Angry Clover is a fun place for entertainment! They host a variety of weeknight events like Bingo, Trivia, and Jeopardy, plus there are plenty of telly's for catching sports. Went for Jeopardy night and the ladies group did well. Just like the show, it's all about wit and speed, with teams (or single players) registering and submitting answers from their phones. Beware that team of no more than six allowed, otherwise create multiple teams if your group is large. The game room is pretty spacious, so another bonus! I ordered the BLT and honestly it was not the greatest. Not much by way of bacon and the lettuce was pretty wilty. The tots were crispy and good though! The Angry Clover is your standard, run-of-the-mill bar in the suburbs. It has been through a lot in the last five years and the remodel has updated a lot of the previous problems. Food is still quite good as far as bar food goes. They have an array of food choices from American to Tex-Mex to Irish, as any good Irish pub does. I ordered the Club Sandwich during this visit, as I have in the past, and it was still tasty. Drinks are decent as well, but a bit pricey. They also offer deals online, so be sure to google search the place before going, so you can get some drink and tab deals. The Angry Clover has started to Saturday/Sunday brunches. The 2-for-1 deals look good as well. Place was clean and relatively quiet. Our server checked in with us several times as well. The renovations that were done have updated the bar, restrooms, dining tables, and pool table areas. The smelly, gross carpet has been removed! Angry Clover has got the crazy deals. 2 for 1 drinks during happy hour. On Tuesday they have $1 beef tacos and $2 chicken tacos. On Wednesday a free beer with a burger entree. Definitely all you could ask for in a dive bar. It's a spot that the locals like to hang. Since this an Irish Pub hints the Clover in the name, we came here for St Patrick's Day. I got their corn beef and cabbage. It did the job! The cabbage was very tender and the corn beef was pretty flavorful. I have also gotten their fish and chips. I enjoyed it but it was nothing special. Their Taco Tuesday tacos are not very good but they are cheap so take that how it is. Besides their food and full bar they've got live music, pool tables, dart boards, and plenty of TVs to watch. Service is okay. It always seems like our waitress has 7 tables so if it gets busy it may take a while to order food or get your check. The one downside is that I don't get good service here. When I asked for the Wi-Fi the server did not know what the password was and said that the Wi-Fi isn't very good anyway. In summary: come here for the drink deals. read more

I've been here many times and have never really been disappointed with the food except the "kids burger" is really just a slider which is big enough to feed a 3-7 year old depending on their appetite, but it's not a bad deal with the fries which are my favorite kind of fries. read more

I created their Yelp page a couple of years ago and the owner yelled at me for creating it. Sorry, not sorry? We stop in from time to time. They have great daily deals like half off wings on Mondays making 10 wings $6. Probably the cheapest deal in town. I absolutely love their buffalo sauce. It is very vinegary just the way I like it. The wings are cooked well and have great flavor. Tuesdays they have $1 ground beef tacos and $2 chicken tacos. They aren't the best but what do you expect for the price. On Tuesdays though, they have poker and bingo and it very crowded and very loud. It is annoying to be crammed up against the poker tables when you are trying to have dinner. They have other specials but not sure what they are. Those are the only two I have gone for. They have a great TV situation for watching football. And they play sound unlike a lot of other Aurora bars. The service is hit or miss depending on how busy they are. usually at the bar you will get good service. Tables depends. I need to try more stuff on the menu but what we have tried are all pretty good. I like the green chile nachos but they do get soggy towards the bottom so I ask for an extra basket of chips to dip. This is not a pub. It's just a dive bar like every other dive bar. Nothing is inviting, they didn't have adequate staff so of course everything just takes longer. Food was mediocre. I had been here in September late night to see a band with some friends. I had no idea about the tacos! The tacos are simple. Meat, cheese, tomato and lettuce. Served in a basket at your requested number. Order 1 or 10. It doesn't matter. Upon Chuck's recommendation start with a beef crunchy and a chicken soft and go from there. This way you can figure out if you prefer the flavor of the meat and the texture of its shell for the evening. According to him, depending on what they started to cook first that day has the most flavor. We had this debate though, he was preferring the chicken, while I preferred the beef. Tuesday night will also get you some Free bingo, which was actually a lot of fun and if you win you get a coupon for 50% off your tab up to 8.00 and some free poker if you are an established player or looking to learn. I ordered, to go, the corn beef and cabbage meal for lunch. It was delicious! The garlic mashed potatoes tasted homemade and they gave me plenty of corned beef. The cabbage was tender and perfectly cooked. I would have preferred a white gravy instead of brown gravy but that's just my own personal preference. I think many people don't realize they have a to go menu because I did not see it advertised on their website. I called in the order and it was ready in 15 minutes, so really fast! We have been coming here for a while for Bar Jeopardy and just watched the owner assault a customer over political signs. Political signs don't belong in a bar. All should feel welcome. But that the owner would lay hand on a customer means we won't be back. Ever. We loved the food and the servers but we won't be subjected to angry bar owners popping out of the woodwork. As far as Irish places go, this is not one I would recommend for its attention to Celtic culture. There is a reason the clover is angry and it starts with this Guinness pour. Happened to be there for taco night. Those were really good. Service was meh. Bar was practically empty but buddy of mine and I were not noticed for quite a bit. But the tender did comp our first beers (see the Guinness though). One chance to make a first impression and this was not the place for me going forward. read more

In addition to our previous favorites, a new one at Angry Clover on our list is the Thursday Prime Rib special. Just the right size for us both, I estimate between 8-10oz slice. Flavorful and tender, the included mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli are great as well. We do not have any leftovers from this great meal. We usually go early during 11:00a.m. happy hour.
