Hi, while there we ordered food. Just a burger. I can plainly see that they have a little grill and it was very busy but it took over an hour to get our food. But that really wasn't the worst part. The lack of communication from the staff was beyond horrible. Not only was there no communication from them. Once I asked for an update on my food. I was told can't you see the grill is small (not my issue) and it's busy (once again not my issue) I can see that all but with how long it took and without communication and attempting to put blame one me while I did nothing wrong other that try to give this place my money. They also ignored us all night while we tried to order drinks. Never seen a place not want my money so much as this place. read more

Stopped in for CB&C and a drink, and watched some live entertainment on St. Patty's Day. Delightfully packed, and servers handled it well. Nice "neighborhood dive" pub feel without getting tangled up downtown. Small outdoor patio. Walls are crazy with photos of "regulars" (always a good sign that they respect and cherish their customers) and Irish memorabilia. Will return to throw some darts on a regular night! read more

Even when busy they were on their A game. Quick, responsive, sociable, kind and friendly. The definition of a local bar. I have drove past this place a couple of times and decided to give it a go for a Friday afternoon happy hour. The do have quiet a few beers on tap, but nothing unique. The food looked good, but because of the time crunch I didn't get a chance to order some bar food. Overall I really enjoy the atmosphere of it. They have live music on Friday nights so be prepared for that. Space is definitely limited and is a first come first basis. A solid bar. They do have a small cooking station behind the bar which I thought was strange. This little cook top turns out some decent food. The drinks are cheap. This place is the quintessence of a local's neighborhood bar. Don't expect a Fado type crowd here. However, the staff is friendly, the food - cooked right at the bar - is pretty good, and the beer is not expensive. My friend and I only heard a bit of the band, which turns this place from quiet enough for nice conversations to very very loud. The decor is older, but very Irish, and is definitely a place for relaxing at Happy Hour. read more

For what it is, Sheabeen is hard to beat. I used to check it out a couple times a month, but since moving downtown, it has been a rarity. After a recent visit, though, it's safe to say the place hasn't changed much. The only notable change seemed to be the installation of an electronic bar game console on the southwest corner of the wraparound bar. Like others have noted, it's basically a strip mall sports bar with a colorful cast of regulars! The drink selection is limited, but not necessarily lacking. For me, a pint of Budweiser compliments the place just fine. If you dig your cider like I do, they have Strongbow on tap, which isn't all too common. The staff is generally very kind and the atmosphere quite chill. Like other bars of this nature, the biggest pluses can be found in the details. The men's room has a wall dedicated to black and white Playboy pictures. There's also a house band, of sorts, called The Dick Frost Band. What do you expect with a name like that, at a place like this? A bar rock cover band with an aging, but totally capable guitar player/frontman, backed by a suspect character on bass, a dude who seemingly got the gig because he could produce a keyboard, and a drum machine? Well that's what you get. I really doubt that the lineup is static with a group like Dick Frost, but I promise you - whatever they hop on stage with, won't be far off. They're really a perfect match for a place like Sheabeen. I hope to return sooner than later! read more

These guys were great. I was there about 10 minutes before they opened, no problem, come on in, have a seat, here's a menu, can I get you a drink? Wanted chicken fingers, but they came out and said there was a problem with the fryer, can I get you a sandwich - very apologetic. Took some $ off the final tab without me asking. I was actually pleasantly surprised at this place, having grown up in A-town close to this intersection, I have been by this place many many times. I remember going to have a beer here with my pops on my 21st birthday, but that was uh some time ago... Pop corn machine, 2 pool tables, back patio, large bar, golf theme and Ladies- In the restroom- Very Nice Eye Candy Pictures' to look at! oh yeah! I overall like the Sheabeen. My boyfriend and I meet our friends here for karaoke. the Sunday night Karaoke is now themed. (Country western, Goth, British Invasion, etc) If you come dressed the part you have to sing the part (well no one'll stick a gun to your head and make ya but yknow) There is always a huge crowd and you'll have to wait 20 people to sing, if you pla on being there awhile it wont be a problem :) The family that runs the karaoke booth is very nice, too. There was only one guy for the whole bar, the BARTENDER, and he was so attentive and on top of everyone. They have a pool table (or two?) and 5 or 6 electronic games including a deer hunting game. Pool is FREE tues and thurs nights! There is a stage with lights and everything for the karaoke singers. The only disappointment is the food. While cheap, it was also mediocre and the portions couldve been bigger. I'm done with the food here. I cant justify paying for it anymore. I will get the jalapeno poppers again, that's probabaly it. I love food as well as the rest of yelp so they lose a star because of that. read more

Could be a good dive bar, which is just fine. Asked the bartender if there was a food menu to which he pointed to the drink menu sized menu and said, "it's there. This is a pub not a restaurant." I don't have a problem with a limited menu and actually prefer it. But you don't have to be an ass about it. Beer on tap was good. Nothing special as it was one of my favorites. Ordered the Reuben with house chips. Just kidding.... actually got a chipped beef Carl budding sandwich and a bag of lays potato chips. Overall. Not horrible but not great. My wife and I have been waiting to try Sheabeen and the Town House since covid closed everything down. I wish I could write a glowing review but in all honesty can not. Started with fried green tomatoes to share...an Idle Wild Grilled Cheese and an Idle Wild Cheese burger. This is a Monday night and while the bar was jumping the tables were very lightly filled. So we waited...and waited...and waited...finally the fried green tomatoes show up. Very limp, very greasy and 4 slices for $12. Mediocre is charitable. Then the burger and burger show up...wait a second...what happened to the idle wild grilled cheese? OK...let's just eat the burgers...again grease is apparently a main ingredient. If you like your burgers rare they would have been perfect. I don't. My wife prefers her grilled cheese sandwich to be a...well grilled cheese. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen but whatever it was it wasn't carefully preparing tasty treats. If you are a young adult looking for a great bar and amazing patrons...this place is for you. Food...going by our experience not so much. Now MAYBE the day after the 4th of July the regular kitchen staff called off...but I really don't think we will be going back again. read more

Just another solid Irish pub that has excellent drinks and food. My wife and I have come here for years as they have kept up this place very nicely. The beer selection is fine and the menu pairs very well. A great Shepard's Pie and a Guinness is a mainstay. The local classic rock bands that play here keep you entertained all night long. I've lived in Aurora for 10 years and decided to try out Sheabeen on a Friday night out with some friends. The live music was playing and sounding good. I was looking forward to some drinks and bar food. I noticed a 6 top available and asked if my party of 4 could sit once it had been cleaned off. I was directed to a table for 4 directly in front of the stage and right next to a speaker. We all sat down and quickly realized we couldn't hear each other even if we yelled across the small table. Same waiter that insisted we sit there came over to take a drink order. We asked if maybe we could move and was told we could go outside and also he would be charging us a $5 cover each. We weren't being rude and there was room for us to sit elsewhere but I guess he thought we were being too difficult. We decided it wasn't really where we wanted to be so we left. While walking out I heard the waiter telling other patrons that were were assholes. Completely uncalled for! We won't be returning and I won't be recommending to anyone to ever go there. read more

One thing about that place made me decide not to eat there on certain nights, the very unsanitary service of the "cook" Sean Carroll. He touches the food with his hands. You see him go to the bathroom, come out with dirty hands and BAM....touches your food. There is some good invention called gloves, he needs to learn about that. I also didn't appreciate him smoking and blowing on my food. I prefer the other cook, Mike, he is a good one for real. Other than that, the bar tenders are very good, they can mix you any drink in a matter of seconds. I'd give the place 5 stars if it hasn't been for that dirty NOT cook. read more

This place... I don't even know where to begin. So I will start with when I walked in. It had a divey feel that reminded me of home and the dive bars I used to frequent in Pittsburgh. Living in an ultra-commercialized area of Florida, I was super excited to relive my past indiscretions. The staff seemed friendly at first but I quickly realized they only seem to pay attention to their regulars. There was a band that didn't end up playing because one member didn't show. There was a random older woman who walked out of the back room licking chocolate frosting off of a giant spatula. The bar wasn't too busy but the main bartender, who wears a flame shirt and we had affectionately nicknamed Red, made it pretty obvious he was more interested in chatting up the regs than serving us. We ordered shots (nothing fancy... fireball because we were reliving our youth) and my friend's cup was disgustingly dirty. So since it was hard enough to get the bartender to come to order the drinks we just didn't do our shots and left after paying our tab. Overall it was a disappointing ending to what initially looked like a good time. read more

Sheabeens is a decent neighborhood bar. Tuesday and Thursday free pool (2 tables) but the sticks are really worn down. Thursday is open stage with a backup band if you play an instrument or just want to sing. Sunday is karaoke night with a great after midnight crowd. Enclosed heated smoking area. If you're looking for a hole in the wall type of place to go in Aurora, this is it. The decor is a bit dated but it's clean and friendly and they have something different going on almost every night. I was there one night and they had a Hee-Haw style band of a bunch of old timers that were just phenomenal. Speaking of phenomenal... if you're not in a hurry, try their cheese burger. Fun little dive bar with some dart boards, pool tables, and tv's for sports. Service was friendly, seemed like they only had one bartender so service was a tad slow. SheabeenIrish pub is my go to bar for a relaxing night and great service. Billiards tables free half the week and only 75 cents the rest of the week. Andy is a great guy who runs the place and employs great people alike! Tom and the other two bartenders makes the experience 180-200% every single time I go in. Fast bartenders, great customer service, and an environment which makes you feel welcome no matter what day you come in (Regardless of time before the obvious 2 pm cutoff time). As a frequent drinker I recommend this place for service, friendliness, and a great environment. Fans who appreciate local music, and billiards players looking for a pub to practice alike, this is the go to pub! This quiet little dive attracts an older (40s) crowd who is just happy to enjoy a beer or a game of pool with a friend in peace. The parmesan salt pepper wings were great. Beer prices were reasonable. Guinness, Harp, Smithwicks, Miller, Coors, Bud, Blue Moon, Jager on tap. Though the decor and name are Irish, the music is classic rock. It was alright for a little neighborhood watering hole but wasn't what we were hoping for (something a little more Irish, honestly). We probably won't be back. read more
