    Nachos - YUM
    Wendy M.

Really tasty food, cool waitstaff and unexpectedly nice dining space. Truly, I was expecting a hole in the wall and maybe there's some truth to this, still. You wouldn't know it's there, tucked away in a quiet parking lot. But, walking in was a nice surprise. Small touches, clean spaces, and great food? Add craft cocktails and a good beer selection? Yep, we'll be back. Their nachos were bomb - too much for me to finish but man, I tried, lol. What I really loved about their nachos was finding all the fixings under any chip. How many times have you had nachos that are loaded with all the goodness, but just on top? So annoying. Not these guys! Their gin and tonics were great as well. My guy ordered their Nashville hot chicken burger and man, the flavors were on point. That burger's got some kick! Loved Griffin Tavern.

    Monday night Football baby!

Busy tonight, Monday night during football, it's a given. Nice sports bar atmosphere but a little dark.. Service was good, but servers were a bit overwhelmed. Food was good and it was with the money

We stopped in for happy hour and had a great time. The service was fast and bartenders friendly, the food was decent, and the prices were great, especially considering it's DTC. The wings were probably our favorite thing, would definitely come back for a beer and a bite.

Repeat Five Star visit thanks to the exceptional service from the bar team (Stacie, Owen, Shelby) as well as the food quality. "Owner-man" Will is often circulating and running food. Nice guy! Owen makes a worthy Rye Manhattan on a rock, for dessert! My latest go-to is the wedge salad, add crispy chicken. I observed a neighbor having a Caesar, so I may give that a try on next visit. The place is usually jammin' busy during HH with Tech Center employees. It also has an industry crowd later in the eve.

Good food, and great drinks. service is decent, happy hour is great. Bonus is that we were given the wrong menus and overcharged by a couple Dollars, when brought into our waitresses attention the manager came over and gave us a couple drinks over a $2 dispute. Bonus- the old fashioneds are awesome. Cajun chicken sandwich aka delicious and totally are super crunchy! Great spot.

Grilled chicken sandwich was good. I liked the salad, too. I got the food to go. The food arrived quickly. It wasn't too busy at the time. Chill ambiance. Bar atmosphere.

I loved this place! The vibe was cool "happy hour," while their food was absolutely on point as well. The servers were all kind, even dressed up since we went on Halloween which was fun. Parking was easy too. The fried jalapeños & pickles were unique & delicious, my favorite of everything. The jam burger was very explorative as well. Although the bacon was somewhat tough, the flavor was amazing. The sweet potatoes were a hit too. The burger was big enough for 2 to split with an apple which was a nice surprise! Will be back to try more

A friend suggested Griffin Tavern for happy hour, and since I hadn't been there, I quickly agreed. The menu looked promising, and we were warmly greeted by the man behind the bar as soon as we walked in. The whole place was smaller than I had expected but it was comfortable. The draft beer specials were on a chalk board next to the fireplace. Our server was Carly and she was prompt and pleasant - even as the place filled up. We ordered the dry ribs and egg rolls to start. I didn't like either of those but the egg rolls were fried to a dark brown and dripping grease so we sent them back. Carly told us that they had new management but I can't imagine the kitchen staff wouldn't change the oil in the deep fryer more often. The ribs weren't what I expected - they were very small pieces of meat and fat with a sliver of bone that required careful eating. They were also fried which I thought was strange. The sauce that came with them was good but I could only eat one. Then we ordered the poutine, which was a large portion and very good. The pretzel bites came with mustard as well as 2 kinds of cheese sauce and were good too. I really enjoyed my Old Fashioneds and the guys liked their beers. Girlfriend had the basic vodka/sprite/cranberry and it was fine. I felt like this was a neighborhood hangout and if I do go back I'll try one of their burgers.

    Coke slaw

Good food, service was a bit slow - but nice when they were available. Not too loud in here for a bar. Got the coke slaw and peppered bacon burger with the sweet potato waffle fries. Burger was done nicely, very good! The waffle fries were crispy and thinner than I expected. If I were to go back, I'd probably change out to the normal fries, which were steak sized fries.

Is there a late night happy hour?

Hi there Nalz C. Currently there is no late night happy hour outside of our daily specials but it's something we're looking into. Monday- Friday from 3pm-7pm it's $2 off all draft beer, every glass of wine, and all of our signature cocktails. On…

The burger was $18 and honestly just average. Nothing about it justified the price. They advertise a "Baja sauce" as part of the burger, but when it came out there was barely any on it. I asked for more and got charged $0.50 for it. Same thing with ranch for the fries (not house-made), still charged extra, and they didn't even bring it out with the food after I asked for it when ordering. I had to remind them, and there was no apology, just a drop-off like it was no big deal. The fries portion was light, and overall the food just felt like corners were being cut while still charging full price. Soggy fries. Dried out burger. Service was inattentive across the board. When I asked for my last drink and the check, they forgot the check entirely. I sat there another 15 minutes waiting until I had to flag someone down again. That shouldn't happen, especially when it wasn't busy enough to justify it. The environment didn't help either. It's loud in a chaotic way, not just energetic sports bar loud, but TVs everywhere, kids running around, babies crying. On top of that, people were smoking right outside the entrance, so you walk straight through that to get in. One of the more frustrating parts: the metal chairs at the high tops scratched my $250 Patagonia jacket. Then to top it off, the blue pen they gave me to sign the check leaked ink all over my hand, which got on my jacket and car afterward. That's just careless. Only positives were that the beer and whiskey prices were reasonable, and the drinks themselves were fine. However, I took a risk with places like this because most likely they haven't cleaned their beer lines in years. Overall, this felt like a place that charges like it's better than it is, but cuts corners on both food and service. I won't be back. Not worth the $50+

For an establishment that markets itself as an Irish pub, there are three things that should be…read morenon-negotiable: a proper Guinness pour, Irish Coffee, and authentic Irish food. Unfortunately, Slattery's misses the mark on all three. The Guinness is consistently disappointing. Anyone familiar with Irish pubs knows that Guinness requires proper technique and patience to pour correctly. The results here are often subpar, which is surprising for a place that prominently advertises its Irish roots. The menu leans heavily toward generic sports bar fare rather than traditional Irish cuisine. The overall experience is also inconsistent. Service can be good one visit and disappointing the next. Food quality varies from visit to visit, and the restaurant often feels loud, crowded, and not particularly well maintained. My most recent visit was especially frustrating. I took a client out for dinner, and the patio tables were dirty when we arrived. Between four beers, one appetizer, and two burgers with fries, the bill exceeded $130 after tax and tip. That price might make sense for a high-end restaurant, BUT NOT AN IRISH PUB. It does not make sense for average bar food. Nothing about the meal justified the cost. Add-on charges for sauces, and even credit card usage only make the value proposition worse. The biggest issue is value. This is supposed to be a neighborhood Irish pub, not a Michelin-starred restaurant. Dining out has become expensive everywhere, but charging premium prices requires premium food, premium service, and premium execution. Slattery's consistently falls short in those areas. If you're looking for authentic Irish food, a properly poured Guinness, or a reasonably priced pub experience, there are better options in the Denver area. Save your hard-earned money.
