My favorite burger in CO! Delicious, it's pricey but a great place for a burger, side, and drinks every once in a while.

This restaurant was recommended by some locals. Staff were friendly. I ordered the nachos and chile relleno egg rolls as my appetizers. Both of these were fantastic. I am not a ranch person, but I enjoyed their blacken ranch. For my entree I had their seasonal jalapeño and strawberry burger. This burger did not meet expectations. The burger was cooked to perfection, but the pairing of toppings was off. I did not taste any jalapeño and the strawberry sauce was hardly present as well. Tonight was my third time at 5280 Burger Bar in Westminster. I have had a great experience each time. Today is a Tuesday which means two for one appetizers and beers. The chicken bites are my favorite. They are lightly breaded, more chicken than breading, served with hot honey sauce...so good. We also had the cheeseburger egg rolls...delicious! The burgers are always cooked perfectly with so many tasty options. The food comes out fast and hot. The best part is the service. The staff are friendly and attentive. Ashley is the GM, she couldn't be nicer. It's obvious the staff respect her and they all work well together. We will be back next Tuesday if not sooner. read more

So good we visited twice in a week! We moved in just a few blocks from 5280 Burger Bar and it always looked busy when we'd drive by so we had to try it ourselves. It didn't disappoint and we enjoyed our first visit so much we returned a few days later. Spacious restaurant with a fair amount of outdoor seating, we really enjoy the setup. We have yet to dine al fresco since it's been fairly hot but we'd like to try it when the weather cools off. Everything we've had has been good, two things that stood out where the lobster roll and the prime ny strip (Thursdays) which were outstanding. Good variety of craft beers, cocktails, and wine with something for all palates. I love that an ice cream shop is attached to the restaurant, on our first visit we took a pint of their Heath Ice Cream to go since we were stuffed. I do need to return to try some of their sausage dogs! Great spot, lots of parking, fantastic staff, and large menu with lots of specials make this a regular to be on our rotation! read more

Food: Their pretzels are delicious here!! Crunchy salt on top of a soft, pillowy pretzel with a side of delicious queso makes it a go to. The 'What The Guac?' burger was yummy. The guacamole wasn't brown at all which tells me that it was fresh, and that freshness paired nicely with the heavier beef and toppings. The truffle fries were also good, crispy and flavorful. I would say a little less on the salt because the Parmesan cheese made it extra salty. Service: Our server was great, attentive and kind! Many of the servers seemed to be happy to work here and there was a good amount of servers, they were not understaffed at all. Came here on a Friday night to order takeout. It was understandably packed! Everyone was very overwhelmed, and it seemed like they were understaffed. After around 35 minutes we got our food and left. Unfortunately, both of our ordered were wrong one being so wrong that I couldn't eat it. They also got the side sauces wrong. Went to 5280 in Westminster on Saturday because of an email from the owners inviting us to come see their new menu. Arrived around 7pm. Was seated immediately and that's where goood went to bad. It took quite awhile (over 15 min) for a server to tend to us. Once they came, they (two of them) took our drink order and asked about appetizers which we ordered with a free one being given by the previously mentioned email. We then waited another 10-15 min for water to arrive but no drinks. The appetizers came and still no drinks. Also no forks or knives to enjoy our food. (The table behind us gave us their extras). Once the drinks arrived we were able order dinner. Ordered tacos and other items. When food arrived the tacos were very small and very expensive. The other food was "meh" at best. We never had our drinks refilled and only saw our servers one other time. Totally disappointed by the whole experience. Would not recommend that you go on a Saturday night. As for me... Medium to large burger bar with several locations in the Denver area. Modern interior with warm lighting. Went to this one in the suburbs in a plaza. Pretty busy on a Saturday night. Menu has a selection of beers, burgers and sides. The burgers don't include sides. Got an amber lager(?) from the draft list, and it was a really good beer. As for the food, I got the mushroom burger, cooked to medium. The burger had a nice bun, thick juicy beef patty cooked to desired consistency, and a nice cheese and mushrooms. We usually come here for the excellent burgers if we want something out of the ordinary selection . The ambience is chill And comfy, the staff is fantastic. Last night was no exception as my family of 7 (including my son and my newborn daughter) came to eat and we chose to sit outside to eat sooner. The two hosts were very accommodating and Friendly (boy and girl) and sat us quickly outside. Our waitress was wonderful too. Halfway through getting the appetizers and drinks out the weather shifted and we were COLD. After trying to tough it out and the heaters turned on the wind was just too much. I asked the hosts and a manager to find somewhere for us inside even though they were PACKED. Instead of being rude or unaccomodating they put two smaller tables together within ten minutes and helped us bring our food inside. We've been here twice and both times the service, food, and patio dining was terrific! The Ring of Fire Hamburger is exactly what it says it is! I like heat (the spicy kind) and this one brings it! The 2nd visit we ordered the Magic Mushroom and added poblano pepper - mmmmmm! The burgers are cooked to our preference, they are flavorful and the ingredients are fresh. The fries are fire! And even though I don't usually care for onion rings, my husband loves them so we got the rings and fries the second time and I had to try one. It melted in my mouth! Perfectly breaded and cooked where the onion is soft and sweet but not mushy. I would be happy having this on my plate again. The shosito pepper appetizer is delightful in giving that fresh green taste without being super filling (unless you eat the entire basket of peppers, that is!) Finally, while the air began to cool and the patio we decided that a frozen custard swirl was the ticket to making summer last a bit longer, and it tasted like summer on my tongue! silky, creamy, and filled with both vanilla and chocolate flavor. A series of things went wrong - our food was brought out wrong- we were given regular fries instead of truffle fries, which we told the food runner, but it didn't get fixed until we told our regular server -the fries were just ok- most were hard and overcooked, on both the wrong order and the corrected truffle fry order - everything seemed to take a long time -found a fly in my husbands drink (under the ice) I don't blame our server for any of this. Our server was really friendly and obviously doing his best, but it looked like he was running at least 7 tables, which is just way too many. They are probably understaffed, but this was a lot of problems to have on what should have been a slower Sunday at 2pm. The burgers themselves were good- I really enjoyed the black and blue- the blue cheese dressing was a nice counterpoint to the bacon, and it was cooked perfectly. I also really enjoyed the perfect burger and the onion rings. The mucho mojito was also good, although I would definitely ask for them to go easy on the jalapeño, as the spice level of an individual jalapeño is variable, and two can be way too much for my wussy self. The sunrise mule was excellent, with the grenadine giving a nice balance to the liquor. I was disappointed that the draft menu online didn't seem to match the menu in person. The salted caramel custard was fabulous, and a perfect balance of salty and sweet. Overall, I love the patio, the decor, the abundance of televisions, the server, it just seems like a lot of things fall through the cracks, which can add up. Sydney was our bartender. She was so friendly and gave us great service. Happy hour was delicious that was a nice surprise. The garage doors open by the bar, so when there is nice weather it is a great atmosphere. We will definitely be back especially with great service like this. read more

Went in for my birthday, and i must say this is a pretty cool place! The dining area and bar is very nice and clean. Full bar with a patio and lots of seating! Clean and well kept! Went with my parents and got 2 of the "I can't decide" duel slider sampler, the ahi tuna sandwich and the Durango burger. With the samplers we tried the Perfect Burger, 5280 burger, Boss Hog and the Prime. The Perfect Burger was very close to Perfect! Its an Angus Beef patty with Gruyére Cheese. A Bacon Onion Jam and pickled Red Onions. And finished with lettuce and garlic mayo. The buns are soft and moist. The 5280 burger is a classic cheeseburger. Nothing special but very good. The Prime burger is a wagyu patty with an onion ring and BBQ sauce. The sauce is interesting. Maybe not my favorite bbq but it was ok. The boss Hog had potential but I thought the pulled pork on top was dry and dried out the whole burger. The Fly Fisher (ahi tuna) was AMAZING! The tuna was perfectly cooked and the Wasabi aioli was soooo good!! The Durango burger had jalapeño cream cheese and crispy onions. A little sloppy but the mess didn't deter from a great review!! Spicy but not too overly spicy. It's a good choice if you like jalapeños on your burger! One downfall is the burgers don't come with a side. The sides are extra. We got side salads, the fries and rings combo and the fried brussel sprouts. The fries and rings are GREAT!!! CRISPY AND FLAVORFUL. Hand cut and fresh!! The side salads are good and the house made croutons from buns are delicious! The sprouts were very well cooked. Crispy but not overcooked! Overall the food is great! 9/10! I live close to this restaurant, and have visited a handful of occasions. Some visits have been better than others. Their model is built on premium burgers served "al a carte." They offer fries and onion rings on the side, along with some other items. Unfortunately there is no consistency with doneness of burgers or the level of service. I prefer a medium burger, which should be a pink center, no red. The first 4 visits here I ordered medium but it was served medium rare 3 times (mostly pink with slightly rare center), medium once. I figured based on these experiences they just lean towards a rarer level, so today I tried medium well. It came out absolutely well done, zero pink. It was also half covered with sauce on the outside of the upper bun, which was over toasted and crumbly. Very disappointing for a place that charges a premium price for a burger. The prime steakhouse burger does come with the house burger came with the house made 5280 steak sauce, but blends in perfectly with the seasoned meat; it was just the right amount of streak sauce to where it's not overly dripping off the burger as I'm eating it. Burgers don't come with sides, but there are many side options to choose from. We opted for the onion rings and fries shareable basket. I loved the onion ring batter and seasoning! I only wished that the basket was more balanced rather than a ton of fries and only 4 onion rings. We were seated in the bar area, and it took quite a while just for a server to come over and take our drink orders. By the time they came over, we placed both our drink and food orders immediately. Visited here last night to see if perhaps 5280 Burger had returned to his former glory. I'm very happy to report that both of our burgers were juicy and tasty with buns that didn't fall apart and our side of fries and onion rings was equally back to what we were used to in the pre-Covid days. Great job 5280 on the comeback. I'm raising this back up to four stars. Will be back soon and if the quality remains consistent, I'll have no problem putting it up to five stars. Super good food and even better service, the crew seems like they wanna be at work and they enjoy coming to work, I seen and embraced a smile from every employee that I seen at 5280. For once I can say that the burger that was served too me looked exactly as advertised online. Maybe it's because I went a little later in the evening when they were closing up but the burger patty tasted like it was sitting off the grill or under the heating lamp for a while...it definitely was not fresh off the griddle, I know these burgers can be so much better if the patty was piping hot so I'm definitely willing to come back at a more decent time and and give it a second go! The Guac that came on the burger tasted super fresh and yummy. The Bacon that came on the burger was spectacular, rich, smoky, savory bacon!!! 5280 Burger Bar was a pleasant experience for dinner. I ate at the restaurant with four guests around 7 p.m. on a Wednesday and we didn't have to wait at all for seating. The restaurant offers plenty of indoor seating and outdoor seating, too. Outdoor seating consists of traditional tables and picnic tables. I ordered a Cucumber Mint Mule and Greek (sandwich), which was about $24 total. The Moscow mule was a big disappointment. The cocktail was mostly ice and barely contained any alcohol (and I feel confident in saying this as a lightweight, irregular drinker). The Greek sandwich was very yummy though! Our table also ordered fried pickles that came with ranch and a large order of fries. Burgers and sandwiches do not come with sides, but our waiter recommended we order a large fry and that was great. That side order was perfect for all five of us. As for the atmosphere, Burger Bar is a traditional American restaurant. Unfortunately, our appetizer plates were not clean. They had butter on them. We also had two bees hanging out on the window near us and eventually had to ask our waiter to take care of them, but that's really not the restaurant's fault. this was the second stop on our Denver trip. The family decided we wanted burgers and this is kind of a new hipster place to eat at the fries were really good. We stopped in here because of all the great posted pictures on line. They have a very cool catering truck outside, a bar and even an ice cream shop! "So cool" "get so cool?" Yelpers get a fee scoop of ice cream with check in "I got the cookies and cream which was amazing" The service was good and the server was friendly. I ordered the Durango burger and seasoned fries. This was a fun family outing. We had wanted to try this place for some time. The staff was welcoming and upbeat. The restaurant is clean and there was ample parking. We all ordered burgers, of course. We also got a basket of fries for the table. The fries were tasty. I had The Perfect Burger: Angus beef, Gruyére cheese, bacon onion jam, pickled red onions, lettuce & house-made roasted garlic aioli. It was delicious. My son enjoyed The 5280: Angus beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, Kosher dill pickles and their special sauce. It was a winner. My daughter loves barbecue anything so she went for The Boss Hog: Angus beef, cheddar cheese, slow roasted pulled pork, smoked bacon and their in house barbecue sauce. She devoured it and enjoyed every bite. My husband cannot have seeds and they accommodated him by using two bun heels to make The Durango. It was a tasty combination of Angus beef, jalapeño cream cheese, lettuce, roasted red pepper, onion straws and bacon. They also have an ice cream shop adjacent to the Burger Bar. I was craving a burger something fierce but didn't want to have to cut my burger with a knife and fork (gluten free problems) and someone said 5280Burger had real gluten free buns and not pieces of cardboard. They were so right!! If you're gluten free (celiac or preference), you know the feeling when you see a bun and it looks too good to be gluten free, that's how I felt when the burger showed up. I double checked and then inhaled The Perfect Burger. It was FANTASTIC! The waitress also said the fries aren't made in a shared fryer and so they were celiac safe. This is still a family favorites. They offer options for those with celiac or gluten free preferences- The gluten free bun is more like a wrap, it's good but don't be startled when you see a bun missing. I actually prefer it as often bulky, dry gluten free buns take away from the taste of the burger but for the $3 additional charge, I often just ask for the free lettuce wrap version and am just as satisfied. The last time I ordered Ring of Fire they pumped up the spicy level from medium to mouth on fire. I can't say that I enjoyed it lol and I'm a big fan off spice. But I life think that was an anomaly. Usually my taste buds are still in tact after. I will probably opt for the mushroom burger moving forward. Our family's favorite part of this place is their ice cream selection for desert! This place is a little pricey and I am always surprised at myself for being annoyed that fries to come with the burgers because I know they don't come with the burgers so should just accept and move on.
