I have fond memories of going to a diner just like this when I was growing up... there are a lot of choices to choose from, but I love coming in and seeing the specials because it's the good diner food ... tonight we got hot turkey sandwich ... yummy!!!! I can clearly comprehend as to why this eatery is a local favorite. The building is fun, the decor is cool, the food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. Our server was a strikingly beautiful woman named Parker. She was fast, efficient, bubbly, personable and simply good at her job. We had drinks within two minutes of sitting down and our order taken within five minutes. Ten minutes after that, we were eating. That's impressive on its own but when you factor in they were wall to wall busy on a Sunday? It's crazy impressive. The overall efficiency of the kitchen staff must be impressive to watch. Our food was traditional American fare and it was made extremely well. My veggie skillet with pancakes was a Denny's type dish but larger, with more fresh veggies. My pancakes were fluffy and perfectly made. The BLT my friend ordered was twice as much food as she eats in a sitting and she had to box it up and take it home. I have had many meals at the Broomfield location over the past decades. My experience on Monday. The food and service were fine, not great but adequate. My order was Biscuits and gravy. This order came with 2 Biscuits, gravy, 2 sausages patties, 2 eggs and toast. I orderd a black coffee with my breakfast. The bill came and with a $5.00 tip I had spent $27 dollars and some change. I realize that people have to make a living but for just a regular old breakfast I felt I had been worked. It will be some time before I go back. read more

This was our first time coming to the restaurant and we picked it because it was close to where we were shopping. We had no idea that it was kind of a 50s style restaurant. The service was incredible. We walked in and the second we sat down she asked us what we want to drink and brought our coffees over like 30 seconds later. Wow, I'm impressed by this little diner! This is a solid 4/5. The interior is kitschy with 50s nostalgia decor. I came for breakfast, and ordered the strawberry shortcake French toast. This is crazy... it is made with real poundcake! The result was a decadent French toast and not overly sweet. They have vegetarian options and gluten-free bread. (Of note- nothing specifically vegan). The menu is pretty big and includes a Mexican breakfast section. There is a full bar including liquor, beer, and wine. I ordered a Rumchata spiked hot chocolate. It was delicious! I'll be back! This is a great place to come with older folks since they have a special menu with discounted prices for seniors. I eat breakfast at Great Scott's regularly but this time I decided to try their BLT with a side of fries. The portion was huge. The big slices of toast were topped with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomato, and crunchy bacon. The french fries had just the right amount of seasoning and crunch. My boyfriend was hoping to order the chicken nuggets which he enjoys at Great Scotts. However, they were completely out of chicken nuggets and chicken fried steak on this particular day. Giving 4 stars for that reason. He ordered the stuffed biscuits and gravy instead and wasn't as pleased with this choice. It really has that old diner feel! The bacon jalapeño skillet I ordered was straightforward and to the point exactly as described. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the rye toast was a nice complement. I also ordered a side of their green chili and that was for sure my favorite part of the meal! I actually used a little bit of it as a "hot sauce " for the skillet and that took everything to the next level. Inexpensive, delicious, fast, and local. They are quick to offer refills and provide personable service with a smile! We stopped in for breakfast on Wednesday morning and were very happy with everything. I had the A.M burger, which was a bacon cheeseburger with an egg and hashbrowns on top. The burger was tasty, and the egg was made over easy like requested. The patty itself was sooooo thin, though! If i would have known, i would have ordered at least a double! It came with some very crispy seasoned fries that were delicious! We also had the chicken and waffles special that came with a breaded and fried chicken cutlet between two Belgian waffle pieces. The chicken was seasoned and cooked nicely! The waffles were moist and fluffy. A very good choice if you're a fan of chicken and / or waffles! We also shared the Brew shroom, fried mushrooms. They were great as well! First time at Great Scott's. The decor is a fun 50s diner. The menu is extensive, from breakfast all day to entree salads to Mexican dishes to typical diner fare. We went with diner - fried chicken for the man and a Beyond burger for me. Both were really good. Service was friendly and well-paced. Our only complaint was that the menus need to be cleaned regularly because they were greasy in our hands.
