It's easy to see why Bob's Diner is a favorite of locals in Louisville, CO. The day we were there, the wait was about 20 minutes for our group of six to be comfortably seated in a corner booth. Waiting wasn't a chore because there are quirky shops in the corridor outside the entrance, including a used bookshop. Our waitress was lively and very quick to get our order in and out on the table. I had an English muffin, tomatoes, avocado, spinach, two eggs, swiss, with a side of potatoes. On the menu it's called Louisville Muffin. I really liked it with the stack of veggies under the eggs. Bookguy had Carol's Potatoes: chorizo gravy-covered potatoes topped with two eggs, and a side of toast. He especially liked the chorizo gravy. A third member of our group ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Everything came out just the way she liked it. It's a bit noisy when it's packed with diners as it was this day, but the food is great so no doubt we will be back when in Louisville. read more

Better than typical diner experience with good food, great portions, and decent prices, but the service could definitely be better. We had the pancake combination breakfasts, one special and one slam. They were both very good and the pancakes are big and fluffy! I must also note that they actually know how to cook bacon here! You're not just served a limp piece of fat; it's actually cooked and close to crispy! The down side... We waited almost an hour for a table since we requested a table only, not the bar. The unfortunate thing about this place is that it is very small. There's a total of about 7 or 8 tables and it is very popular so it gets crowded with wait lines quick. The big complaint I have about this place is that even though it's a small place, and has 2-3 waitresses that we noticed serving tables, the service is slow and inattentive. The staff are all very nice, but we had to catch someone and ask any time we needed a coffee or water refill, and the check; things you should never have to ask for. I've seen staff at bigger restaurants handle way more tables more efficiently. read more

Absolutely loved it here. Such a quaint little diner experience. There was no wait when we arrived at around 11am though there was a 20min wait by the time we left so you definitely have to pick the time you go smartly. The customer experience was amazing. Happen to be in town for business this morning and found BOB's Diner. Service was great, food was amazing. Great little place for breakfast and lunch. My brother lives right on the edge of downtown Louisville & is within walking distance of everything. He rarely dines in and likes to walk to his favorite spots to eat every day. The crazy thing is that the quality of the food in Louisville is somehow far above that of other small towns. I realize that all the places I've eaten there have been well vetted by my brother and his family but I'm not used to having such a great concentration of fantastic places to eat. this was my first trip to Bob's with him and it didn't disappoint. My brother is a burger and fries guy and I'm a Reuben & rings person. I can't speak to the burger but my Reuben was top notch. I loved the marble rye and the onion rings where perfect. I also ordered a short stack of pancakes since we were there before noon and those were also great. Our server was excellent and knew my brother's order without him even needing to give it to her. if you're int eh neighborhood, this is small town excellence! read more

My husband and I eat here all the time because it's great food, exactly what you want when you go to a diner, reasonably priced, and they get you in and out very quickly. My boyfriend, who lives in Louisville, and I have been visiting Bob's for breakfast for quite a while now. I though it was far past time I write a review! Bob's is one of those consistently good places to have breakfast. I always feel full and satisfied after I leave. For a diner, the food isn't too greasy, and the flavors are excellent. My boyfriend tends to change up his order every other time we go, but I always stick with the Huevos Rancheros. Even without the green chili it always satisfies my breakfast/brunch cravings. The addition of Frank's RedHot sauce, which they always have on hand in a squeeze bottle, is a perfect condiment for the Huevos. I never would've thought that of that as a substitute for the chili, but I'm glad Bob's did!! Their home fries have been perfectly crispy every time I've ordered them, and their mimosas are pretty darn good as well. Thank you Bob's! I'll be seeing you soon I'm sure. read more

The food was good and the staff was super nice and accommodating. I went there with my aunt from California because we wanted breakfast and I was lured in by the offer of a breakfast quesadilla. (It was worth it.) I ordered it without two ingredients, flat-out substituted something and asked about the type of cheese used. The waitress (who was wearing a cat costume because it was Halloween morning) didn't bat an eye and accommodated politely and with a friendly attitude. My aunt also ordered a custom breakfast and received the same treatment. If I have anything negative to say, it would be that I didn't realize that between the (quite interesting) vintage shop behind the restaurant and it being brunch time on a week day that meant sever aside everyone else there would be of retirement age. And me a mid-30s in bright pink! I felt a bit out of place and worried about making others uncomfortable. read more

The good: We called in advance to see if we could still eat there even if we weren't going to be there until 140. We arrived at 1:46 and they were nice enough to accommodate us as they close at 2. Seated right away. Drinks arrived immediately. Coffee tasted good. The bad: $12.50 for a tiny, 2 egg, vegetable omelette, with about 3/4 cup of potatoes and one tiny pancake on the side? Way overpriced considering the portion. Coffee refill was never offered. I asked and was given one refill. My coffee cup then was empty until the end of the meal. Breakfast quesadilla for $12.50 tasted good but is ridiculously overpriced as well. Other: Kids' grilled cheese and kids' hamburger were an average deal but then we saw that the kids' glasses of milk were $2.95. Really?? $3 for an average size glass of milk? Wtf? Why is this place at least 33% more expensive than it should be?? My guess is that they don't want repeat customers. We will definitely not be back as there are MUCH better options for breakfast/brunch with normal prices. read more

How can a diner be out of both potatoes and eggs? There is a store not far away, why not send someone to pick up a few dozen eggs and some potatoes or just close for the day if you can't make most of the items on your menu? We stopped in here to get a diner breakfast and were told that we couldn't get anything on the menu that required eggs or potatoes which is pretty much all of the meatless options and we're vegetarian, so we left. This is a great morning diner, very traditional and exactly what you'd expect from all the good and bad stereotypes. The decoration was very 50s-60s, with teal walls, red glitter chairs and the white tables. The staff was as friendly as they needed to be, and the food was fast. The diner is pretty crowded. We went for brunch on a Saturday and we waited 20 min for 2 people. In the end, we got a tiny table in the middle of the room constantly surrounded by people walking around. Additionally, if you have any type of anxiety towards loud or crowded spaces, THIS PLACE IS NOT FOR YOU! My guest had trouble staying calm and the breakfast turned pretty stressful after a while. The food was pretty well done. They have a lot of smothered options with their tasty green chili. The Kitchen Sink was a very tasty option if you're looking for a cheap, big breakfast.
