    Chicken pot pie
    Makayla K.

5 stars is not enough for The Post. We came for the Thursday special of pot pie with three people who LOVE chicken pot pie. Our waiter Dominic was so helpful and friendly. He checked to make sure they still had pot pie and had them open every warmer to find us the last three in the building. It was worth the trouble. These pot pies were extraordinary. The crust is flaky and the middle just felt like comfort. The chicken has fantastic flavor. We also enjoyed the chicken thighs as well as our 4th friend had a chicken sandwich. Everything was prepared hot and fresh. Do yourself a huge favor and go on a Thursday for this pot pie!!

Drove up the street from the bookstore to the PBC in Lafayette and immediately walked into a cute rustic restaurant with exposed ceiling and wooden lights. Our waiter Ryan was personable and friendly. Service was great and prices reasonable. For appetizers we had the devil eggs ( 6 bite size) and I ate the side order of creamy mac and cheese dish. For the main course, I had a huge bowl of crispy chicken and goat cheese salad and my partner had the fish and chips meal. My salad was fresh and delicious and so big that I had to take the leftovers home. So happy to have found this gem!

Everything should have added up- there were a ton of complex flavors between the pepper syrup, the sauce on the sandwich, the hint of rosemary in the breading and the honey mustard, but it just fell flat. The chicken was very, very dry, almost overcooked, they charged $1 for sauce, and our poor server was running tables and the bar, so we had to flag her down for everything. The biscuits were good- like a big dense red lobster cheddar biscuit, but with honey butter. It's a shame because the lore for the place is cute- the original building was a VFW post, so that's why it is called The Post. I really wanted it to be better than it was.

First time dining at The Post and won't be the last. Next time we eat here we will definitely make a reservation. The parking lot is tight and easily gets full early on. Service : 5 stars. Our waitress was super nice and knew we didn't have much time left before happy hour ended when we got there, so she kindly suggested us review the menu and get orders placed before it was to late. The devil eggs, French fries, and wings were so good. The French fries were seasoned perfect and had enough melted cheese on them. The wings were crispy and had a nice flavor with their ranch dressing. I could have ordered another batch, but we had a lot of food coming. The biscuits were a dense, but not in a bad way. They came out warm and the butter melted on contact. I got the 3 piece chicken tender w a side and of Mac and cheese and omg were they good. The tenders weren't greasy and had a nice breading. The Mac n cheese was very creamy and if you add a little hot sauce it takes it to another level. My husband got the chicken pot pie and it was so creamy good. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the cheesy pie. It was good but the size wasn't worth what they charged. Over a great meal and a good place to go with friends to have a beer too.

I came for the Beer and STAYED FOR the CHICKEN! This local Brewery has the best fried chicken! They fry it up with rice flour and a special pressure cooking method. You simply get the crispiest, juiciest taste. Fun place to gather with friends and listen to live music. The service was top notch.

The Post has an awesome vibe as soon as you walk in. Ben was amazing, super friendly, informative, he was spot on with the suggestions. He took such good care of us, I had to get the chicken crispies you never see chicken thigh tenders there were delicious. Everything we ordered was so good. The manager stopped by and chatted with us welcoming us to Colorado. I really enjoyed their in house Permanent Breeze IPA, so much so I brought one home. I can't say enough great things about the post Visiting from Maryland, we'll definitely be back before we leave. My SIL took these great photos.

Had the Howdy Beer to start along with the deviled eggs and rotisserie chicken and crunchy slaw as a side. Eggs were creamy and still maintained the yolk flavor which is rare as some restaurants smother it with mayo. Tasty smoky bacon crumbles were tops. The chicken was flavorful, moist and tender. Do yourself a favor and add the crunchy coleslaw. One of the best I've ever had. Atmosphere is great with a spacious bar for singles like myself. Service was prompt and courteous. A must stop for beer aficionados.

    Is this place dog friendly?

There is an outdoor area with picnic tables and corn-hole and a fire pit...I would think they would let dogs in there, but I would call to make sure.

Is the outdoor area dog friendly?

Hi! I've never seen dogs there so I assume not! However, Avery Brewing co in Gunbarrel has an awesome patio that is dog friendly. Also, I think the Rayback Collective, also outdoors, is dog friendly :)

They have one of the tastiest chicken sandwiches around. Great portion size and the chicken is so tender and crispy, exactly what you want in a chicken sando. Relish has an online ordering system which is great for order ahead service and there's tons of sitting room both inside and outside to grab your food and hang out. I've had their Smashburger, but I felt it was a little too burnt - maybe just an off day as people seem to like it. I'd consider giving it another go. The chicken sandwich and tots are what keep bringing me back although the price is a little steep with $21+ for a sandwich and a side of tots. All in all, a great local spot to stop in for a yummy meal.

Magic Food Bus is a great example. Their business was exactly as the name indicates, a food truck in a converted school bus! Like c'mon how freakin' cool. Fast forward and now they are one of the staple food stalls in the impressive Relish Food Hall and Pickleball. For starters, this place needs to be added to your list. The space itself is stunning, spacious, and extremely well thought out. When it comes to the food, husband and wife duo Gary and Ashley are cranking out food that they love to make. They make a mean mean burger, but today I'll talk about the two items I've had from my visits. Messy Italian ($12) // Louisville local old style sausage patty, roasted poblano, mozzarella, provolone, marinara, toasted pretzel bun. This was a special (just FYI) but I would advocate for it making a more regular appearance on the menu! This is an old school Italian deli sandwich that you won't find too many people making. It was the perfect Colorado-Italian home style bite that I absolutely devoured. Hot Chicken ($16.50) // brined and fried chicken breast, signature hot sauce, duke's mayo, dill pickles, toasted brioche bun. This was hands down one of the crispiest chicken sandwiches I've ever had! In a sea of chicken sammies, this one stands out. It was crispy, juicy, and spicy. I would argue that I would actually like to see the sauce even hotter, but that's a personal preference! If you had this side by side with your favorite fast food sandwich you'd pick this one 10 times out of 10. There's a lot of TLC put into every sandwich they create. It's evident upon each bite. Hop on the MF Bus for a craveable and addictive meal!!!

The place was clean and quiet. Next, the food, the wingssss were DELICIOUS! I love wings and love fries, and this place has both, and they were both good! We ordered mango habanero and hot wings. Lemme tell yall, the mango habanero came with mango bites that add to the deliciousness of the wings . Also, since it was my first time here, I was scared the fries were going to suffer since the wings were very good, but I'm glad they were just as good! They have a lot of sauce options, so we tried to get one from each tier: Garlic Parmesan, Carolina BBQ, Medium, and Mango Habanero. My favorite was the garlic parm and Carolina BBQ. The medium tasted vinegary kind of like franks red hot and I just wasn't a fan. The mango habanero had a small bit of spice but was lacking flavor. Pro tip if you get fries and the garlic parm dip your fries in the sauce, that was easily the best bite we had here. The service was however stellar and the reason for the extra star because the food itself was more of a two star experience. We would probably come back if friends wanted to go but we would not go out of our way to visit again.
