Delicious food, pleasant staff, clean and inviting environment. Would absolutely visit again when I'm in the area!

Excellent brunch for Mother's Day. Small breakfast menu, but great variety none the less. Friendly staff from hostess to the servers. I had the breakfast burrito with the green chili, big and delicious. Guests had the banana bread French toast, again very tasty! We will be back again.

Staying at the hotel next door and decided to have breakfast here. Looks nice inside and on the photos. Came around 10 am and restaurant was almost empty, only two tables occupied and our quiet family was seated next to a very loud group of 6 people, plus loud music... decided to have breakfast somewhere else

I went here with a friend of mine today based on his first dining experience not long ago. He was pretty impressed with the Beet Salad he had then so he wanted to dine in again. I absolutely had no objections to it. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't live up to his expectations this time. Our waiter (young man in his mid twenties; was it Jeremiah??) was professional and pleasant so the service was good. But our food took a long time before they came out of the kitchen (our waiter thought it was taking long, too so he quickly stopped by and told us that he'd check on it.) Our food finally came out 5-10 minutes after that. Well, good thing that we weren't in a hurry. I liked my Kale Salad. The added protein (chicken) looked dry but when I tasted it it was decently moist. The portion was decent, too. Now his Beet Salad wasn't as good as the first time. Also he said that the portion looked a lot smaller this time. This was a bit disappointing to him. The restaurant was pretty noisy (he said that the only thing he didn't like about this place (when he dined the first time) was the noise.) We sat at the two-person booth right next to this large group of people; on top of that, the noise was mainly because there were people who were watching the football game that was on TV at the bar area. This restaurant does have a little bit of that "sports bar" atmosphere. Will we dine here again? Maybe...

I tried this place at the recommendation of a friend who lives close to here. I love the ambiance of the old train depot with original architecture incorporated and the rustic theme. The market lights around the outside are a nice touch. The service was fast and attentive. I did not catch our server's name but she was attentive without overbearing and let us sit and chat for a while once we finished eating without rushing us to get her table back. The food is delicious. I had the chorizo mussels appetizer as my entree and oh my goodness. Plentiful mussels in a delicious broth with lots of pieces of ground chorizo and roasted tomatoes served with garlic bread for the broth. I also tried the roasted Brussel sprouts which were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The highlight was the Brazilian Limeade cocktail which I can only describe as key lime pie in a glass. Not overly sweet with just the right amount of creaminess and a refreshing lime flavor. I only wish I would've saved room for dessert. Parking is paid but is in a nice garage and isn't very expensive. I paid $3 for 2 hours of parking. I hope to be able to visit again next time I'm up in Boulder.

Super cute place with a great vibe and a good menu with lots of options. The service was good and food was tasty as well. It took a little long to come out but it was fine and worth the wait. Will def be coming back.

Nice spot in boulder . Outside is pet friendly which allowed a friend who was meeting us there bring her dog. Inside super cute . Modern industrialized feels. Bathrooms downstairs Outside has some warmth lamps if needed but does get cold after sun goes down ( October ) Food was good . Loved the Brussel sprout app. Pizza flare read and salmon. Croquettes ok Mushroom burger ok . Loved the lemon parm kale side

    Margarita Margherita Pizza

The ambience is nice, the seating is small though, and the restaurant seemed a little understaffed. This could also be why it took so long to get our food. Speaking of, the margarita pizza was good but they put way too much garlic on my fries.

This used to be one of my favorite places for brunch/happy hour, but our last visit was so disappointing. The food was overpriced and underwhelming, and the service was atrocious. We waited 15 mins before a waitress greeted us, and she was very unfriendly and condescending. Rhiannon, bless your heart, you gotta work on your customer service skills and not be flat out rude to a patron's face. The bottom of the flatbread was burnt and the addition of broccoli to prosciutto & fig didn't mesh well. I watched the waitstaff and some kitchen staff use bare hands to finish dishes and sprinkle toppings on food. The law prohibits bare hand contact with ready-to-eat foods? The whole experience was a bummer (we wasted $70 on this meal) and we will absolutely not be going back.

This place was everything we were looking for. First off the menu is extremely well done, with pizzas, burgers, salads, etc but also some really interesting other options. We ordered the pretzel bites appetizer which were veryyyyy good. My entree was the lemon chicken: a bed of potatoes (I got fries instead) with chicken cutlets and a garlicky cream sauce. Outstanding. My sister enjoyed the prime dip, and my mom got the beet salad. The service was really REALLY good. Emma Kate sat us, and our server Maya was amazing- we met some of the kitchen staff and Annabelle and Javon are just the coolest people. It was such a good experience- I would 100% come back.

I absolutely love arepas and the second I saw this place in the Avanti food court I knew I had to get it because I've been craving good Venezuelan arepas rellenas for so long. I'm vegetarian which they had multiple options for and I decided on the 'La Original' arepa with black beans, plantains, and avocado, and I requested for cheese on it as well which they added free of charge. The arepa was everything I could've ever wanted and it didn't fall apart while eating it even though it was super full which was good because that does happen often with poorly made arepas. I also got the sweet fried plantains which had cheese and their special sauce and were so so good. The employees were kind and attentive and the food came out in about 5 minutes because there was pretty much no line. I loved this place and wish I lived in Boulder so I could get it more often. Si te hace falta una buena arepa venezolana, te juro que este lugar no te decepcionará, ni en su calidad, servicio al cliente, ni su autenticidad. Lo recomiendo con todo mi corazón y te juro que saldrás lleno y contento.

We ordered to eat there, but they still packaged our sandwiches to go. The staff didn't call out the order loud enough for us to realize they'd been prepared, so I think they sat at the counter for a while. My son was happy with his chicken pesto though he commented that it could've used a more generous application of the pesto. I kinda suffered from order regret. I chose the Turkey & Brie. The moment I unwrapped it, I was overwhelmed by the onion smell. Even after removing some of the onion, its presence lingered. My bad, I ordered it after all. The turkey and Brie comes with apple slices, and two kinds of mustard - a honey mustard and stone ground mustard. The honey mustard is what caught my eye. While I realize stone ground mustard is tangier, this sandwich was overcome by the strength of the onion and stone ground mustard. You don't even notice the apple and Brie. Just an overall miss for me. Last, if you happen to be dining in, you can use a bathroom (with a code) but it's a block away in a parking garage. I'm not down in Boulder super often, but I'm likely to skip a return visit. If I were to return, I'd try the chickpea and avocado sandwich instead and hope for better luck.

I consider myself a fair reviewer, and will do my best to provide constructive criticism in hopes the management will take some steps to educate their staff. My husband, daughter and I spent the night at the Boulderado on the evening of 4/23. In the morning -4/24 -while they finished packing I went down to the restaurant first to get a table as we only had about 50 minutes to go back to our room to get our belongings and check out. The restaurant was not very busy, and I thought to myself, "Great!" The hostess picked up 3 menus, then paused, sighed, and said she wanted to give the server a bit more time to catch up, and she asked me to sit on a bench, though there were multiple open tables where I would have gladly waited. My husband and daughter joined me shortly thereafter and the hostess finally seated us, saying there was only one server working. She handed us 2 breakfast menus when there were clearly 3 of us, and my husband had to get up and go to the host stand to get another one. Our server came by after some time and took our order. Oddly, we saw a different server with another table so she was not the only server working after all. She brought my husby's coffee, but no spoon. Well, at least there was a knife because several servers passed our table without even a glance. He was never asked if he wanted a refill, even when he asked for a spoon and his cup was nearly empty. She didn't even give him enough time to ask for more. The kicker was the manager, pony tail guy- standing outside the restaurant in front of the coffee bar with our server and two other young ladies, laughing it up while we were sitting there completely surrounded by no coffee. Not one person asked if they could bring us anything else throughout the entirety of our meal. We literally had to wave them down for the spoon, then nothing. Time was running out so I sent my grumpy husband and frustrated daughter back to the room to get our luggage and said I'd wait for the server to pay. I sat there another 5 minutes holding my credit card up, and even caught the eye of pony tail guy across the bar, but eventually had to just go to the bartender to ask for the bill. I likely could have just walked out without paying and no one would have even noticed! I will say the food was fine. Hubby had the Denver omelette, which he said was flavorful, and our daughter and I each had the Avocado toast which was very nice. Loved the seedy bread. However, the service-or lack thereof- left a bad taste in our mouths. We love the Boulderado and will be back, but unless there is some training of their young waitstaff we aren't likely to return to Spruce. Overall, the restaurant staff seemed completely disinterested in the customers and couldn't be bothered to even offer a friendly smile. For a hotel like the Boulderado with the reputation of a historic gem, we expect much more from their restaurant. We have dined there previously, most recently last year when we had a lovely server, a much more mature and professional lady who was lively and joked with us. It was a very busy morning and she made sure we felt taken care of even when things took longer. We left with a smile on our faces. A few final words of wisdom- 1) even if things are busy, stop by a new table to offer a pleasant word and let customers know someone will be with them shortly, even if it's not your table 2) when you bring coffee be sure you provide a spoon, and at least one check in about a refill 3) stop by to ask if your customers need anything else, and get them their check in a timely manner 4) if you are a manager, don't stand around gabbing with your staff in plain sight of your customers, while said customers are being ignored, and 5) a smile goes a long way. The only smile we got was from the bartender who at one point seemed to be the only person running the show.
