Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto
Sondra S.

Went with a friend. I called first, as we are both gluten free, and their online menu doesn't say anything about diet. Natalie answered, and was so supportive. She knows gluten free diets and said she could guide us. She saved us seats in her section and knew we were on a schedule. I had the mushroom and asparagus risotto, which was delicious. I only wish it was a slightly bigger portion. My friend had the enchiladas with chicken. They were a bit too hot for her taste, but pulling out the peppers she could see, helped, and I think we will both go back. And ask for Natalie! Nice find in my friend's neighborhood!

This small restaurant is a Gunbarrel shopping center is slightly difficult to find, it's just south of the Burger King. But keep looking, it's worth the visit! This food isn't fancy but it's not bad at all. The wait staff is very attentive. The food does take a little while but at least you know they are making it to order. I ordered a soup and salad and would have liked to have the salad first but both arrived at the same time. A great little place to meet up!

Yes! Great food, great service, and honest people! The Brussel Sprouts appetizer was fantastic. The big burger with the Caesar salad (anchovies optional) was delicious as was the crème brûlée. All that was great! But like an idiot.... I left with my phone and wallet in hand and left my bag in the restaurant...with close to $400, my hot spot, my rental car keys, etc. Since we caught a ride I didn't notice this fact until 1:00am and I was packing to leave for the airport in the morning. Oh excrement! Faced with a giant towing and key replacement fee for the rental I was not hopeful. My cousin's wife messaged them on social media, they responded! And they had my bag! The restaurant was closed all day but they still met my people to retrieve the bag in which remained all of the contents and cash. They refused a $50 gift of appreciation too. Great people, great food, thank goodness and thank you!

Asparagus and mushroom risotto with blackened salmon. Absolute effing perfection in my mouth.

Best hidden gem ever. I almost don't want to write this. Every damn thing I've ever ordered has been mouth watering delicious. Owner is friendly and nice (husband is a curmudgeon but he can cook). All staff is AWESOME and every one of them pours a stiff drink. Best chicken Parm West of the Mississippi. Best wraps (grilled and warmed to perfection). Best tasting fries you'll have in Colorado next to Morning Glory (Lafayette) fries. Tiny bar. Pro tip: call ahead to reserve a seat at the bar.

Good food. Seems pretty healthy. I wish their restaurant weren't in a strip mall though.

Used to be good, now seems dark, grungy, lounge-like feel. Also pricey for rural Boulder county.

5 Stars across the board- coffee, pastries, atmosphere, service…read more The coffee here is fantastic. Full stop. I got a cortado so I could really enjoy the espresso, and enjoy I did! The pastries are the kind you'd hope for in a dedicated bakery. Every one of them was exceptional and I could pick a favorite among the three I tried. HIGHLY recommend the: - potato rosemary danish, - kouign amman (pronounced queen aman), - and apple fritter (these tend to sell out early!) I may be back later today or tomorrow to get more of these. They're THAT good. The staff was lovely and that's worth mentioning for a coffee shop that's so good you would accept a bit of snoot. Super kind and open to offering suggestions. And atmosphere is 10/10. Grab a seat, your laptop, and some f&b and enjoy. We got a seat in a little side room with a skylight and big plant (still open to the main room) and hung out for a while. Overall, the kind of coffee shop that makes me wish I lived here to do some work here, enjoy their brews, and order their Thanksgiving pies for my fam!

The breakfast sandwich (with sausage) was good - the bun it was on was super soft and a mismatch for the structured sandwich. It ended up being hard to eat. The Roman sandwich was ok but had too much cheese. Our coffee (drip and an oatmilk latte) were good. It was busy on a Tuesday morning at 8:30, we were lucky to get a table for two.

Their food is a tad on the expensive side, but the quality and vibe justified trying it out. I tried their raspberry cheese danish, which was super flaky and buttery with a tasty raspberry filling. They heated it up for me, which made it even better. It was warm and crisp on the outside, soft and slightly tangy in the center. I also ordered the hibiscus lemonade tea, which was nicely tart, refreshing, and not overly sweet. I'd definitely get that again. Service was really friendly and welcoming. The staff were kind and efficient despite it being busy. Ambiance-wise, it's a great study spot overall. It does get crowded, so tables (especially ones near outlets) can be hard to snag. The background music can be a bit loud at times, but with headphones in, it was totally manageable. Overall, a great place to grab a pastry and drink while getting some work done.

A nice second location in an easy to access shopping center, the south end of Twenty Ninth St…read more parking is easy in the lot so we combined two stops, a lunch at Alpine Moderna and pick up order at Staples. We often use the original Alpine Modern on the Hill but this is the same menu but sometimes more convenient when we'd rather not walk or have other business at Twenty Ninth St. Sadly when we arrived and I tried to order my favorite of their toasts (Blueberry Ricotta with spicy honey and almonds) it had been discontinued the day before after many years! I was so sad but I ordered the classic Avocado and it was fine. I hope they bring the Blueberry Ricotta back for summer. My husband had the classic smoked salmon. Maybe next time I will try that. He had a mocha and I had iced tea. Their drinks are always good and they have a few holiday flavors right now. Sadly, their pastry selections are not as wide as in the past. But service is good, the seating is clean and comfortable. We'll use this location when in the area or in bad weather.

We had heard of this cafe as they had been food hosts at a party at a Kühl on Pearl and were hoping to actually eat in their cafe when they coincidentally moved next door to one of our favorite local eateries. We were in the neighborhood around lunchtime so we stopped in when we arrived it was busy, by the time we left, it was packed. It's a unique menu fit for most palates and healthy as can be. It attracts athletes if all ages, healthy eaters of all types. You won't find much meat but there is some. It also as an Asian flair with offerings of congee and fried chicken sides, fish, rice and veggies of all sorts including kimchi . Japanese egg salad sandwiches too. That's one I need to try next time. Today we both chose the mushroom congee with 7 minute egg and a hot drink. A spicy chai with oat milk for my husband and berry hibiscus tea for me. We both enjoyed our meals but just a bit too much garlic for me but just right for my husband and must others too. I loved the volumes of mushrooms and the sprinkles of spices on the whole egg. The egg was done perfectly. My husband brought home a side order of popcorn chicken as I will be at a meeting so he will be eating dinner alone. The service was great, everyone friendly and helpful the cafe bright and clean and the ordering counter moves fast. They deliver to and clear the tables. More quick casual places should do this to avoid the piles of debris at bins in the seating area I often see. There is a flat panel screen on the wall featuring cyclists in the wild given that energy snacks were the first products of this company and much for sale here too. The mix of diners covered the spectrum of adults you would expect in Boulder. This cafe is only breakfast and lunch so come when convenient earlier in the day. Parking is free and always available in this center. Lots of construction around the intersection so plan your trip to get into the lot via Alpine and not Broadway. That Broadway construction will be ongoing for a while. It's also a good place to arrive by bike. Pricing was very affordable and variety of meals wide.

Disappointed to hear reports the breakfast burrito has suffered shrinkflation?! Undecided if this location closer to me in north Boulder is better and more convenient?? Although further from me, the old Pearl St spot made it easier to link up errands.
