Best burgers in BoCo. Great fries, with a curry option in the Irish tradition. Limited menu but always well prepared!

Located right next to the movie theatre is Spitz, a mediterranean feast…read more When walking in there are various tables you can sit at. You order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table. So if you are new to this place, I would grab a menu and take a seat somewhere before ordering, if you haven't had a chance to look at the menu. My husband and I wanted to get a wide array of what was on the menu but we opted for the loaded street cart fries with a mix of sweet potato and regular fries and the OG gyro with beef and lamb mix. Because I wanted to try the chicken gyro I got the mixed meat for my street cart fries. They accidentally forgot to put it on my fries so I got it as a side. The food was really good, especially the sweet potato fries with a side of garlic aïoli. The fries inside of the gyro were pretty good, but I would but felt it was overloaded by other flavors. I also got a drink of a passionfruit Mezcal, which was nice and smoky. Overall, I would come back to the spot, but it is definitely not an everyday spot due to price point. It was around $52 for the two entrees, the drink and tip.

Sure it's 'fast food', but damn... You sure don't feel like you have eaten 'fast food'. The veggies are always fresh, and the bread nice and soft. I have never actually eaten inside, but the takeaway is just great.

I went to Safta's brunch with my family, and I was skeptical that it was a buffet, but I'm so happy…read moreit was. The buffet allowed me to try everything - and it's nothing like what you're picturing. There was constantly warm, fresh pita to try the hummus, whipped feta and tabbouleh. There was constantly fresh fruit out with honey yogurt that was to die for. While there was a ton of meats and cheeses to try from, the star of the show was the falafel. You can't miss trying it, it was the best falafel I've ever had. The vibes were great for brunch, and I highly recommend going for buffet style if you want to try a bunch of things on the menu.

No wonder this place is hard to get a reservation at and Michelin recognized. It is stellar!…read more The hotel it's in also has nice vibes. The restaurant has this nice open feeling to it with a full bar (you can order off the full menu if a solo or pair dining) and then plenty of tables. I recommend coming with a larger group if you can so you can try lots of things. Servers are nice and attentive. Obviously you have to try various hummus plates. The foraged mushroom and brussels sprouts were my favorite. I especially loved the jalapenos on the brussels sprouts one. The hummus itself was creamy and rich and the pita they bring is warm and fresh. The tabbouleh was fine but nothing spectacular and it says it has avocado in it but I didn't detect it. I love muhammara and theirs did not disappoint. The pickled vegetables were nice but I also love pickled anything. Absolutely make sure to get the bright green falafels. Probably my favorite of the night. Perfectly crispy exterior with a soft warm center that I'd eat over and over again. We ordered the duck but I was quite full so did not taste it. The only reason I'm giving 4/5 stars is the scallops were incredibly underwhelming and quite bland. The scallops themselves were cooked fine but no flavor and the pomegranate sauce didn't add much. There desserts were also just so-so.

Hello Longmont and Boulder County!…read more A quick check in here at Red Cedar Bistro on Main Street! We had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant today and had an absolutely wonderful experience! We ordered 4 plates three shareable and 1 entree. We were taken back by the green chili hummus! It was spectacular- a guacamole style flavor profile full of delicious chickpeas, chili and garlic. A generous portion served with pita , veggies and olives. Our Crispy potato Bravas were a delicious crispy cut potatoes cooked to perfection served with a brava sauce that was spicy, a small hint of smoke and a creamy aioli that was a perfect topper! We finished our small shareable with chef Bruschetta. Fantastic toasted bread topped with chefs choice. Our entree was a Pasta full of amazing Burrata, Pea shoot pesto and a fresh mint finish! Generous portions. Our service was exceptional and the restaurant was clean, large, open with a lot of windows and amazing art! We would not hesitate to suggest - No - encourage - Well - maybe more like - GO and visit them! Seriously, You will not be disappointed. They offer many evenings with specials, a happy hour that sounds fantastic especially for the upcoming spring/summer months! We look forward to seeing this restaurant busy! Side note restrooms are clean and reasonably sized.

So, the food was very good! Well executed and solid quality ingredients…read more However, they would absolutely kill it if they would: 1) Install decent lighting. I mean, the drip ceilings with too-bright can lights and nothing else makes for an awful vibe. I mean c'mon. Even putting cheap candled and some basic overhead lighting that adds interest to the space would go a LONG way. 2) Staff for the night, not based on bookings. Especially in a place like Longmont and the sheer size of the space (way too big), you must be prepared. Tonight (Sat) at peak time to have TWO servers and one apparent manager or owner (who didn't jump in to help handle tables) is absurd. Luckily, the young lady waiting tables and trying to make drinks was truly a delightful person. 3) Arrange the floor in a way that makes it feel more interesting. Break it up, smaller groupings, etc. The setup now feels completely amateur and random. Anyway, enough free (and unsolicited) advice. Truly, the food was VERY good, so make it pleasurable to be in the room and you'll do well!
