Should be 5 star but they are not there yet. Details below. First time here, will go back for sure. Food: - Had several things family style. Overall great flavors. - Free tea water is fantasic, great touch! Portion Size: Pretty good, some items were right on for the price others on the small side. Service: Kevin is top notch. Decor: Basic (fine by me) and love the tables, Kevin made of course Easy stuff to improve on... Plates and utensils are a huge negative, please use something that adult sized and appropriate for food that needs to be cut and with sauces / liquids. A plastic fork was literally a size made for a 3 year old hand (not exaggerating). There is no way to scoop up an adult size fortk-full... epecially with rice. Non-coated paper plates make cutting chicken, etc not great when the plate is saturated with sauce. At minimum wax coated paper please. Hopefully soon the restaurant will be 'complete' and we can do the food justice with real plates and utensils but until then, please up the usability of what you can provide in this. read more

Lovely back patio with "bubble tents" and amazing food, perfect for a family night out. The shrimp cakes were a special treat, along with the drunken noodles. Legit Thai-level spices. Lafayette has a great new Thai restaurant! Bee's Thai Kitchen. Went there the other day and absolutely loved the layout. Not your typical restaurant. Quiet, relaxed and friendly. They are still building up. For now, they are cooking in their mobile unit while they construct the rest of the restaurant, but not while you are there! I had Pad Thai with chicken. My wife had Samosas and Pot Stickers. Go give them a try. read more

We tried the food truck for snacks at a brewery in Erie. It wasn't terribly over priced but the portions are small and mediocre. The pot stickers are probably frozen out of a bag? It's hard to say but $6 for 4 was rough wherever they came from. The veggie summer rolls were handmade but didn't seem rolled particularly fresh. Unwrapping them from the Saran Wrap made the rice paper split. The filling was 90% mixed lettuce with a little basil and apples? Please fix your menu board. Children filled potstickers is probably misprinted as chicken but I really rolled the dice ordering today. All jokes aside it was a mediocre experience and it felt phoned in. read more

Thai food is the only food I'll review because I can't cook it at home. Having literally eaten Thai food all across the country, as well as in Canada, England and Australia over the past 35 years, I know Thai food and highly recommend Bee's Thai Food. Interestingly, their Thai iced tea is literally the best I've had in the past 12 years. As a reference, having eaten at Busaba on 4 different occasions, I never left thinking, "I can't wait to return." After eating Chicken & Cashews at Bee's, upon leaving, I called a friend insisting that we go to Bee's! The kitchen is in a food truck but customers eat inside at tables. The food is served in "to go" containers with plastic utensils provided. While the atmosphere is not as elegant as Busaba in Louisville, the food is superior! Give Bee's Thai a try...you'll be back! read more

Oh wow!!! Truly Thai Hot!!! Beware!! This food truck sits at a brewery around the SE corner of 287 and Baseline Wednesday and most Thursdays. They also sit in front The East Simpson coffee place some Thursday's. Not sure what all hours they have but check their Facebook page. The truck is amazing. It's all purple with Asian inspired designs. It was too dark for pics sadly but I'll get them next time. We happened upon it quite by accident and decided to give them a try. We ordered eggplant with chicken, pad prig khing with beef, chicken egg rolls and Thai Taro custard with sticky rice. Egg rolls-super light n crispy, very fresh and delicious with the plumb sauce. They were very oily. The Pad Prig Khing is super fresh, meat was tender and flavorful and level 4 was definitely hot hot. We eat Thai hot all the time. This place gives it to you with slap in your mouth. Eggplant w chicken. Omgosh I freakin love it!!! Also level 4 also hot hot but I love that. The chicken was so tender not rubbery like so many other Asian places. Veggies are so fresh and cooked tender/crisp just the way I like them. My only tiny little critique is the Thai Taro Custard. It's way too sweet for my taste. If they could just cut the sugar in half it would be perfect!!! We will be back!! read more

Sharing fried rice dish not a good idea unless you're into a sampling of this entree. Normally I can share my Thai rice entrees with another adult and an appetizer and feel satisfied. Not the case here. Entrée Portions are sparse. Did not even meet the half way mark of the to go container. For the 17.00 price we were very disappointed. I ordered pepper and lemon with crispy pork for an additional fee. Wow, 6 slivers of fatty diced pork (rec'd six small thin 1/2 in pieces) with a minimal amount of meat and mostly FAT. Maybe thats the Crispy meaning. Anyway, the soup was tasty, again additional charge for protein and not worth the extra fee. Desert was mango with 1/4 cup of sticky rice and not the "size " portrayed in the picture on the menu. Honestly, if I was Thinking, I should have taken pictures for proof. I did think food was tasty but prices did not fit serving sizes. I choose to not return. We felt really disappointed for our first time with the pricey food truck. If we are going to pay 100 for 2. We did pay 48.00 for above, but if we each got our own (WITH TIP AND Erie extra Fee) we would rather sit in a restaurant and get waited on. Just an opinion. read more
