Came here on a Friday night and they weren't busy, which was really nice. The restaurant is not super big compared to their Thornton location but clean and well lit. The food was decent, nothing to call home for... but the portion size was bigger than I thought. The Mongolian beef was my favorite, the beef was tender. The salt and pepper shrimp was definitely made for non-Asian crowd, it was peeled shrimp - breaded and fried like nuggets vs shrimp w peel and head the traditional way. It was also way salty... but paired well with rice. All in all is a bang for your buck but again, a decent Americanized Chinese food. Service was really good, but they tend to be nice when you're a Chinese speaker. Will be back for the crab cheese wontons, the skin was thin and fried crispy... and the Pupu platter, don't pass them up. Get the premium menu with soup and Pupu platter included, it was worth the cost for us. read more

The food and service is always exceptional. It is definitely a hole in the wall, mom and pop authentic Chinese restaurant. The prices are very reasonable! The chef often comes out to greet customers and his recipe for the orange chicken is too die for. Sweet, crispy and infused with orange peels. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and opened the plate to everything being the same color. Chicken was super cheap cuts and chewy. The teriyaki sauce they put on there you can tell is store bought. What a pleasant surprise tonight. My wife and I were visiting from California. We took a walk and decided to try Heaven Dragon. What a find! Inexpensive, lots of ingredients, and generous portions made this a great choice. We had soup for two and Happy Family. They brought out some steamed rice at no charge. The norm in California is now paying $2-3 dollars per person for rice. This place has very good food at very good prices. Service was great too. read more

I always find it interesting that the restaurant has a picture of a ex president on the wall. The president isn't a food expert but heck it's a fun picture to put on the wall. I believe there are several Heaven Dragon restaurants in the Denver area and I have always come to this one. One of the reasons I come here is the chicken wings. They are fried up so crispy and they come without sauce which is how I prefer them. They also have a nice dinner plate for around $14.00 which includes a entree of your choice, a soup, egg roll (which are really good) and rice. The dinner deal will definitely fill you up and likely give you leftovers to take home for breakfast the next day! read more

The food is really good. Orange chicken is the bomb. Good pad Thai. Everything is fresh. No weird flavors. They can get a little busy so check your order before you leave. Cutest place all in red. Always good takeout. I have never gotten disappointing food here but I docked a star for how long it takes to get your order. Whatever they tell you on the phone for pick up, add 10 minutes. We for door dash the other night and it was about an hour and 10 minutes. As long as you are planning ahead like we did, this isn't a problem. Definitely the best Chinese food in the area. We haven't dined in for quite some time but the space does have alot of seating and people get in pretty quickly. read more

I was really looking forward to egg foo young just like I remember it - light and fluffy with just the perfect brown gravy. I'll have to keep looking. Heaven Dragon's was plenty large - 3 big patties but flat and overcooked and all we could taste was the the fryer grease. My better half got the Mongolian beef which was more onions than beef and the most prominent flavor was that of the grill. On a positive note the service was excellent. read more

Food was unedible, ordered Almond Fried Chicken, which is actually served as a stir fry of mostly Bamboo (waitress had to be given a piece to ask cook what it was), celery, water chestnuts, finely sliced Chicken (probably 1 chicken tender for platter) the sauce was unedible, just awful. Bbq pork fried rice, dry and obviously re-heated. Chicken curry, also finely sliced chicken, not the best but more edible. Very disappointed and will never be back. read more

We've been ordering from Heaven Dragon for a long time. These days ordering out is only for special occasions, and we had one today. One of my favorites is Shrimp Egg Fu Yung, and that's what I did today. I was halfway through one pancake and suddent thought, where's the shrimp? There have alwas been whole shrimp, but I couldn't find any today. I started tearing the pancake apart and notice tiny pink flecks among the egg and vegetables. I used the magnifier app on my phone and sure enough, they were little shreds of shrimp. I know times are tough for everyone, so I'm sure they save a lot by shredding a few shrimps for three pancakes. But maybe they should consider how much they save on one order of egg fu yung, compared to how much they lose long term when a customer never orders from them again. And they've just lost us. read more

Strong 4 star rating here. I used to frequent this place when I worked down the street in 2005-06. It was passable Chinese fare at pretty reasonable prices. Especially the lunch specials!! The last time I ordered from here before today was over 10 years ago. I was very unhappy with the quality and it was so greasy it made my belly ache. But this time hubs and I were pleasantly surprised. We ordered: Chicken Lunch Special. 8 wings with egg rolls and cheese wontons and sauce on the side. Some of the wings had a crust and some didn't. Strange but delicious!!! Very crispy and well seasoned Sesame Chicken lunch: came with egg roll, cheese wonton and soup (we ordered hot n sour). Our soup arrived with crispy wonton strips. It's been a lot of years since I've seen soup come with those and we were so excited. The soup was ok. Definitely needs more flavor and black pepper. All they have is white pepper which just isn't the same. Dark meat, super crispy chicken with a thick, super sweet sauce. Hubs gives it a 4 I say 3 outta 5. Fried rice was good. Egg rolls and wontons definitely on point!!! Delicious times 5!!! Sriracha Chicken with steamed rice lunch special. Sliced white meat chicken with veggies in a slice and sweet sauce. To be honest it was too sweet for me. I really love the spices and flavors but I just wish they'd come down with the sugar level. And I could barely taste sriracha if at all. It was good but I'll probably order something else. Again hubs liked it a lot. He gives it a 4. Everything was super fresh and hot. We went in for lunch today and found that, unlike many other restaurants, their lunch menu is a available on Saturdays; that was a nice surprise! We both ordered the Prawns in Lobster Sauce which was delicious. Our lunches included soup, choice of white or fried rice (too dry), an egg roll, and a cheese wanton. My friend really enjoyed her Sweet and Sour Soup. I ordered Egg Drop Soup and expected the usual rich, yellow, broth while what I received was quite different and not really to my taste. Though, there were a few hiccups re the soup and sides, the Prawns in Lobster Sauce was marvelous and would definitely bring us back! read more

We have been going to this restaurant for several years and the food has always been very good. I do not know what has happened, but the last 3 visits have been less than satisfactory. My two favorites are the Lemon Chicken and the House Pan Fried Noodles. The noodles were either not fried or underfried, but were gummy and chewy. The chicken was tough and had been sliced to razor thin. The breading was over fried - almost to the burnt stage. We will either find a new restaurant or I will discover some new favorites. read more

Arvada location I am a huge fan of Chinese food and heard this place had good food. I should have known since my friends think Panda Express is good that this might not be that good. Did not find the food here good and the restaurant did not have many people eating in the restaurant. Maybe sweet and sour pork was not one of their better dishes. The general gao's chicken was amazing!! Loved it!! Egg rolls are small and weren't to good. Beef lo mein was delish. Crab Rangoon's (cheese crab wontons) what we call them in New England were good but could have used more filling. Will definitely order again. read more

There's something about post-pandemic takeout. You order and restaurants who have their hands on the food and packaging don't want any contact with the clientele. (I'm not saying, I'm just saying.) And then they put the food on a table outside. I feel like some jabroni is gonna take my food every time, although it hasn't happened yet. Anyway, Heaven Dragon has good food. The value is moderate. Was really disappointed by our experience here. Had placed an order for pickup a few hours before the pickup time and my order was apparently missed and not ready when I arrived - I wound up waiting 45 minutes in my car for it to be ready. Then I get home and finally try the food to discover it's pretty bad - very bland, not much in the way of seasoning or flavor. The egg drop soup was particularly bad. This was the worst experience. Ordered chow mein. What I got was a dish that primarily consisted of white onion, carrot and a little bit of pork with a side of egg drop soup noodles!? (Pictured) I called and asked where my chow mein was and was told that this is their version of chow mein...my boyfriend ordered General Tso chicken and after eating some of it, found a white/blonde hair in his food. We went and took both orders back and the lady at the front said that since we ate some of the chicken, she would only refund us $5. Good going lady, you just lost two customers for life.
