This is a small location which I felt comfortable in. I noticed that this is a family run restaurant, you can tell by the kids having lunch and doing homework at the same time. It was around noon when I walked in and observed the chef eating lunch which didn't bother me, hey you gotta eat man! ordered a couple things on the menu, Orange chicken and Pad Thai. I should have maybe asked for a recommendation. I figured you can't go wrong with these two. So simple and so easy.. The orange chicken was delish. Unfortunately, I couldn't say the same for the pad thai. There was something to the dish?? is it tomato sauce? Something acidic, aside from the squeeze of lime. There website states "We are a Local Chinese Restaurant serving Pan-Asian cuisine to Erie, Colorado." I wonder if this was the reason for an odd taste to the pad thai. Please work on that dish. If I'm ever back in town, I would love to give this place a second try.

I don't normally write reviews but I feel this restaurant deserves it! Tonight is the first time I have ever ordered here. I ordered takeout at 8:39pm (like an idiot) when they close at 9pm, which I won't be doing again because that is just plain rude. In all honesty though, I'm so glad I did! The staff was friendly and courteous as soon as I walked in the door, it didn't even phase them that I ordered food last minute. I live so close to this place and I am stoked to say the least! I opened the bag up when I got home and the food was hot, fresh and each container was filled to the brim! But the flavor of the food, now that is the cherry on top. Two words, ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Restaurants like this deserve to be recognized for taking pride in what they do! I will be enjoying this over the next few days because I have so much food (was not aware of the dinner rations.) Thank you for the quality customer service and delicious food, I appreciate it and the fact that you took my order even though I ordered so late!

OK, so no one has posted a pic of the foo yung for this restaurant? Really, come on people. For your viewing pleasure, this is provided below. Actually, it was really good. Done just the way that Yan Can taught me except here they throw in some juicy chicken chunks, mmmm. We also had the shrimp walnut honey something which was quite unique and tasty. Egg drop, wontons, and dumplings all really good for take out. Stop, we didn't eat all that, lots of left overs. Don't judge. Pandemic take out only yet was on time and hot.

For super fast, good Chinese food with friendly service, Foo Yung Express passes! We ordered take out and it was pretty good but what really surprised me was how fast! I placed the order online and it was ready in 15 minutes! Was it the best I've ever had - no, especially since I got Pad Thai and it was definitely not authentic but why would I expect a Chinese restaurant to have that?! Honestly, they were so friendly and fast we will definitely try again. I will also add that the place was very clean!

I've tried this place twice! Chicken lo main, Mongolian beef, crab ragoons and edamame. They are very friendly, fast and the food is great!! So happy to have a Chinese place in Erie that's actually good. I am excited to try their calamari, lettuce wraps and drunken noodles.

Pretty good grub, standard Chinese take out, does the job, probably the best Chinese takeout around.

The common thread across every dish was not inconsistency but uniform blandness. What arrived on our table lacked taste, energy, and intention, as if the kitchen was simply executing recipes without engagement or care. The moo ping should have been a highlight sweet, smoky, caramelized, and alive with char. Instead, it arrived hollow and lifeless, missing the marinade and fire that define the dish. There was no depth, no fragrance, no sense that the cook believed in what was being served. The accompanying rice was merely filler, and an additional order of Thai fried rice continued the same pattern: edible, but flat, dull, and entirely uninspired. My wife's gluten-free Pad Thai with tofu, a dish built on balance and brightness, was especially disappointing. It lacked acidity, sweetness, umami, and spice every note that gives Pad Thai its character. The noodles felt seasoned out of obligation rather than intention. It was food that offered no pleasure and no reason to return to it, ultimately left unfinished out of sheer indifference. This experience was not about spice tolerance, dietary restriction, or personal preference. Five people ordered widely, and the conclusion was unanimous: nothing stood out, nothing lingered, nothing satisfied. When every plate is this muted, it signals more than an off night it suggests a chef cooking without inspiration, without curiosity, and without soul. Thai cuisine is bold by nature. Having eaten throughout Thailand, we know that even the most modest street stall delivers food with clarity, confidence, and heart. What was served here bore little resemblance to that tradition. Last night (contrary to other nights and lunches in the past) , Bangkok Avenue did not simply miss the mark it stripped Thai food of the very element that makes it special: taste. A Hidden Gem in Plain Sight…read more Dined-in, and this place truly feels like a hidden gem. This was my third visit, and I'm already planning my next. The staff are incredibly friendly, and you can tell it's a family-owned and operated spot. It's simple and unpretentious--no pretenses, just good food. The flavors are bold and comforting. I ordered two dishes: braised beef brisket and beef stew with wontons. The braised beef was the standout for me--sweet and savory in perfect balance, with meat that melted in your mouth. The beef stew with wontons was delicious as well; the beef was tender, and the broth was clean, rich, and refreshing--great comfort food for a cold Colorado day, or any day. My wife tried the chicken pho. The broth was smooth and revitalizing, and the chicken meat seemed freshly hand-pulled. She enjoyed it immensely. If you're looking for solid, flavorful food in a welcoming, no-frills setting, this place is hard to beat.
