I'd say the consensus was overall positive. But we do have some critique. I had the drunken noodles with pork and mild spice. It was tasty. I enjoyed the sauce, but the pork was tough and there weren't many vegetables. The pork was better as a leftover later. I ordered this because it listed veggies. But those were sparsely placed. Perhaps I needed to ask for extra. My husband had Moo Ping very mild. He said it was tasty, but again, the pork was chewy, hard for him. The rice was so hard, he couldn't cut it with his fork. So that went uneaten. My friends went hotter and it seemed their meals were better. She had Grandma's Pad Thai. I tasted it. Yummy. He had a very hot curry that I didn't try, but he seemed to enjoy it. If I went back, I'd get her dish. They also ordered three appetizers. Edamame might have been frozen. They were mushy to me. And no salt that I detected, so bland. I didn't put enough sauce on the golden tofu, I guess. The others enjoyed it. My husband really liked it. And we all enjoyed the shrimp tempura. My friend also had a mixed drink and seemed to enjoy that. It was quiet enough that we could catch up and it's in between where we live. In all, a good experience, with both hits and misses.

Solid Old-School Chinese Restaurant in Brighton…read more We just moved to Brighton and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant in the area. We had passed Asia Inn a couple of times and finally decided to give it a try. We ordered the fried chicken wings, sesame chicken, and combo chop suey. Unfortunately, the chicken wings were our least favorite. They weren't really traditional chicken wings--they were pieces of chicken on the bone that had been cut up. The flavor also wasn't particularly good, so we probably wouldn't order those again. The sesame chicken was tasty, but it was pretty heavily breaded and didn't have as much actual chicken as we would have liked. The combo chop suey, which came with beef, chicken, pork, and vegetables, was good and probably our favorite of the three dishes. Overall, I'd say Asia Inn is a good value if you're looking for reliable, inexpensive Chinese food that's a step up from something like Panda Express. The food is more Cantonese-style and Americanized, so if you're specifically looking for Northern or Southern Chinese cuisine, this probably isn't the place. But if you're looking for the kind of Chinese-American food you remember from old-school neighborhood Chinese restaurants, it fits the bill. The restaurant itself has that classic, old-school Chinese restaurant feel. Nothing fancy or trendy, but comfortable and casual. Service was perfect, not too fast or slow. Overall, we thought it was a good value and a solid option for Chinese food in Brighton. We'll probably be back to try some of the other dishes.

It's not catered for big groups and can only fit about 3 people per table comfortably. Once we sat down at a table, I noticed lots of fruit flies on the inside windows. The area didn't seem clean and I was watching my food more than eating it. The food was not up to par to other Chinese places I've been to. There was hardly, if any, flavor to the fried rice. I ordered the green vegetables in garlic sauce and the veggies were good, but didn't taste like garlic at all. Also, the sauce was more like a soup as the to go box was overflowing with it. Another thing I want to note is that it was hard to communicate with the staff. I asked the guy if the green veggie dish came with fried rice and he said no so I ordered an extra fried rice. However, when I got the meal it did come with fried rice and I had way too much food. I also think he charged us extra for an appetizer we didn't order. All in all, I was really disappointed with this restaurant and wish that it lived up to its name.
