I conveniently forgot to eat lunch and my blood sugar levels were tapping me on my shoulder reminding me to get some food. I ordered a hot and sour soup and an egg roll (pork). I was planning to eat at home but then decided to eat there since I was also meeting a friend. Hot and Sour soup came out hot and delicious. Egg rolls came out hot and crunchy. Service also gets a nod. They speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese so 2 out of 3 ain't bad for me. haha. I'd still go back for sure! read more

Food: I had the wonton soup which was really delicious. The broccoli and cabbage were nice and soft. I had the teriyaki beef entree, and the teriyaki sauce and beef and onions were very yummy. I wasn't sure if I enjoyed the egg roll and rice as much, the rice was dry and the egg roll filling was just cabbage I believe. Service: There was only one waiter, but it makes sense because it was a small place, and she was nice and attentive. Atmosphere: Nothing to crazy, a few pretty pictures. The table was a little short, as my knees were almost touching the top. The chairs were veryyyy uncomfortable, unfortunately. Overall: I was between a 3 and a 4 because the soup and beef were super yummy, but accounting for the chairs, rice, and egg roll, I would give it a 3. This is definitely one of our go to spots for Chinese food. We like to actually eat in the restaurant, but they also have a lot of to go orders all of the time. The service is good, and it is a clean restaurant. For appetizers, we really like their pan fried dumplings or crab cheese wontons. The dumplings seem house-made with the thicker dumpling wrapper, juicy pork, and delicious dipping sauce. We've also have tried a few things and they have all been great. Twice cooked pork is quality meat, and it is stir fried with some jalapeños. The salt and pepper chicken is tempura fried and then stir fried with salt , pepper, and some chili peppers. I also recommend trying mu sho pork. They come with some pancakes that you fill the pork in and some sauce. It is very tasty. We obviously like this place a lot and will keep coming back. read more

I've been patronizing this restaurant since the day they opened their doors. Quite a few years. This visit really turned me off! I ordered combo Lo mein, less oil. I also ordered Hong Kong noodles, spicy and add Jalapeños. He asked me how dollars worth of jalapeños do I want? I said WHAT? How much is a dollars worth? He did not know. How ridiculous is that. I have ordered food from here at least once a month. I have supported them through this Pandemic, ordered Take out because indoor dining was not available. I'll start by saying I don't review unless I feel pretty strongly. This might be the worst Asian food I've ever had. The sweet and sour shrimp was over cooked and dry as a bone. The "fried rice" appeared to just be white rice tossed with some soy sauce, no veggies or egg in sight. And crab cheese wontons had zero crab. All this to say at almost $90 it was close to inedible. Lots of better places nearby. read more

Oh goodness where to begin? Thai chicken salad.... No. Just. NO. It does not resemble any Thai salad of any kind. It's iceberg lettuce, some spinach leaves, a few whitish tomatoes, and some weird, mushy "chicken" that was just awful. The worst offense? The dressing! Some kind of tahini type thing. Definitely not spicy, sweet, limey. No crushed peanuts or toasted rice. Just so very bad. Veggie egg rolls were just bleh. The sauce was way too sweet. We also got the sesame tofu, which was fine. I'd go with that, if I ever went back. Which sadly, I will not. There are far too many excellent choices in Broomfield along 120th. Try any one of them instead. read more

This was my first visit to Blue Bay Asian Cafe and it didn't disappoint. I ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles and the Thai Hot and Sour soup. The noodle dish was really tasty and the portion size was pretty big. I think I could eat that dish every day for a month and not get bored with it. The Thai hot and sour soup was also great. It had a nice spicy kick, without being overbearing, and had really nice flavor. I could really taste the different ingredients, which is pretty cool for a soup. I did a pick-up order and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to visiting again and trying more items on the menu. Or, maybe I'll just keep ordering the Singapore Rice Noodles for the next month! read more

I ordered takeout Garlic Triple Delight list under Seafood. To my surprise, I got 4 shrimp and no other seafood. They threw in chicken and beef. Where was the scallops and squid which is customary. My son ordered Chicken Chow Mein w/ crispy noodles. He got a small pouch of crispy noodles and the Chow Mein consisted mostly of fine chopped Napa lettuce and a lot of celery, not much chicken. I have only had the Thai Fried Rice before. which was good. So, thought I would order a regular meal. There was also yelling coming from the kitchen while I waited for my takeout. read more

We ordered take out while staying at my aunts house. We had the Mongolian beef with a side of fried rice, hot & sour soup, spring rolls & shrimp lo mein. The Mongolian beef was good. It had nice crisp veggies, good spices & flavor but the rice was absolutely terrible. It was overcooked, bland & mushy. The hot & sour soup was decent however the spring rolls were very disappointing. They were crisp but the filling lacked flavor. The shrimp lo mein was ok but lacked spice & didn't have many veggies (although I didn't ask for any & I should have). The price was decent but overall it was only ok. We didn't have much experience with the service since we ordered online & just called when we arrived & they brought it out. Overall I would probably order from here again but only because it's one of the only restaurants in this neighborhood. read more

Absolutely no customer service at this place!! We ordered 3 meals and one of them was a sweet & sour pork. it was so overcooked it was inedible. One of our appetizers, the meat was so dry it was also inedible. We reported this to the restaurant and the manager whom is difficult to understand said the owner wouldn't speak to me because he can't speak English. Her customer service was absolutely horrible! They only wanted to replace the meal and do nothing about the appetizer. After much back and forth I was getting more and more frustrated with the lack of concern for the situation so I then asked for a refund so I wasn't bound to going back. They then said to not patronize the establishment and hung up!!! This is not ok!! I will be opening a dispute with my credit card company now. Such a waste of my valuable time!!! This used to be our go to place for fried rice and soup for several years. Unfortunately we stopped coming here because of the poor customer service. A while back, my husband placed an order over the phone for dinner, confirmed it over the phone with the person, and when he went to pick up the food, they said that they didn't have his order. Instead of trying to remedy the situation and make food (on the fly) the young girl working at the counter was super rude and dismissive. Clearly, she wasn't going to do anything so he left empty handed. We've never been back since. read more

We get dinner here a couple times a month and we are always very satisfied with the quality and freshness of everything we order. The vegetables are cut perfectly and are always super fresh. The meat is flavorful and plentiful and the service is fantastic. Every item we have ordered has been extremely well made and seasoned to perfection. You could not find more hardworking and pleasant people to make your dinner anywhere in Thornton!! If you live in the area, just pick your food up, and avoid any headaches with delivery people. I believe most of the negative reviews concerning this restaurant are actually negative experiences with the delivery services, not the restaurant itself. read more

Came here when it was Chan's Inn (the previous place - which didn't impress me) so this was a real leap of faith to try this place again. I ordered the basics to give it a try: pork lo Mein, egg rolls & crab cheese wontons. I always ask for "house mustard" with my to-go orders because I hate any kind of condiment in a package. The order came out quickly, but I was disappointed by my experience here. There were only 2, 2-tops filled in the little place and still, the staff were not very welcoming. I felt like I was intruding on them and that's just not how I want to feel at a small, neighborhood place. Wouldn't they want to welcome the business? The food is very average. The pork in the lo mein was the pre-cooked kind and so it tasted a little old. As a result, I'm tossing the leftovers because I'm not sure how fresh it is. I have now ordered from here many times. It always results in great food. Every time I have ordered from here, the experience has been speedy, delicious, and perfect. I have only ever experienced one complication here and this is how it went: There was a snafu with an order I made. They explained that they were seeing a huge rush of customers. So, things were, understandably, hectic. Even with the high volume of customers, the restaurant staff immediately took the time to address my concern and I had the correction in my hands just minutes later. I do not bring this up to detract from the restaurant. Every restaurant has its trip-ups. The key is how the staff reacts when one of those happens. Blue Bay Asian Cafe did amazingly well in that regard. So, they gain a star. So, even with the 1 in a million chance that there is an issue, you can rest assured that it'll be addressed with great care. Highly recommend to everyone and I will be ordering again. read more
