So we've all been there. You order some takeout, they bring it out and you don't check the bag before you jump in your car and drive off. Every restaurant makes mistakes, and honestly, it's on me for not checking. I wasn't sure which dish that they gave me was GF (my son has celiac). So I called them. The manager gave me his cell phone number and told me to text him a photo of each dish. I did, he confirmed with the kitchen and was able to tell me which one it was. He was right too. Tasted great. BUT... remember that part about me not checking the bag... Yeah they forgot my wontons. Again, it happens, but I should have checked before I left. I thought about blowing it off, but then thought, maybe I'll get a credit for next time. So I texted the manager again. This guy asked for my address, grabbed a fresh batch of wontons, plus an added cheesecake, and jumped in his own car, and drove them to my house. Not door dash, not uber eats, the manager of the restaurant drove to my house to give me my missing wontons. And they were fantastic. Lots of places make mistakes now and then, but I've never seen customer service like that. 5*, and I would give more if I could. read more

We stopped by Pepper Asian Bistro a quick lunch after checking into our hotel walking distance away. While I'm giving this a generous 3 stars, the food was more of a 2.5/5 but the staff were friendly and service was good. The five-spice edamame was alright, but everything was really oily and was clearly frozen. I didn't expect everything to be freshly made, but the overall quality was just subpar. The shumai was nothing like I've ever had before. They were tiny! I also recognize my standard for Chinese food is much higher having grown up in the Bay Area, but nonetheless I've had better. read more

My husband and I really enjoy the location in Denver, so we were excited to see another location opened up in Northglenn, considerably closer to us. We had the Mongolian beef, which was good but pretty standard. It had pockets of extra spicy sections that surprised me once in a while. The fried rice didn't have a ton of extra flavor and was $1 more than steamed, so I would just go with steamed next time. Service was very friendly and efficient. The decor is an interesting mix of upscale Asian, with the occasional weird cartoon touch, like the giant pepper in the lobby and the anime inspired curtain over the kitchen door. I think two different people may be in charge of decorating. It's not bad, just a little disjointed. However, the food and service is good and I will absolutely be back, this is my go to Chinese place and I am excited there's a closer location! read more

YES!!! Pepper has been my favorite Chinese spot since moving to CO but the Denver locations are kind of a pain to get to from where I live. They just opened this location in North Glenn in December and it's every bit as good as their other locations, but bigger and brighter. I ordered takeout and everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. What we ordered: - Sesame Chicken: one of my favorite dishes on the menu. Chicken is perfectly crispy and crave-able. The steamed veggies come on the side and are plain so I wish they either incorporated them into the sauce or the chicken came with more sauce to be able to put on them. - Lo Mein: noodles are slightly thicker, more like an udon but so flavorful and saucy. Really hits the spot. - Pan fried potstickers: perfect chew, great dipping sauce - Fried Rice: one of the more flavorful fried rices I've had. You can just tell by the color it's going to be great. - Scallion pancakes: crispy, crunchy, well-seasoned and delicious - Crispy spring rolls: a classic and super tasty Portions are great. Prices are reasonable. They have a ton of variety and the food is so tasty. The food travels well and remained hot / chicken still crispy. WOW! I am visiting my son, daughter-in-law and newborn grandson in Denver and they recommended Pepper this evening. I ordered the Pad See Lew with shrimp on a whim and the flavor was spectacular!! This is going in the books as one of my most favorite meals ever. My son ordered the Japanese Chicken Fried Rice, my Daughter-in-law ordered the Yushan Chicken and my daughter ordered the Drunken Noodles with chicken. We also had Cheese Wontons as an appetizer. The building that Pepper Asian Bistro is in has housed so many places, and while I miss Los Dos Portillos I'm glad that we now have Pepper in its place. The food here is really good. I had the Pepper Beef with rice, and it was very tasty. The beef was very tender and delicious. My girlfriend had the Orange Chicken and was also very happy with it. The quality of the chicken was top notch, and it was crunchy while maintaining its sauce. Service was great. We were checked on continuously throughout the night, but not bothered. The inside is very clean, and well decorated. I would like to make one recommendation though - add mats in front of the check in stand. It gets quite slippery on a snowy day. Otherwise. Pepper Asian Bistro seems to be all of my Denver friends go-to Chinese takeout spot, so very excited to have one up here! First of all, every staff member was immediately welcoming & the restaurant had a wonderful vibe inside. It's nice, clean and cozy. Although we ordered take out, I'd love to dine in sometime. We got sesame chicken, fried rice, wontons, and coconut shrimp. It traveled home with us perfectly, which is sometimes a concern with take out. It was all super solid!!! Wow! What a great delicious birthday dinner, on a Monday night, I had here with my brother while trying this new place out. The place is nice and nicely decorated. I really love the welcome cat. Cool looking stylish cat. Lol We were greeted and immediately sat down. Our service here this night was fantastic. The wait staff were so friendly. I got the chance to ask questions about the new place. They just recently opened about a month ago! They are a family owned restaurant chain. They are part of the Pepper Asian Bistro restaurants. I haven't been to the one on Colfax nor was I aware of. But, I have been to the location on Lipan in Denver. I do like the restaurant. Anyways, back to my food review here, we started off with some vegetable tempura, chicken skewers, crispy wings, egg drop soup, and wonton soup. The appetizers were delicious. The vegetable tempura was lightly battered and fried to a perfect crisp. So delightful with the sauce. The chicken skewers surprisingly was delicious. Thinly cut and lightly dusted with batter, this chicken was not dry like a lot of other skewers I've had. The chicken skewers had a good light flavor and moist. If you are allergic to peanuts, you could eat the chicken skewers without the peanut sauce. By far my favorite out of the 3 main appetizers were the crispy wings Thai style. Don't let this appetizer's spicy description fool you. It may be marked as spicy, but hardly spicy at all. My brother doesn't eat spicy and he even really liked this appetizer. He ate a lot of this appetizer. The crispy wing batter was delicious, fried nicely, and topped with savory toppings. The wings were hot out from the kitchen, definitely crispy, thoroughly cooked, and tender. Mmmmm, I really enjoyed it. The egg drop soup and wonton soup were good. We ordered the pad see lew with pork and sesame shrimp with choice of fried rice for our dinner entrees. The pork in the pad see lew was tender and almost tasted like chicken. This dish was cooked delightfully and tasted savory, not oily, noodles perfect, with delicious pad see lew flavor. The fried rice that came with the sesame shrimp was good. It's more on the plainer side of fried rice. The sesame shrimp had a good crispy batter and not overly drowned in sweet sauce. We thoroughly enjoyed all of the dishes we tried! Nothing came out under cooked, super oily, salty, too sweet, or soggy. We were impressed with the distinct flavors of each food and how savory everything were. Lastly, they were so sweet and unexpectedly brought out a slice of cheesecake to celebrate my brother's birthday. Please come and support this delicious restaurant! If you are a fan of the other two restaurants, you now have one up north and won't have to travel far. I would love for a good Chinese restaurant to exist up north for the long run. I am a fan of this place. Pssst! Btw, I've learned that this location is currently working on developing freshly made Bao buns here!!! The food is amazing, I haven't sat inside this restaurant but everytime I've done a pick up order they have always looked really clean, staff is super nice!
