We enjoyed their 3 neat platter with bbq pork and crispy pork belly over rice. Their bbq ribs were a bit dry. We demolished the beef chow fun in about five minutes as it was so good. The beef stew could have been more tender and served hotter - I took this home and cooked it some more and it was delish. We took a whole duck to - go and it was one of the juiciest duck we had. This hole in the wall deserves every recognition for not only their food, but the amazing service that these kind folks always delivers. The Fry BBQ Pork Rice Noodle (chow fun) is dangerously good! They not only have the perfect balance of umami flavors from the sauce, but mixed with the bbq flavor is incredible. Most places in Denver, the chow fun is either bland or tastes like soy sauce... Here, the sauce is paired well with the crunch from the bean sprouts, onions, and green onions. And lastly, but most importantly, THE FRESH NOODLES are addicting. Service and staff are great very welcoming they make sure you have what you need if you stay and eat check out after you eat if you eat in. Ambiance welcoming and clean you can choose to sit at tables or the bar stools in front of window on hot days I would choose table, they do also have outdoor seating with umbrellas. The food the first time around was great I got some low main, the second time I don't know what happened I didn't care for it as much. I finally got the try Uncle Henry and it was delicious and this is worth the drive. It feels like a real Cantonese Hong Kong bbq restaurant with the duck displayed. Next time, I'll need to try the 3 meat combo plate. It looks so good. But we ordered the sesame chicken, chowfun, and the salt and pepper chicken wings. The wings were super flavorful. They have a large menu with so many tasty options. My go to favorites are the salt and pepper tofu (comes with white rice), beef chow fun with black bean sauce (if you've never had black bean sauce, that's a shame, and you need to order this dish stat), all things duck and char siu (pork). If you're used to dishes like sweet and sour chicken and fried rice, they have you covered too. We love that Uncle Henry is a local business that is family run. You'll find the owners cooking and answering the phone, which is almost unheard of for most restaurants. The owners are also just all around amazing humans. My wife and I are regulars at Uncle Henry's, and it has become our go-to spot for roast duck, xá xíu, and roast pork. The flavors consistently hit our palate perfectly. For the price (around $100), I was expecting something a bit more elevated than standard Chinese fare. The standout for us was the shrimp dumpling soup. it was enjoyable. The half roasted duck was just okay. Overall, though, the rest of the meal felt pretty average, nothing that really wowed us. I get the impression this might be one of those restaurants with a handful of "must-order" signature dishes, and if you hit those, the experience is probably excellent. Unfortunately, I don't think we found them this time. I'd love to know what is an absolute must try or what this place is known for. Today I ordered Sichuan Shrimp, Curry Seafood, Salt and Pepper Fish, Mayo Shrimp, and donuts. The Sichuan shrimp was really good, but not as spicy as I would have liked, and was missing Sichuan peppercorn to give it that unique flavor, but was still delicious enough not to matter. The Curry Seafood was my favorite of the order, just the right amount of sweet and spicy, very, very delicious. (It does come with your choice of steamed or fried rice; the menu does not mention rice.) I will be ordering this nearly every time I order from here, it is really that good. The Salt and pepper fish was also very, very good. I had wanted to try one of their salt and pepper dishes for some time, and so glad I did, tempura battered fish with a salty, slightly spicy seasoning. The Honey Mayo shrimp was good too, just not my favorite of the 4 entrees I ordered. The donuts were also very good. Now this time I used Doordash to select what I wanted to order, then called the restaurant to place my order. DoorDash said the order was going to cost $113, but when I paid for it in the store instead of using DoorDash, the total was $71. That is a savings of $42 for the exact same order. We were doing a weekend trip in the area awhile back and I had this place bookmarked as I'm always looking for authentic Chinese food and there are even fewer establishments that serve Cantonese fare. This is the best roast duck I've had in quite awhile. The roast pork was also super crispy and tasty. We joined every dish. The only one that was so so was the salt and pepper tofu. I think it could've used a bit more seasoning but also the texture of the tofu inside was a bit different. Felt a bit dry. But everything else was great. The service was good too, it's more order upfront but they were accommodating and helpful. Overall if you are looking for some authentic Chinese bbq meats and Cantonese food, this is the place. Let me tell you, Uncle Henry knows what's up with good Cantonese-style food. I was excited when they told me they could cook up beef chow fun noodles. I love those flat rice noodles. I also couldn't pass on their roasted items, so I picked up some of their sweet and tasty bbq pork. The beef chow fun was everything I expected. Flavorful, beefy, and plentiful with bean sprouts. A perfect portion too! I'm not sure if the beef chow fun is on the latest menu, but my recommendation is to ask for it. Grab that with a side bbq pork and you'll be set. They are a bit more of an authentic / classic Hong Kong food joint with bbq pork, roast duck, etc but all of their dishes are amazing and I have to say that I have a food crush on their shrimp dumpling soup. The flavor of the broth is so delicious and the shrimp dumplings have such an incredible texture and taste.
