I remembered the first time I tried Korean fried chicken and it was at a Bonchon in New York and I have been chasing that flavor and crunch since but the Colorado locations have not lived up to that expectation. This location is pretty decent if you're craving some fried chicken. It's a decent price for the amount of chicken you get. The soy garlic was a little too salty for me. It was good but not great. The fries were pretty well seasoned. The corn was kinda pricey for what it was. Overall, it's a good location and nice to get a meal after watching a film at the Alamo. Service was friendly. I would be back if I'm in the area.

had a mid experience-- I've been to other locations and the food is great but unfortunately wasn't impressed today. Our wings weren't hot, but the fried zucchini was PIPING hot. I didn't love the corn dog either, it's just cheese. Besides the temp of the wings, they were great. Korean fried chicken is the best! Would definitely recommend the yangnyeom sauce, it's by far my favorite. Get it with ranch, the other sauces aren't great (cucumber wasabi is fine but not mind blowing).

I recently found out that Bonchon opened up a new location here in Westminster, and that is both good and bad news foe me. Good news because I now have a location slightly closer to home, and bad news because I'm going to end up going there more often! My first visit to the new location was nice. Friendly and prompt service, and the same high quality of food. I again ordered an order of the Pork Belly Bao Buns and and Korean Fried Chicken. My second visit featured an order of bulgogi. The Pork Belly Bao Buns are great. I've been looking for a place in the Denver area that serves Bao Buns well and I'm very happy to have finally found a go-to place for that craving! I've tried other Korean fried chicken places in the metro area, but none compare to Bonchon's. They are incredibly crispy and juicy, and the sauce they are served in is fantastic! Finally, the bulgogi is a favorite of my mom's. The flavor is rich and every bite somehow tastes better than the last! You cannot go wrong with any of the above 3 options I mentioned! If you need a favorite Korean joint, you have to go to Bonchon!

First time at Bonchon! What a great experience and restaurant for Korean style chicken wings and other Korean/asian dishes. The food was hot (temperature) and the flavor was on point. Anthony was our server and he was very helpful and polite. The inside of the restaurant was clean and welcoming. It was a great touch to have tv's in the bar area to keep us with the news or watch the games if you're there during game days. Highly recommend and we'll be back again to try other dishes.

Their soy garlic wings are so DELICIOUS. Their wings have an airy, crispy battered crust that has such a satisfying crunch under their sticky sauce. I ate here with a friend before catching a movie at the nearby theater. We ordered their sampler plate to get a little bit of everything. Their wings were great and I was pleasantly surprised by the great fry on their fried zucchini and their seasoned French fries. We didn't receive our pickled radish side dish. Which was sad because I was really looking forward to that tart, sweet palette cleanser between all the fried food. We were also missing a side dish of the cheesy corn. All in all, I will be visiting again for that garlic soy flavor alone. Delicious!!!! 4/5 stars, but it could closer be a 5 with some improvements. Parking is a bit sparse at this location. There is some limited street parking, but if you're willing to walk just park near the large lot near the movie theater. It's free as long as you leave before 4 hours. After that there's a fee.

Love bonchon for my Korean fried chicken fix! Just got for takeout but would go back and dine in another time. If first time, I recommend the wings/drumstick combo. I'm a fan of the spicy sauce with the side of pickled daikon radish (slightly sweet and good for neutralizing the spice)

Wanted Korean and this place looked interesting. Bulgogi came out sizzling on a skillet, most impressive. Took some wings to-go; the tempura had a satisfying crunch. With only one host working as the server he was pretty busy but was able to take care of everyone in the dining room. Three or four people came in for takeout while I was there. Modern seating tables and chairs only and three TVs on one with the Disney channel on for the kiddos. People who live in the area are lucky to have a great spot like this I will try to stop by again next time I'm in the area.

Food is pretty good. Not super creative or different from what you'd find at another Korean place. Service is lacking. We waited almost 20 minutes for someone to approach our table. The location seemed understaffed with only two waiters running between tables and pouring drinks.

My second time coming here and I am only rating the food on this occasion. Previously I gave it 4 stars for the chicken katsu. I shared the 8 piece chicken strips and seasoned fries with a friend. We got half soy garlic and half korean bbq. I couldn't tell which was what flavor but they had an excellent crunch. However, they were too salty for my taste. The seasoned fries were covered in Parmesan with some parsley and just average to me and not worth $7. Overall the chicken Katsu is the best thing Ive had here and would come again for that.

It was the closest Korean bqq to where we were staying so we went. They have AYCE for $38 which I thought was pricey compared to LA and they limit you to getting galbi just once. My husband wasn't very hungry so we decided to get 2 orders of galbi instead of AYCE. I was disappointed that it was the LA galbi cut. Usually that is the cut they give you at a Korean nonbbq restaurant. But it was still good. They had a good variety of banchan. The kimchi was really old though and we only got two pieces of cucumber. I asked for more cucumber and they said that because we didnt get AYCE we dont get unlimited sides. I've never heard of having to pay for banchan unless it is a Korean restaurant in the middle of no where. But the server came back and said that this time they could give us a second serving but would charge us after. They dont have any garlic, rice paper wraps, or ssam which was disappointing as well. If you have never had kbbq you will be happy with this place. But being Korean having grown up having the best kbbq in LA, this was just mediocre.

After being sat down and now ordering dinner, this was the worst experience by far since I've been here. The place was empty, probably 2 to 3 tables aside from ourselves. I know from talking to the owner that the fries are $4 and you get a small handful. $16 for a soft shell crab basket: The difference between a basket and a platter is that the basket does not come with fries. These were small, overcooked, super oily crabs that tasted okay when dipped in their remoulade sauce. But nothing a Cajun or an Asian would say was seasoned properly. $50 for 3lbs of crawfish boil: I got the "all in" sauce, but could not taste any garlic, lemon, or Cajun seasoning. This is Prime time for Crawfish supposed to be the largest and best crawfish, harvested right now (but these were probably imported frozen from China; the shells were super soft and clung to the meat like previously frozen, cheap crawfish). There were a couple of medium to large crawfish in the bowl, and the rest were tiny, as small or smaller than my pinky finger. When you cook really small crawfish with medium to large crawfish, the little ones get mushy and are very hard to peel, and fall apart with the shell. $5 for added broccoli, which appeared to be frozen, thawed broccoli that turned to mush when cooked with the crawfish. When I got home, I added MSG and Old Bay seasoning to the bag, so hopefully it will taste better later. (I peeled all the crawfish there to make eating later easier and less messy.) You can buy a pound of frozen crawfish tails from Louisiana for $25 and get a ton more meat, much higher quality meat. $3.50 for a Diet Coke and $1.00 per refill. That is criminal pricing for the item on your menu with the highest margin of profit, and they do not tell you beforehand that refills are extra. And the waitress was so reluctant to get me refills, at one point, I had to walk to the counter to get a refill. They were not super busy, but she (the owner) was the only person working the front of the house. Three not very large sodas for $5.50 total... Circle K sells a 44-ounce soda for $1, tax included, and I am sure they still make a profit. Angel (the owner) was super friendly except for when asking for refills, but took a really long time to get back to me for anything. It was nice that she brought the check to the table and took my payment there instead of at the counter, since I walk with a cane. But no amount of friendliness, cleanliness, or nice decor will overcome bad food, especially at these prices.

Anyway, there was only one other table occupied in the small dining area, but we did see a couple people stop in to pick up to-go orders. The decor is simple, but cute and the ambiance of the place is laid back. It's a perfect spot to grab a quick lunch, and is very easily accessible off of Arapahoe. There's a decent amount of parking out front, but it may get a little crowded if multiple cars are maneuvering to get out of the lot at the same time. I decided on the curry and my friend went with the bulgogi, which seemed like two solid choices for a cool afternoon. It didn't take much time at all for our meals to get to the counter, and the presentation was so nice! There was steam coming from both dishes, and they both looked super tasty. We sat at a table by the window and dug in immediately. The flavors were excellent, and the spice level was perfect; my friend ended up getting his on the spicier side too, and he said it tasted great; not too spicy and all the flavors of the meal came through. For the two of us, lunch was about $35 (with no drinks), which wasn't too bad considering portion sizes. The quality of the food is very good, and the ingredients all looked and tasted very fresh. I'd definitely stop in again sometime soon to check out the other dishes they have available! There is also a list of specialty drinks that would be cool to try out. If you find yourself in the area, I would recommend!

If you set your expectations lower (this is not Korean food) but perhaps inspired by different…read moreAsian cuisines, then perhaps this place is doable. Boulder does not have any authentic Asian restaurants and if you understand that and try the food assuming that it is fusion food ... Not wanting to make the drive to Aurora for Korean food we dined here and all 3 of us were disappointed. The flavor profiles are so off for Korean food and the visuals are disappointing as well.
