Winner winner wonderful dinner! Actually, we were here for lunch, but the lunch menu is the same as the dinner menu. We were warmly cordially greeted as soon as we entered the door. The ambience is very nice. It is open and bright and clean and Asian. They also had a case of desserts (like tiramisu) and ice cream. I've been going to Fairplay for years. I never stopped here because I didn't know what it would be like. Well let me tell you, the service could not have been better. Welcoming, efficient, readily able to make requested adjustments to dishes. There are many items on the menu to choose from. We had tofu and vegetables sesame chicken. Both were just so amazingly delicious. I actually find myself thinking of finding an excuse to go back to FairPlay so I can get such wonderful food again because in my area it's hard to find such good Asian food. I cannot recommend this place enough. It checked all of the boxes and then some. The only downside is there are no lunch specials but I felt like the food was worth every penny we paid. read more

No soft ice cream I felt like things were going to go downhill from there but, fortunately it didn't. Truth be told, we've been coming here since Covid so it's ok just a lot of negativity up front. Simple menu and decent service punctuate the odd cross section of ice cream, hard only and Asian fusion food. We were hungry campers so we took it all in stride...plenty of seating and quick service. We had the edamame, the crab Rangoon which is minus crab but seems to have Rangoon sauce and the fried gyoza which were yummy. There were five of us and their one cook churned it out in rapid fire order. Cashew chicken was 4 stars Thais chicken basil was 4 stars ChicKen pad Thai was 3 stars Onion chicken dish was 5 stars Sweet and Sour chicken was around 4 stars Strawberry ice cream was $4/scoop. I have recently been to Colorado for one week trip, and I stayed in a cabin near shaween. I was searching for a taste, and flavourful food then found this place called ASIAN FUSION. We decided to come into the only Asian Place in town after trying and enjoying other restaurants in town. Our AirBnb host also recommended it as a place to eat so we gave it a shot. The service was good and the staff is friendly. Multiple servers checked on us during our meal and got us what we needed. The atmosphere is low key and has nice small town vibe. We had the sesame chicken and the pineapple fried rice with Shrimp. The chicken had a nice crunchiness to it and the sauce was tasty. There were multiple pieces of overcooked chicken though. They were stringy and difficult to eat. The Pineapple fried rice is not traditional fried rice. It is made with curry and turmeric. The flavor was good and the shrimp cooked perfectly but not what we were expecting. We also had the fried cheese wontons. Essentially crab Rangoon without the crab. They had good flavor and a nice crunchy addition to the meal. The price was more than necessary. $20 for sesame chicken and 21.95 for Pineapple fried rice with shrimp. There is $4 up charge for shrimp and there was 4 added to the plate. If you're in FairPlay, Colorado and craving Asian food this is a good option but not worth a 30-45 minute drive in our opinion. read more

You never know what you're gonna get when you stop at a restaurant on the highway. I saw good reviews here on Yelp, and we are pulling an RV. So, we didn't think driving into Fairplay was a good idea. The parking lot needs to be fixed, especially the entry. But we saw lots of people picking up take out. A good sign. I ordered Green Curry, my husband had Cashew Beef. Both were excellent and fast. And they didn't scrimp on the meats. If you're driving through Fairplay on 285, give Asian Fusion a try! read more

We stopped here based on the great reviews and ample selection of vegetarian items on the menu. Not sure we ate at the same place based on the rave reviews. The food was mediocre at best. Portions were okay but not really large. The main entrees (Mongolian Tofu, Tofu in Garlic Sauce and Lomein with Tofu) were passable but were bland and not very good and had no heat whatsoever even though the menu stated the dish was hot. The sweet and sour dipping sauce was watery and actually tasted like it had ketchup in it. The egg roll was okay but not great and was soggy in areas, the wontons/rangoons that came with the lunch were old, hard, chewy and just plain gross and had obviously been cooked ahead and left to dry out under a heat lamp (it's not difficult or time consuming to cook them fresh to order). Considering you're in the mountains, far away from any major city, this is very solid, fresh Chinese Food. All the standard fare you'd expect from American Chinese. It's not going to knock your socks off but it definitely gets the job done. Very clean as well, which is a big plus. I recommend the lo mein, hot and sour soup, and the Singapore noodles. read more

Pregnancy cravings on a road trip mean taking a chance at a Chinese restaurant in the middle of no where Colorado. I called ahead and they said 10 minutes. They are take out only due to covid. So I called when I arrived. My food was waiting for me when I arrived and it was HOT! The waitress also brought out a pitcher when I asked if they had water to refill my yeti. Well, to say I was beyond impressed with the service and quality of food is an understatement. The Chicken Lo Mein was PACKED with chicken and so juicy! We ended up stranded in Fairplay due to some car trouble (who knew trying to drive a 15+ year old mini Cooper through the Rocky Mountains would be a bad idea ) and stumbled over to this restaurant, located conveniently next to our hotel. We were totally blown away by how good the food was! My husband loved his General Tso's chicken, and I loved my beef pho. It was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and boy, they did NOT skimp on the noodles! We even ordered some lo mein to go, which was also excellent. We did not expect to find such delicious food here, but were pleasantly surprised. The staff was super lovely as well! We watched a number of locals come in and hug the staff, and we could tell how welcome they felt in the space. I can only assume the folks raving about Asian Fusion have either never had really good Asian food, or they are locals who have such a limited range of dining options they simply take what they can get and call it good. Service was fast and friendly, so no problems there. Atmosphere/ambience was a bit lacking, but you see that quite a bit in Asian restaurants. The food was certainly passable, but that's about all I can say for it. Rangoons were stale and literally inedible. Portions at lunch were a bit small for the price. I don't think there are any other Asian restaurants in the nearby area, but if you are really jonesing for some excellent Asian, you may want to hold off until you get to Breckenridge. read more
