I kept seeing good reviews for this place so I thought I would try it again. It wasn't bad. We had the sampler appetizer plate. All of that was good. The service was ok. We had gone before and just didn't like the sauces. The dish I had was drenched in duck sauce. It was ok. The brown rice was a bit over cooked and dry. The cake I got was delicious. Not sure if they make it there. I know we don't like the sesame chicken. We will go again. Will have to find "our" dish. I like that it is open on Sundays. Our fave, Golden Stix is not. read more

This little gem is tucked into a gorgeous mountain side with lovely views from the tables. The service was so pleasant, so kind, so helpful and just very welcoming. We ordered the appetizer platter and it had 2 of each of an array of apps, fried wontons, truly homemade eggrolls, crab Rangoon and chicken kebabs and beef on a stick. With an array of sauces too. We also got wonderfully tasting jasmine tea and she brought two cups for us to both have the teapot. For entrees we shared the phenomenal orange chicken. It came with orange peel cooked into it and a side of peeled fresh orange which was so delicious to cut off and add to a bite. The chicken was such nice quality white meat and very fresh and super crispy. The orange sauce was perfectly sweet and savory and lightly orange-y. I'd definitely get it again. We also had kung pao beef and the beef quality was also very fresh, and tender but perfectly cooked and it was not like 90% of Chinese places that soft but chewy beef so common to find. Because of that I must must must go back and try the orange beef. The sauce flavor was deep, rich and a little spicy, just as hoped. As I was eating I told my partner, I think this is the best American style Chinese food I've ever had in Colorado and that's true. Rivals anything in NY or San Fran. Everything was perfect and every detail was pleasant. 10/10 highly recommended and will be back to bring friends. It's a gorgeous drive to a wonderful little restaurant. read more

I've lived locally for several years. Every 3 or 4 years, I try this place in hopes that the food quality has improved. Nope. Always the same salty brown sauce of death on everything. I've tried different options. Today, it was pan-fried noodles with chicken and steamed dumplings. Evidently, "pan fried" in Conifer is widely known as deep fried to everyone else. I discussed this with the young waitress, who made it clear I was mistaken. I was hoping for a nice yakisoba type of wok fry noodle. That is a pan. The steamed dumplings were cold, accompanied with a dilute soy sauce. Unfortunately, I am well aware of what good Asian food should taste like, having lived in Seattle and San Francisco for many years. This is not that, by a long, long way. The interior has been renovated. Unfortunately, the quality of the food hasn't been. It'll be another 5 years for me.. read more

Since the new ownership the food just isn't the same. The ingredients just don't seem as fresh. The Kung Pao used to have peanuts cooked in with the other ingredients. Now it's like they just throw a handful of peanuts on top. The garlic chicken had a huge amount of green peppers in it. Not like before. The food wasn't horrible. Definitely the best Chinese food I have EVER had! The restaurant is decent sized with comfortable seating. They have both chair and booths. We were able to pick where we wanted to sit and were immediately greeted! We ordered appetizers, which came out immediately and we're delicious. I decided to order the wonton soup and it was the highlight of my meal. The wontons were absolutely delicious and the broth was so tasty. Moved to the pine area a few months ago and decided Chinese food was what we wanted! Our waitress (Britney) was very friendly and appears to love Golden Pines food and the prepared fresh menu! Everything is made fresh daily, even the sauces are made in house! Both our meals were excellent and pricing was very reasonable for being in the mountains. Can't wait for our next meals and visiting the outdoor seating in the summer. read more

Pad Thai and Singapore noodles were deeeelicious. We were very impressed with the dishes, we also got wontons and spicy edamame. Stopped here for dinner on our way to the mountains. This is my friend's favorite Chinese restaurant so I've been excited to try it. We got the wonton soup, general tsos chicken, and chicken lo mien. New in town and my first time here. Definitely will not be my last!! I was dining alone. I ordered the hot and sour soup, egg roll and combination rice noodles. Super fast service! Great Chinese food. We love that they're close and their quality has definitely improved over the years. Chicken Lo mein is so good, crab cheese wontons, and wonton soup are all good. I've tried a few other things as well and have enjoyed them. The service is always great but we normally order take away. Definitely give them a try! read more

Stayed in the Conifer area for 9 days and wanted to look around for places to eat that were a bit different - this fit the bill - one can only eat so many 'mountain' burgers in a row no matter how good they are. Having excellent Chinese cuisine in a roadside mountain location fit the challenge! We had 4 of the lunch specials and they were wonderful. The home made sweet and sour and hot mustard sauces were sooo good- it will be hard to go back to the stuff everyone else uses. The service was great - as others have said many are greeted by name both ways! If you are not looking for it along the towards Denver side of a speedy 285 you would likely miss it - DON'T! read more

Eating my left overs from lunch today and remembered to leave this place a great review.. such an awesome menu, they use white meat chicken, no gmo... Service is fast. The staff is really cool. We talked for a minute and he told me why he decided to open the place. The food is very delicious and the whole family thought so. This restaurant is a hidden gem !! Was craving chinese food and am so glad to have stumbled upon this place. Not only was the food good with so much variety but the customer service here is outstanding as well! Judy was prompt and polite. I overheard her greeting other customers by their name and i can see why they return. :D The food came out in a timely manner and they have a variety of condiments to choose from as well. They also bring out your food if you order togo for safety measures since coronas still around. Too bad coronas still around, dining on the back patio deck would've been amazing with the view and fresh air. I'll post some photos of the food for reference. Went there today to celebrate grandparents day. What a wonderful treat to have finally, a restaurant with fine food and fine service. The lunch menu was robust at a fine price. Appetizers were cooked perfect as were our main entrees. We particularly liked the cheese filled wontons and egg rolls. After half a dozen disappointments with other restaurants in the area. It was very refreshing to have an excellent restaurant to go to again. I highly recommend this restaurant. It was great food with great service at a good price. read more

Wow. Where do I start? Seeing as there is only one other Chinese restaurant in Bailey, options are kind of limited. And while the other place is good, it doesn't even hold a candle to Golden Pine. Seeing as we are in the middle of a quarantine, I am going to just review the food and service. I will update once we can go in and sit down. Service was fantastic. Staff was friendly, lunch was done in about 10 minutes, and they brought it right to our car. No complaints at all. The food is the star here though. We had Chicken Japanese Pan Fried Noodles, Hunan Beef, Cream Cheese Wontons, plain Lo Mein, and Fried Potstickers. The Lo Mein is some of the best I have had. Ever. So good. Hunan Beef is slightly spicy (as it should be) and full of veggies. My wife loved her pan fried noodles and my son devoured that Lo Mein. Overall, this is a fantastic Chinese place that deserves your business. If you're ever in Pine Junction, stop and get some lunch. You'll be glad you did. read more
