Delicious, fast and authentic. I ordered from the Americanized menu, but they also serve authentic Shanghai. Very attentive service. It's easier to park than it looks, there is underground parking available. read more

Yummy Duo - Sweet & Sour Chicken - Chinese Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

Visiting Boulder, I didn't think I'd find a solid Chinese restaurant, but Yummy Duo is indeed yummy. First impressions coming in, fairly busy, but the waitress was able to guide us to a table. Table was a bit dirty, but the waitress eventually came to clean it up. Ordered the Yushan Eggplant and the Chongqing Chicken. Had low expectations coming in, but it was pretty good. Eggplant is what I think of when I want Chinese eggplant. Has the classic umami soy garlic sauce and wasn't hard or tough like I've had in other places in Denver. The Chongqing Chicken was also tasty with a good crunch and spice. I think the only thing with the chicken was the pieces were fairly small and there was too much starch around each piece. Otherwise, solid dish. It's overall a great family-run restaurant. The waitress had a kid there too, and it reminded me of home in a way. Would come back again to try their other dishes, and definitely would get the eggplant again. read more

Yummy Duo - I ate half before I took the picture. Each shrimp was 4 bites! - Chinese Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

They have no information on their website regarding gluten free options. I called to inquire and the lady who answered was very curt and did not seem to understand what I was asking. When I asked if they offer any gluten free items, she said "yes, we can do gluten free with the sauce." I asked what that means, is that for every menu item? Are you familiar with celiac? She assuredly and in a rushed tone said "yes, I have been working in the restaurant industry for 25 years I know what gluten free means" and then said she has a customer and had to go. Being that my partner has celiac, we probably will not visit. read more

Got Moo Shoo pork after my husband spoke to the woman behind the counter about whether they serve real pancakes or tortillas (which I hate). She assured him they were real pancakes which they got from a vendor. He ordered moo shoo pork for me today, knowing I have surgery first thing in the morning. He even ordered extra pancakes for which he was charged $3. As soon as I opened the bag, I knew they were tortillas and they were especially gross. I tried a bite and dumped the whole thing in the garbage. Don't believe what they tell you. The woman lied right to my husband's face. The last time we ordered takeout it wasn't very good. The sesame balls were raw. The coconut shrimp, once shrimp shaped and delicious, are now straight sticks of something mysterious. Gross. Don't think we'll be going back. Too bad. They started out strong... read more

Tried the Singapore noodles, very interesting taste and texture. Staff was nice and attentive but the whole shop was very very loud. read more

Yummy Duo - Singapore noodles - Chinese Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

This might be some of the best Chinese food in Colorado. Everything we had was delicious, and came out very quick. Our server was very kind and attentive. Chongqing chicken is especially hard to find in this area, and it was amazing! The orange beef actually had a distinct citrus flavor unlike most other orange beef. Mapo tofu was also outstanding and hard to find done well in this state. Not pictured was our appetizers, we got the green beans and crab rangoons. The green beans were honestly a highlight, not soggy, very flavorful, and the perfect amount of spice. This will become our new regular spot for Chinese! read more

Randomly stopped in this strip mall and ended up going to the Asian market next door then grabbing a bite to eat at yummy duo. It is indeed yummy! We got the orange chicken, yakisoba, spring rolls, and gyoza to try for our first visit. Reccomend all of these!! Can't wait to come back. Service and atmosphere was great as well. read more

Lovely new addition to the Boulder Chinese food scene. Interior not super fancy but food very fresh and on point. Tried the hunan chicken lunch special. Not too oily and vegetables and meat fresh and yummy. Piping hot spring roll with it. Will return to try some other dishes. read more

Yummy Duo - Human chicken lunch special. Super fresh. - Chinese Near Me - Boulder, Colorado

Great find. Hole in the wall in outdoor mall. Super clean, very friendly service and shockingly fast service (lunch). We had Pad Thai, S&S Chicken and fried rice. Kids loved it too. read more

The owner/front of house just yells at customers and is rude. Memories of the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld come to mind. We've come several times, had great meals, and just walked in and she yells "no tables! What you want?!" Lol um, okay. Bye...? Food is good. Service is humiliating. So, choose your own adventure. Prob a good idea for them to hire another server to help with the work load. read more

I recently discovered this place and it's really good and always super fast. I love the Szechuan pork and eggplant and also mapo tofu. Lo mein is classic, crunchy veggies. read more

We had food delivered. It arrived hot & fresh. The sesame chicken was great - crispy fried and not swimming in sauce. I would definitely order it again. We also had drunken noodles and beef & broccoli, I always want more veg when done right and now I know to get more broccoli & bok choy. A new favorite in town! read more

Hands down one of the better Chinese restaurants in Boulder! Pricing was average for the Boulder area and I was very impressed with quality and portion size. Definitely enough for two meals. I got the Duo's salt & pepper chicken and Chongqing chicken. They both tasted amazing and very delicious the only complaint I would have was that chongqing chicken was lacking in flavor. The service was incredible as well, fast and smooth pickup. And a very decent sitting area to eat but seemed more of a takeout spot. read more

Exceeded all expectations! The restaurant was clean and very welcoming and the host was amazing. Food was delicious and came out very fast, decent portions for the price. We were very impressed by the speed and charisma of the host considering she was one of only two employees operating the entire business at that time! We will certainly be back. read more

Cute place. Not sure if I would call it the best, but good enough. I ordered the Pepper Steak lunch which was drowning in sauce, lots of veggies but very little beef (yes, I know it was the lunch menu). Everything was a bit oversalted but overall it was ok. The server was polite and the food came up quickly so that was the reason I gave this three stars instead of 2. read more

The directions on google map sent me across the street but this place is on the Western side of 28th street between the Asian Grocery store and Boulder Pho in that small shopping center near Valmont. I called in a pick up order tonight which the lady answering the phone did not submit so when we went to pick up the order after she told me 10 minutes she said that she didn't have the order. She is the only one working there, I recognized her voice and she said she would have to put a new order in which cost us an additional 20 min wait. Outside of this issue, the sesame chicken we got to go was outstanding. Well flavored, not too salty and the stir fried veggies were a little on the bland side but we doctored it up at the house with a little Banchan sauce drizzle. We are from Honolulu where Asian food is king and this is the only good Chinese restaurant in the area. We will be back but don't trust calling in orders as the lady answering the phone has a short memory. lol. Hope this place stays in business and continues to be careful on the quality of the oil and freshness and the quality of the ingredients. Love that they season carefully and don't overcook the veggies. A+ except for take out ordering process. read more

I ordered the Sichuan spicy boiled fish, orange chicken and fried green beans. I wish the fish broth was spicer but all three dishes were so delicious! Probably one of the most authentic Chinese spots in Boulder. Our server was so kind and welcoming and the place was clean too! 10/10 would recommend and will be back again to try other dishes :) read more

Much, much better (American-style) take-out Chinese food than I have gotten for quite awhile in Boulder (admittedly, 5 stars is grading on a curve here...) Ordered Basil Chicken, General Tso, Sichuan Beef, Buddha's feast, all tasted fresh, not goopy or soggy, good flavor. [Although I should note I ordered hot for the first three, and given what I got I am glad I didn't order any medium.] Definitely will go back! read more
