    Orange Beef Dinner
    Olivia H.

This might be some of the best Chinese food in Colorado. Everything we had was delicious, and came out very quick. Our server was very kind and attentive. Chongqing chicken is especially hard to find in this area, and it was amazing! The orange beef actually had a distinct citrus flavor unlike most other orange beef. Mapo tofu was also outstanding and hard to find done well in this state. Not pictured was our appetizers, we got the green beans and crab rangoons. The green beans were honestly a highlight, not soggy, very flavorful, and the perfect amount of spice. This will become our new regular spot for Chinese!

Human chicken lunch special. Super fresh.

Lovely new addition to the Boulder Chinese food scene. Interior not super fancy but food very fresh and on point. Tried the hunan chicken lunch special. Not too oily and vegetables and meat fresh and yummy. Piping hot spring roll with it. Will return to try some other dishes.

    Fried Green Beans.

I ordered the Sichuan spicy boiled fish, orange chicken and fried green beans. I wish the fish broth was spicer but all three dishes were so delicious! Probably one of the most authentic Chinese spots in Boulder. Our server was so kind and welcoming and the place was clean too! 10/10 would recommend and will be back again to try other dishes :)

It is so hard to find good Chinese food in Boulder, I normally have to drive down to Denver to my local spots. The price and portion for the food is amazing, and service was fast! I will definitely be coming back again and it's only a 10mim drive!

We tried it this evening and liked it a lot. I see why it is so popular. But do know they do not have identical menu items to the Denver locations. This fact did cause me to be disappointed when one of the items arrived at the table. My husband loved it though, as he is a big fan of cream cheese which I am not. I only eat items like NY cheesecake and on bagels with lox. What I wanted to try was the roasted duck dumpling but got the fried wonton with cream cheese and duck. It had a good sauce as well as a slice of mango and a pinch of pea shoots on the top. I do love baby pea shoots and though not what I envisioned, I did eat my portion. The shrimp spring rolls were some of the best I have had in a while. I had a hot oolong tea and my husband had a Thai tea. We both liked our drinks which were exactly as we expected. We also had a "small" plate of bbq chicken which was hardly a small thing. A large tasty section of chicken on a bed of lettuce with a side of shredded carrot and cabbage with a very nice sauce. It was perfect for my husband but as I am not allowed chicken skin, it was harder to eat but tasty. Such a bigger serving than we expected, we brought enough home for lunch tomorrow. The staff were friendly, helpful yet not intrusive. The setting was perfect for me and for all as the variety of styles allow for accommodating any needs. Pricing was average for Boulder and more than worth it. We will be back and try more items. Often have lunch with a friend who drives and it will be perfect for that this summer.

Aloy Thai Cuisine is a great spot in Boulder for flavorful, satisfying Thai food. We arrived during happy hour so ordered the pork egg rolls (3 piece) thin flaky pastry stuffed with ground pork, cabbage, carrots, and woonsen noodle, deep fried with sweet and sour sauce and crab wontons (4 piece) cream cheese and crab meat stuffed in wonton shell served with sweet and sour sauce. The pork egg rolls were crispy on the outside with a generous, tasty filling, perfectly fried and not greasy. The crab wontons were a highlight, light, crunchy, and packed with creamy filling, paired nicely with a sweet dipping sauce. I ordered the BBQ chicken entree that is marinated and grilled and served with spicy tamarind or sweet and sour sauce. It came with so many fresh veggies and I loved the tamarind sauce so much I had to order extra. The BBQ chicken was tender and well-seasoned with a slightly smoky, savory-sweet taste that really stood out. Service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was casual and comfortable, great for a relaxed meal without feeling rushed. If you're in Boulder and craving Thai food done right, Aloy Thai Cuisine is definitely worth checking out. It was a very reasonable price point for the quantity of food.

The chicken was probably cooked enough, but barely and to the point where it gave me slight pause. I got spicy level 4, and it had a pretty good amount of heat that met my expectations of a 4 out of 5 heat level. The ratio of noodle to chicken to garnishes is good. The food court that it's in doesn't feel clean, but I don't think that's the fault of Thai Avenue. I used to come here 2-3 times a week for a couple years over 10 years ago when I was a college student, and back then it was easily 5 stars. I heard a lot of people say that the place changed and it's not what it used to be, so I went out of my way to go back and try them again. Sadly it's true that they arent what they used to be. Seems to be different cooks. I wonder where the original cooks went because I want to eat at wherever that is.

I was expecting a typical food hall and instead it felt much more elevated and thoughtfully designed than that. The way the coffee shop and bar sort of flow together makes the whole space feel really social without being chaotic, and the rooftop patio honestly makes it feel bigger than you'd expect from the outside. At the time, it felt surprisingly modern for Boulder in a really good way. It's also one of the best places to take visitors because everyone can find something they actually want and the quality across the different vendors is consistently solid. Huge bonus that there's a parking garage directly across the street too because parking in Boulder can otherwise become its own adventure.

Multiple staff asked us if we had any questions and welcomed us on arrive. The staff even helped bring our food upstairs for us. The tekkedon bowl (essentially a poke bowl with soy sauce and sirracha on the side) and chicken shawarma were both delicious. We also enjoyed the sampling plate of falafel, stuffed dates (soaked in honey with pistachio), hummus, pitta and veggies. There's a great variety of food options (though the Mexican was closed when we were there). They do have kids options at each spot (grilled cheese, pasta with butter or tomato sauce and fried rice) though they aren't listed on a menu. You can also open a tab and order at different spots rather than paying separately at each location. Also, on the weekends, all of the nearby parking garages are free!
