This is the best road trip stop in the mountains! The burger was an easy 10/10, per my friend "one of the best burgers I've ever had." The bun was delicious! I got the train wreck fries! Right on the West side of 285 in Jefferson, there is this row of cool places to eat and shop for gifts. We stopped for coffee at this little place called Kenosha Coffee and Cones, and the nice lady said the burgers next door were not only good, but made with meat from a local ranch. I'm glad I tried the. burgers, and the fries! Delicious! This was a burger chain places WISH they could serve! The fries were perfectly cooked, and seasoned nicely. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have lot's of tables to the side of the place, and if its windy, the area in the front is sheltered by the building.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lot's of parking out back. For folks with gluten/wheat issues, they have GF free buns, which is amazing for a roadside attraction in a town that you'd miss if you blink. I stopped here after a horseback trail ride nearby. I ordered the double cheeseburger on gluten-free bun and tater tots. The tater tots were extra crispy which I live! The burger was juicy and delicious. The bun was great and not a hockey puck like some GF bread. Good hot dog but you'll pay .50 cents for onions....Plus they put a "little" ketchup/mustard on for you. Why don't they do what every other hot dog place in the world does..... let people put their own condiments on! The first time I visited this place was in June 2022. The owner was serving customers. She was very friendly and the food was great. I visited again 8/17/24. This time I was served by some guy with a big beard. He was very impatient, snippy, and unpleasant. I don't know why he chooses to work here if he hates people and his job so much. I found it somewhat ridiculous that ketchup wasn't provided for free. If you want ketchup, you have to pay $.50 for a little condiment cup partially filled with it. You'll need two or three for an order of fries. I do hope the owners get this place back on track before it's too late. Start by firing the bearded guy. read more

The owner is extremely rude, always looking for a fight with customers; I witnessed two in a 30-minute span. The prices are outrageous ($14) for a tiny charred burger. And there is no service whatsoever--the dude, who claims to be "the owner" with filthy clothes and nosering, simply throws a brown paper bag at the door outside, and it's up to you to guess when it's ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables are outside, around the corner, and only one is in the shade.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]No one cleans the tables - they are dirty with birds' poop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I wish we had driven another ten miles and had not eaten in this sty. Absolutely the worst burger iv ever attempted to eat. I'm pretty sure it was made of squirrel or rat and when I asked the owner for something different she exploded and started to comment on my clothes and the vehicle I was driving.
