Such a pleasant find! It's a nice stop between Denver and Breckenridge. Friendly staff, dog friendly area. Amazing tasting ice creams and good coffee (the overall vibe may have also helped). We did not try the food. It is right beside a historic non dilapidated building of yesteryears train depot (I think no public access for now). Con: the restrooms can definitely be updated.

This is the best road trip stop in the mountains! The burger was an easy 10/10, per my friend "one of the best burgers I've ever had." The bun was delicious! I got the train wreck fries! Ding ding They ring a bell when you order these and now I understand why! They are quite the undertaking but so delicious! The place is so adorable, we spotted it from the road! The staff was amazing and so kind! Can't recommend this place enough!

The view is amazing out here, but even better, is the plate they give you... Some of THE BEST bites I've had of a burger, the service was nice and quick. I would totally recommend going here while passing by, or going an hour out if your way to gwthere is definitely worth your time.

I've been wanting to stop here forever and timing was always off. Well we stopped today and our burgers were delicious and so were the fries. Friendly and quick service! I highly recommend you stop and get a burger

I stopped here after a horseback trail ride nearby. I ordered the double cheeseburger on gluten-free bun and tater tots. The tater tots were extra crispy which I live! The burger was juicy and delicious. The bun was great and not a hockey puck like some GF bread. A little pricey, but it was very good and I would stop again if I found myself in the area again.

Both times I ordered their Original Chicken sandwich. Each time we visited, it was busy. Limited parking, a line, sparse seating. The staff was friendly and attentive, personable and calm under pressure. The orders kept coming and they kept steady hands on the fryers pumping out consistently good food. This chicken sandwich was the best I've had. Large, all white meat, quality chicken. It was perfectly fried with a thinner breading. It didn't over power the meat but complemented it. The only topping this sandwich needs is pickles. They were thicker than normal, fresh, crunchy and juicy. The honey butter and fresh toasted bun rounded it all out. The side of fries were good too, crunchy and flavorful. If you're near Fairplay and looking for a good meal, go here. I'd go back.

If you like a juicy burger with incredible taste, this is the place to go. Their truffle fries were just as good. I will have to go back and try the Salmon and their signature cocktails. The only negative, and this is not the restaurant's fault, is that the parking is horrible. Luckily, we went on a weekday in the winter, so we were able to park about a block away. There are a few paid parking spots, but it will cost about $10 for 2 hours if you use the QR code on your phone. If you can get to the restaurant, it's well worth it. The staff is incredible; they will make your dining experience fun.

The food was spectacular! The brussel sprouts were the best I've ever had... finely chopped, crispy, with beautiful flavor. We had the elk burger (dirty Frenchman) and OMG!! So, so delicious! Upgrade to the sweet potato tater tots (or parm truffle fries... you can't go wrong with either). Their blackberry blitz looked amazing (my friend got it and then just added soda for refills). I've heard their salads are also phenomenal. We will be back!

Walking in on a cold February day, the mood and ambiance were warm and inviting. The downstairs bar was lively, and the wood ceiling and decor definitely gave off a classic aged lodge feel. We were seated upstairs per our Yelp reservations. A collection of canteens hung on the wall, which sparked a fun conversation and history lesson for my twins. Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. I ordered my standard Ranch Water, though it unfortunately didn't come in their traditional canteen cup. Overall, it's a great spot. I look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Colorado.
