BOOM! the vibe here is so chill and Colorado. Highly recommend this local spot. Chess game going on at the bar. Staff works like perfectly greased cogs in a wheel. Ordered the Cuban with fries and the buffalo wrap with onion rings Cuban could use a bit more sauce, fries were curly like the pigs tail. Wrap was delicious and rings were perfect! Bathrooms clean. Decor is Colorado history without overly dramatic! Keystone is a great place to ski. Haywood's is the only place to eat breakfast or lunch! read more

Food was excellent. We stayed in Keystone for the week and we came here 3 times. All breakfast for the last day which we had lunch. Didn't matter. Food tocked actress the board. Services was excellent and just a different type of personal. Biscuits and Gravy were the best we've had. Comfortable environment that just felt like home for tourists as well as regular. Great food and friendly service! Highly recommend. Biscuits and gravy and the corned beef hash were splendid.

This cafe had such a great breakfast selection! We walked in and were seated right away. Service was fast. I enjoyed my Bloody Mary while my boyfriend loved the house coffee. My rocky man omlet(added mushrooms and spinach) was delightful! I didn't want to share. Home fries were good too! I love the crunchy pieces! They had a breakfast entree called the dog bowl that literally was served in a dog bowl! I didn't try it because we were full but loved the idea! How original! My boyfriend loved his breakfast sandwich. We left the cafe full and satisfied! read more

This is the perfect place to grab a quick breakfast before starting your day on the slopes. Located walkable from the parking lot and lifts for Keystone. (They do have parking right in front of the restaurant, you can't leave your car there allll day, just loop around the corner to the free mountain parking when you're done. I set up the countertop and was quickly handed a menu and asked if I wanted something to drink. It looked at the venue and was very tempted to order one of their mimosa variations, but opted to stick to water this time. Ordered classic breakfast with grits and sausage and a biscuit as my options. my food came out pretty quick and I could tell they were making everything to order. Eggs and sausage were solid, the grits were decent and came with cheese on top. For the speed and price you can't beat a good breakfast deal like this. This is a, solid classic breakfast that's fast so you get her first tracks on the mountain. I would definitely come back here to eat next time I come out to ski Keystone. Highly recommend! read more

We came in around 8:30 on a Sunday morning and waited about 15 minutes--not bad for a busy weekend! Once we were seated, waters hit the table immediately and our server was incredibly friendly and attentive the whole time. I had the classic 2-egg breakfast--simple, delicious, and exactly what I wanted. My husband ordered the country fried steak and really enjoyed it. But the star of the show? His bacon Bloody Mary! It literally left him speechless. The bacon was perfectly crispy and stayed crispy the entire drink. 10/10! Great service, great food, and a relaxed atmosphere--we'll definitely be back! read more

Great food, hearty portions, super waiter and service. We will be back! This was a great find.

It's a cozy environment, get there early because there aren't a lot of tables, but super clean. The Swiss baked eggs are fantastic. I know you might say garlic cream cheese, poached eggs, bacon, Swiss cheese: how do these go together? Well they do and Haywood does an awesome job. The service was excellent. The server proactively asked whether I wanted a roadie cup for a little more coffee, which is really just above beyond well done. read more

Customer service was great. Food was good. Portions? Huuuuuuge. Omg. Entreès can be shared, easily by two or more people.I ordered the Homemade Corn Beef Hash with 2 eggs over easy and whole wheat toast. Because I was feel risky, I also ordered a side of the green chili and a side of just the gravy from biscuits of gravy. The gravy and chili are absolutely deeelish! Order any dish in which these come with, you won't be disappointed. Ambiance is like you're entering a family cabin in the woods. Such a cool place that serves huge portions of great, tasting food. read more

This place is great for breakfast or lunch. We were recently in Keystone and this place had the right food options. They pride themselves on their poached eggs and they did make them perfect. Their breakfast potatoes looked plain but they were absolutely perfect. My husband was very happy with their over easy eggs and he said the bacon was perfect. We would eat there again but they don't really have anything g for vegans. read more

the food was great but the service was not good the employees ignored us and when my sister was waiting for the bathroom the waiter with glasses and blondish hair started hounding her for a bigger tip when I was about to leave one and when I tried to speak to a manager about how un that made her feel no one acknowledged us and was ignored very disappointing we will not be back! read more

Comfort food for either curing a night of mountain living fun, or an early morning of climbing a 13er. We cracked up when we saw the same waiter waiting on us as our server last night at the nearby Mexican restaurant. Guess staff work multiple jobs here! The Turkey bacon melt with Curly fries, Swiss baked bread with a cup of grits, and the Cobb salad all screamed comfort food. They tasted just so. These three dishes pretty much represented breakfast, brunch, and lunch (am aware of the redudancy, lol, but just to emphasize.) read more

Was attending an event in the Arapahoe Basin area and had to stay in a Keystone for a night - so we decided to search up some of the food options in the Keystone area to try, and Haywood Cafe popped up as a highly rated location! We went on a holiday Monday morning around 12PM and had no wait to get seated. I am a fan of the atmosphere and general vibe of Haywood! The interior is decorated with skiing pictures and equipment, giving off a homely and welcoming feeling - I could definitely see myself enjoying a nice and hearty meal here after a long day on the slopes! There was also outdoor dining, which we picked since it was a nice and sunny day, and you do get a nice calming breeze and the beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains to enjoy with your meal if you do decide to dine outside. I ordered a variety of options, which I'll review down below: Smoked Cheddar and Jalapeno Elk Sausage ($5.50): This item piqued my interest, I personally haven't had Elk sausage before so I wanted to try it! There is a good spiciness to the sausages from the jalapeno, and they are scrumptious - texture-wise you get a good snap and chew, and it's sort of like a quick resounding heat that dissipates after a quick while. I'm a fan of this sausage! French Toast ($4.5 each): Pretty standard slices of French toast - they are slightly crispy with a soft interior. They are dusted with a little bit of powdered sugar and you do get butter and syrup on the side. Country Fried Steak & Eggs ($16): Yum! I loved this dish - if you are in the market for a nice and hearty meal, this has got you covered. With this entree you get the option of grits, toast, or homefries - I went the grits option. The grits side is more on the cheesy grits side, very comforting and rich in flavor, sort of like a nice hug. I got my eggs sunny side, and they were cooked nicely with a good runny yolk. The chicken steak was crispy and soaked up the delicious gravy on the outside, and soft and moist on the inside. I would definitely order this again if I'm in the mood for some delicious country fried steak! In the end, I paid about $25 for everything you see here - which I think is a solid amount of food given the price and the location. I'm not sure the next time I would be back in Keystone, but if I am, I would love to pay Haywood Cafe another visit to try the other options. read more

OMG, go here for breakfast and you will not be disappointed. Order the Hash Benedict and Bacon Bloody Mary. First off the Hash Benedict is served on an English muffin with corned beef, hash and Hollandaise that will have your taste buds singing hallelujah. The Bacon Bloody pairs quite well with the Hash Benedict. Be aware the portions are good sized and I barely had room for the Cheesy grits that accompanied my benedict. Wow, just wow! read more

The ratings are completely on point for this delicious brunch spot! Came by at 11 o'clock on a Sunday. Had to wait for about 25 minutes and it was totally worth it. The winning item on the list for everybody in our party was yet cheesy grits! Absolutely amazing! I had the veggie Benedict, which was delicious with the perfect level of textures throughout the item! Who items in the party had the Swiss toast melt and we're in love! Every single plate at the table was cleared even the final guest who had an omelette with green chili on it. I had a Malibu cocktail and it was delicious as well as the coffee! Amazing food. Loved the chicken fried steak and gravy and the hash. Great local spot.

First visit to Haywood Cafe after driving by for years during ski season was a very busy Sunday morning in July (a good sign). Very friendly hostess (possibly owner/family) offered us the only table left inside which was tiny, but everyone was so cheery it didn't matter. Service was prompt, and I got a "good choice" for my order: the "staff favorite" corned beef hash. Coffee was very good for "diner" coffee (we are coffee snobs, wife brought her own), but the star of the show was the hash. Over 60 years, I've literally had CBH from Maine to California and this makes the top 5, easily! Can't wait til winter to NOT drive by! PS- Heinz ketchup for those who know/care! read more

The food was fine and the server was nice but the restaurant closes at 2 pm and when they start putting chairs on the table while the 5 remaining tables are eating and it is exactly 1:30 is very off putting while you are eating. The bottoms of the chairs that are on a dirty floor are now on top of the tables with 30 mini of time before you close. I've worked in restaurants my whole life. Have a little class and at least wait until you're actually closed before you start putting chairs on tables. read more

Service was great - food was great. Asked for a couple of substitutions on my breakfast and happened with ease. Very laid back and casual

The Haywood Cafe is a local staple, staffed by great people serving up some tasty food. I visited recently during a conference, most of Keystone was dead since it wasn't ski season but the Haywood Cafe was happening every day. Lots of locals and laid-back folks. I went for greasy spoon options both days I visited, and yes both days. I went two days in a row. I had the country-fried steak and eggs and could hardly finish it. The help was huge and it was delicious. I also had the "porker "omelet and would recommend them both. The Haywood Cafe is defiantly the place to be for breakfast in Keystone. read more

How have I not reviewed this place?!? I love everything from the crab cake or pulled pork Benny to the Cuban and Buffalo chicken wrap sandwiches. Everything is always fresh and delicious. The staff are friendly and happy with their jobs, evidenced in their laid back approach even when the place packs out (which is every weekend from 8am-2pm). They will do Togo so call ahead and pick up while you wait to enter River Run parking. That's peak Summit County moves. read more

Great friendly staff. I was able to order a great Cobb Salad and was quickly in and out.

We tried to come here once before and was too busy. We'll still the same. Way busy. Had to wait about 25 minutes to get seated. Had to wait probably 30 minutes for the food. And to be honest as always it was worth the wait. Good food, good service. The waiter was most like the manager and he did a great job. He was super good with the customers and especially to a small group with a small one that was screaming. All of our food was really good and hit the spot. Really nice bacon Bloody Mary, good simple sandwich with a side of B&G. The crab cakes Benny cooked perfectly and great flavor. Chicken fried steak on the spot. Definitely a place for real deal breakfast after festival in town read more
