This seems like they're a great local hangout as there were a lot of locals that came in. I can tell because the waitresses knew their names. The place itself has a lot of seating and has a good comforting vibe. But the food was just OK. I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich and it was good but nothing out of the ordinary. I would've expected more for paying $17. My friend ordered the Louisiana burger and she said it was kind of dry. Avoid Crossroads at all costs. The service here is absolutely deplorable. The servers were completely checked out and too busy taking shots behind the bar to bother clearing our dirty dishes or even print out our check.Worse than the lazy service is the horrifying lack of sanitation. The restaurant is massively infested with flies. On my way to the bathroom, I looked into the kitchen and saw flies literally sitting all over raw meat that was left completely unattended on the counter. Knowing that flies are crawling over the food before it is even cooked is disgusting and a major health hazard.The entire place is filthy, and their prices are absolutely outrageous--especially considering you are paying premium prices to share your meal with a swarm of bugs. This place has a mean southern fried chicken sandwich. I crave it all the time. I've had the Texas fries, chicken wings and chicken bowl. Probably the best dish's there. Service is always slow. But they are nice. The pizzas never look good to me, the cheese steak sandwich wasn't good, the salads are small considering price. But hey, I love going here. The food here is definitely much higher quality than one might expect in a pub. We had a very larger group & the food & service was excellent. Everything was fresh & large portions. I had a massive salad that included brisket of all things. It was served with a jalapeno ranch dressing, bacon, corn, tomatoes, boiled egg.... idk what all there was, but it was outstanding! This place is terrific. I've never had a bad meal there and I've had lots of meals there. This week I decided to try their wings (to go). I ordered 8 wings and there were 11 in the carton, no extra charge. It felt like they were taking good care of me. The wings were smoked, which I wasn't expecting and they were delicious. I asked for blue cheese dressing and they gave me ranch but that's easily forgiven. Terrific place whose food has earned my loyalty. read more

When I first moved here, the chicken strips were TO DIE FOR. Barely a coating. Hand dipped, amazing. Bought my 77 yo dad here from Oregon a he proclaimed them the best chicken strips in the West. I was with my family and it was pretty obvious that the bartender had issues with a paying customer and handled it completely disrespectful to the other customers so loud the words she said and then 86 her???? The customer looked like she was waiting for a pizza got it paid and then starting leaving when all this went down. Calling someone a piece of shit loudly everyone heard and laughed. Amazing brisket!!! This place has mixed reviews but I would suggested coming here and making your own option. The brisket was the best I've ever had and the bbq sauce was amazing. I tried here for the first time and can say I would definitely go back! The ambiance is friendly and fun. They have indoor and outdoor seating which the outdoor is dog friendly! We sat outside and attended to very well by our waitress. She was handling a lot of tables and she still managed to keep checking in with us which props to the customer service! For drinks, they have mostly beer options with some wine and cider options. (And of course nonalcoholic beverages) Starting with appetizers we got the chips and queso which was good! Then we ordered the wings with sweet chili and buffalo as sauces and a Ruben. Ruben was delicious and everything you'd want out of a Ruben. We got 1lb wings and got the sauces mixed which was a delicious combination. However the wings were not consistent. Some were extremely dry and some were done well. I wish they mixed some flats instead of all drums in there as well. The fries were quite greasy, if you squeeze the fry it was dripping with grease so I was not a fan of those unfortunately. He made a mistake with the order that the manager/owner was quick to fix. The staff here is genuine, friendly, and welcoming. I greatly appreciate that they owned the mistake on the order and fixed it quickly. As for the food, 1$ wings ! Grab a half or a dozen to start your meal. Slightly smoked, crispy, and with a generous coating of tasty sauce. I went hard after the sweet chili coming out sticky and satisfied. For a follow up we tried the Cuban sandwich. Circumstances dictated a gluten free bread for the sandwich. They made a good effort, but, it just fell short without the hard bread of a traditional Cubano. I won't blame the owner or cook for gluten free bread.... it has its limitations. I do recommend the house cut fries. Full of flavor, tasty and perfect with some home made ranch. The decor is unique, rustic, and almost rusty. That character can be forced if it's dropped in the middle of a large city. It plays perfectly here as a roadside pit stop. Prices are reasonable for what is offered in exchange. Definitely a good spot to stop and fill up on your way back to the city after a day in the mountains. read more

Stopped here because there was a 3.5 mile backup on 285 and It was dinner time. it appears other people had the same idea because the place was PACKED!. This place was very much a greasy spoon locals bar and grill type place. Floors were dirty, table was wiped down but you could tell that it was never cleaned very well. there appeared to be only 2 waitresses and one of the kitchen staff was filling in because of the extra business. restroom were surprisingly clean. My hat is off to the wait staff for doing their best to deal with the crowds. Wife ordered a Reuben and like it very much. I ordered the Ribeye (medium rare) with asparagus, and mashed potatoes with gravy. I got: cold asparagus, slightly warm ribeye (medium), cold potatoes, and hot gravy. I have been coming to Crossroads for years and I've always felt it's just ok. Food and service are serviceable but nothing special. Maybe a bit overpriced. What it has going for it is location; I regularly hike/camp in the buffalo creek area and in terms of bar/restaurants you basically have Crossroads and Zoka's. Great dive bar with great food and great service! I went here with a group of 5 on a Thursday evening and we sat right away! They have some really good specialty cocktails on their menu and Thursday night is ladies night so you get BOGO drinks. Our waitress was great - very friendly and helped us with the menu. We ordered wings to start and we each got 2-4 wings. I appreciated our waitress's patience since we ordered individually! The wings were BOMB! I wish I had gotten just an order of them as my main meal because they were delicious. I got the medium buffalo and the garlic parm. They are good sized and smoked, so they are nice and crispy. I love smoked wings! The buffalo sauce was very tasty and the garlic parm was really good. I've never had a garlic parm wing before like this and it was really good. A little greasy, but who gets wings and doesn't expect some grease?! The garlic parm was a crowd-pleaser for our group of gals that didn't love too much heat. For dinner, I got the Louisiana hot burger (without the habanero). It was really good too! It wasn't too hot at all. In fact, I probably could have gotten it with the habanero glaze and still would have been able to eat it without any trouble. The other meal at the table that looked good was the tuscan chicken pizza (I think it was called that) on the specialty menu. The dough was super fluffy and they weren't sparse with the fixings. It looked really good! I don't live in this area, but I'd like to make an excuse to get back with my sister because we are always looking for the best wing spots. Kinda---(I think-- long blonde hair nose ring and worked the patio Father's Day Sunday) was the best server I've had here. I like to stop in after hiking with my dog since the patio is dog friendly. I came in alone (with my dog) on fathers day day Sunday and she had a full patio of tables. She gave me the same service as if I was a table of four. It was nice to be treated well even as a solo diner in a sea full of families. Love the food here but the service is what I'll come back for-- thanks so much for making me feel welcome! Although there was only one person working as bartender and server for the entire place, and they were fairly busy, she did a phenomenal job! Such a positive and professional woman!!
