I've indulged in the pleasures of the Cala Pub numerous times over the past several years and figured it is time for me to leave a review. This review is essentially a conglomeration of all of the different times that I've been there over the past several years and the most recent visit was no different than the others . How's that for consistency ! Anyway, we stopped in last Tuesday for a friend's birthday celebration. It's a cool little neighborhood type Pub that is typically loaded with locals. The beer selection is good and munchie and food selection is pretty good too. You're not going to sit down here for a 4 hour or five course dinner by any means but the munchies are on par for a decent little watering hole. I hope it never changes! read more

What has happened to the Cala Pub.. just had the "fish and chips"... To be honest it was awful... Plus, it was $26 bucks.. that much for what obviously is a frozen product ..one of the pieces was inedible ... Not even Fresh House cut thick fries (how difficult could that be) AND 10 bucks for a Guinness..seriously Total of $36.00 four fish and chips and 1 beer! Yickes The restaurant also is looking really tired and tattered... visible tears in some of seating.. the outside area is extremely unkept with old broken furniture.. this place used to be really cool. We chose this place due to the high(er) reviews on Yelp, unfortunately it fell flat; the food was 3/5, service was at 2.5-3/5, and the ambiance was dark (as a pub normally is) and rather unkempt. If you're looking for quality food, a slower pace and actual table service, look elsewhere. read more

We go to Cala Pub frequently. Their hamburgers are outstanding!!!! We always go there when we first arrive in town.

Very quaint Irish pub! We stopped in here on our way to Breckinridge and enjoyed a drink and a few bites. I had the side salad and it was very good while my husband chose the French fries with gravy and cheese also very tasty! They have indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely worth a visit. read more

The food options compared to the city are limited so we were happily surprised to find good fish n chips near Keystone. I recommend the tots instead of the fries and the coleslaw was good too. Service was great and fast. The parking in this plaza is limited so you may need to wait or find parking outside. read more

Awesome food- service is so-so We came in the middle of the day when hardly anyone was there and they want you to order at the bar. We did so- our food was brought- but after that it was hard to get our "server's" attention. Great place to hang out though! You get quite an Irish pub feel! read more

We visited in June 2025. Sat directly at the very small bar and were ignored for 10mins while the bartender and the owner(maybe?) continued a conversation and looked at their phones. Ordered some food to go (and a beer for my wife while waiting) but the bartender left our order on the bar while she talked to some people that walked in (not customers as we come to find out). Another 10mins later she finally remembers she has to put the order in and does it (remember this is a 4-5 seat bar so we could see her screen etc). The food comes out swiftly and is brought out by a lovely older gentleman (he gets Cala the 2nd star). We still had not paid for the food so we waited patiently to pay while the bartender sat at the end opposite of us talking to her friends. We had been totally patient until that point but I considered "takeout & dash" as she was completely ignoring us and my numerous "excuse me's" to get her attention. But my wife is my better half to keep us there and I finally had to give a HEY to nearly startle her into coming and getting our credit card. Just a silly interaction that will prevent repeat business. Wish it had been a better experience as the place is cute. read more

Nice Irish pub that was quite lively on a late Tue afternoon. The Cala burger had some pink inside which is not my preferred temperature nor was I asked about temperature when ordering (and I didn't think to say anything assuming it would be cooked to no pink temp). It was a good size, well seasoned with a great bun and included a full slice of red onion along with lettuce and tomato (cheese optional for additional charge). The Shepherd's Pie left something to be desired on all fronts. Not especially tasty - not bad but nothing great either. Somewhat small portion size as well. The veggies on the side were overcooked asparagus that was served somewhat warm. You order at the bar and the service was good overall. read more

This was one of the only places that let people dine in during covid! The food was great!! We got the fish tacos, deviled eggs, fish n chips, and a root beer float. All the portions were fairly sized. Very tasty and no complaints on the food! The fish tacos were probably the best I've ever had. However, they did seem to be short staffed and the service could have been better but I would still recommend! Great spot! Unique and different from other pubs around the county. It's definitely a more local atmosphere with great fish and chips! I will say it is a little more pricey than your average pub in the city. Bar staff was fast and attentive with how busy it was. Great deck seating and enjoyable atmosphere. Traveling to the gun range in Keystone a couple weeks ago and found this awesome little pub with great outdoor seating so I stopped and had a chicken burger that was so good! The Food was so good that I actually drove 30 minutes out of my way yesterday to go get their fish and chips! Best I've ever had, and I spent a lot of time in the U.K...this is at least as good as that if not better. Great beer and liquor selection, and great dining place with nice atmosphere...can't wait for them to fully open, but anytime I am around Dillon lake, I will go out of my way to eat here - it's that good! Highly recommended...talked to some other people on the deck that eat their every month and said the Shepards pie was to die for - can't wait to try it... read more

The Brewery down the road was full as usual and we were hungry, so headed up the road a bit and found Cala. It's somewhat dark and crowded (not a bad sign), but that adds to the Irishness! Shepherd's pie and similar Celtic-style comfort food hits the spot on a cold night, as did the music and lively chatter around the bar. We did manage to find a seat (helpful when with kids; families were clearly welcome here). The food wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was solid enough and we will probably come back on other trips if we can't get into our top choice of places. read more

I've been here before and had great service and food. This time the service really sucked. One of the service staff was more interested is doing shots with her friends than taking orders from the three different groups that were waiting. After every order taken she would always return to do another shot with her friends and ignore customers. This was early in evening. Around 6 pm, so I wonder how she's going to be later tonight. The only other staff person, a blonde woman did her best to pick up the slack but it's kind of d of hard to do that when your co-worker is more interested in drinking with her friends than working. read more
