I honestly don't like leaving bad reviews, but this experience was terrible. I ordered mac and cheese with chili and pork, and what came out looked like plain microwaveable Kraft mac and cheese. There was no chili, no pork, nothing -- just basic mac and cheese that tasted like it came straight out of a box. My friend ordered a burger that was supposed to come with lettuce, blue cheese, and the works. Instead, it arrived with just chicken and bread. That was it. No toppings at all. The water we were given was also incredibly dirty -- it literally looked grey. Service somehow managed to be both overwhelming and nonexistent. While we were eating, the waiter came back to the table every couple of seconds so we couldn't even have a conversation. But when we were actually ready for the check, suddenly there was no waiter anywhere and we fwaited about 15 minutes. On top of that, every request got mixed up. I asked for blue cheese and after about 10 minutes the waiter came back with ranch. Then I asked for lemon vinaigrette (which the meal was supposed to come with) and instead got honey mustard. After explaining again, she came back with... even more honey mustard. We also paid $10 for fries with green chili and received about 15 fries. And one more thing when paying they did NOT bring my card back for about 20 minutes. It was also extremely dark where we were sitting all of the surrounding lights were off but everywhere else in the resteraunt was perfectly fine Overall the food quality, service, and attention to orders were extremely disappointing. The chili I got was so greasy, it was disgusting. I got the chicken tortilla soup instead and was also not impressed. Crazy wait on a weekend night, I get it, and maybe I should have ordered something different but it was cold out. First of all, the views are stunning and we got to watch the sunset which was beautiful. The service was sub par. Our server probably came to our table three times during the entire time. Our food was delivered by someone else and he didn't come back to ever check on us until we needed the check. Now for the food. I used to come here and order the chicken fried chicken for a steady 10 years. It would be a part of my ski trip every time. I tried to order this item but they had this "famous bowl" instead. This was really bad. The chicken was just two very small chicken tenders over a very small bed of mashed potatoes, smothered in the most salty gravy I have ever had. I asked for the gravy on the side knowing it might be salty, it did not come on the side. This was bad. It was hard to eat and the salt was overwhelming. The portion size was one for a kids menu and I am just so disappointed in the entire experience with the item. The ale soup was okay and could have actually used a little more seasoning. For 11$, it comes in the tiniest bowl... The martini was delicious and I would definitely get again. That item is an embarrassment. At first, I thought they had split it up for us... two chicken tenders for each person. But once I realized that was the amount of food you got for 18$.... I was very upset. A kids meal usually comes with at least three chicken tenders. I felt ripped off and with the gravy being dumped all over I just had a terrible time with this item. Please change it back. PLEASE. Dillion Dam Brewery has been going on for a long time. I have ate here a lot and it's a very solid option, we had a couple starters that I felt were a little over priced but still got the job done. We were able to grab a reservation for a Friday night during Christmas weekend which means it was definitely packed. I got myself the rodeo burger and it had amazing flavor the fries were seasoned to perfection. The restaurant itself was very inviting and makes you feel like you're in a true ski town and it is awesome. If we're willing to spend a little extra money I would definitely recommend coming to the Dam Brewery. read more

First time here in several years. We split a flight and then ended up with a pint each of one of the seasonals. My lamb burger was pretty good. My wife liked her short rib sandwich, but it only ended up being half a sandwich. A bit pricey at $24 for half a sandwich. Neither of us were wowed by the fries. So glad we came across this restaurant. I came here with my husband and son. I got the short ribs, my husband got the chicken fried chicken, and my son got the bbq pork sammy. We all loved our food. Perhaps one of the half dozen wait staff playing grab-ass outside the kitchen could help? #3. I asked the hostess/skater-boy to see a manager. No one appeared, Ever. I waited an hour. Now we know the problem. #4. During my last visit I asked for wings Well Done. I did not ask this time and the same wings were loaded with fatty skin. Gross. How's about you guys ask customers how they'd like their wings? It's called customer service. For $21.50 it's the least you could do! #5. I was surrounded by Other Diners with Issues. Guy to my right was charged double for happy hour hummus. Guy to my left waited 30 minutes for his order, and it was wrong. What is going on? Do you care? #6. They were out of Here's Your Damn IPA so I got the Red Spruce IPA which might be my new favorite, It was an easy drink and had really good flavor. I tried the nachos at Dillon Dam Brewery recently. They were good, but not great. They might have been great if the kitchen had gotten the cheese melted, but sprinkled shredded cheese does not make nachos IMO. My friend liked the mac and cheese but not the French onion soup. Stop by for happy hours before 6pm. Got seated for 7 right away. Ben is the server who very knowledgeable and hospitable to get water and drink order quickly. Our happy hour ( half price appetizers and $1 off beers) also came out fast. Sausages and sauerkraut are really good. Nacho plate and Brussels sprouts are yummy and filling. Interior is roomy and well decorated. There are also upstairs seating. Restroom is clean. We tried Hefeweizen and English stout and Dam IPA. They are all good. read more

Honestly... I would skip this place for lunch... the fish and chips were a rip off. The fish was so obviously frozen... like.... Dry and gritty, definitely not fresh fish... the batter was very tasty which, at first, kinda tricked you into thinking it tasted good. But once you got to the meat.... You could just tell the fish was not quality.... my Mac and cheese was like white velveeta... it wasn't made with grated or shredded cheeses... it was more like a white sauce.... I couldn't even eat a fourth of what was on my plate. It was supposed to have peppers in it, but the peppers seemed like they were just diced green peppers from a can....we did have the shishito pepper appetizer which was really good. On a frigid evening in Keystone, we drove to Dillon to check out Dillon Dam Brewery for dinner. It's a popular spot and we found the last parking spot available in their lot. After parking, I was impressed with how the brewery looked from the outside. It looked just as great indoors. After being seated, I started with a flight. It's my go-to at breweries as it allows you to try a good variety of beers. I enjoyed them all and my flight included quite a few different types of beers. I also had their chicken fried chicken which comes with mashed potatoes, green beans, and caramelized onions. The mashed potatoes and green beans are standard with this dish but I've never seen it served with onions. I'm not a fan of onions generally so it took a little work to get them out of the way. The dish itself was solid but the portion size was a little smaller than I expected. Service was standard. read more

This is a large establishment so we elected to come since we had 7 in our party. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. They set up a stand to bring the food out on and made sure our table was aware to ensure no one got up and ran into it. Also they allowed us to get separate checks. The food is standard bar food. The onion soup was the best item I had. I also split the bison burger and fries. The fries were too salty for me and the burger was fine. There were two odd moments - the first was our soup came out before anyone's beverages did. The restaurant was not busy so I am not sure what the issue was at the bar. Also, most of us got a burger which came with fries and the burger did t come with ketchup. The waiter asked if we wanted any and then brought it out in dishes. Unfortunately, I can't write a Dam good review. Look at my photo for my last review in 2014. Things have certainly changed since eating here starting in 2007. We've noticed things have gone downhill over the last 4 years. The service is not as "fun" as it used to be. The bartenders were happy to pour beer, explain the different brews, shake cocktails, etc. And weirdly, a clue we should have gotten upon walking in, the upstairs was closed off. And the wait was only 15 minutes, at 7:50 pm. I know it's strange to complain about a short wait, but it's an interesting observation to see. Ordering a beer from a bartender is usually a great experience. A "Hey! Welcome. What can I get for you?" would be nice. Vs placing my order across the bar (seemed like his style). Dropped off beer. No "enjoy," "here ya go," etc. The only words spoken were when he took my card and asked "open or closed." Definitely closed. Past bartenders have usually been so great. $1 tip delivered (I usually do $3 per drink). Dinner was mid. Wife and her mom ordered side salads, which came out as "full" salads. Asked if they could come out first. "Yes." But that was not true. Came with dinner. And at twice the price. Which is a consideration when 6 people are mandated the 20% gratuity based on meal cost. I feel like the 20% should have been earned. What incentive to go above and beyond is there when the tip is already a done deal? The French onion soup used to come in a good-sized bowl. For $11.50, it should be more than a cup that looks about 10 oz. The "microwaved" pretzel definitely shrank over the years. Quality and size sure changed. Five people got maybe two bites each, tasted similar to the store-bought microwave pretzels. However, the dipping sauces were great! Rodeo Burger used to be great. Slathered in BBQ sauce. Solid bacon strips. Today, about a teaspoon of BBQ sauce, and a thin bacon strip. We did get more bbq sauce after we were almost done. The manager who took our name for the table and the hostess were both nice. The server had a good personality to start, but it declined as closing time neared (we arrived at 7:55 and were sat at 8:10. They close at 9). This was the first time we didn't order a bottle of red wine with our dinner. We just didn't feel it was that fun of an experience. Also, I had planned to return tomorrow to buy beer for July 4th. Now I have to find someplace else. I'm bummed b/c this place was such a "must go" for us. But with such reduced portions and price increases, along with "fair" service, it might be a while until we return. I sincerely hope they can return to their former glory. Solid spot for groups and after a long day on the slopes. This brewery has your classic pub favorites and a bunch of award winning in house brews. I got the bison burger and it was good, not great but paired nicely with the shoe string fries. Service was efficient and friendly. They are accommodating to large parties. I wouldn't go out of my way for this place for dinner. There are TVs everywhere and would recommend if there's a game on and you want to grab beers/ drinks with a group.
