    Mulled Wine with a View

husband and I stopped into Robbie's Tavern for a quick drink and to take in the view--and wow, the view is absolutely unbeatable. It's the perfect spot to relax, soak up the scenery, and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. I ordered the Mulled Cranberry Lemon Wine and it was delicious--warm, flavorful, and absolutely perfect for a chilly but sunny day. My husband had the GC8 Bloody, which wasn't quite his favorite, but overall the experience was still great thanks to the setting alone. If you're in Breckenridge and looking for an incredible view with a cozy vibe, Robbie's Tavern is definitely worth stopping by.

Because it was ski season while we were there and we weren't skiing, we were unable to go up on the lift to the top. Ben's Mom was hoping we could do that because this was Guy's favorite place to ski so she wanted to take us up there in Guy's memory. So instead she decided that we needed to get some drinks and enjoy the beautiful weather. Robbie's Tavern is right there at the Grand Colorado and is actually owned by a local vs some big outside company so we decided to go there. We would see they had outdoor seating as well but with the line they had just to get a seat we told them we would take whatever becomes available first (I did whisper to the hostess that we really wanted outside if possible though). After about 30-40 minutes of waiting in the lobby area we were called up and luckily we got outdoor seating at a community table that had a fire pit running down it to keep people warm. Even better since I get cold really quick. They have a great selection of beers available, so everyone got something for themselves and we ordered some mozzarella sticks. Luckily I wasn't hungry cause they were only 6 sticks and Laura and Ben ate them as fast as can be. LOL. I so enjoyed our time there, sitting outside, watching the skiers coming down the slopes with the bright sun above our heads. It was interesting to see just how many people have to be helped down by the Ski Patrol team. For being a non-skier, I could still find ways to enjoy myself if every resort had places like Robbie's.

What a great experience of sitting outside with a fireplace on the counter top over looking the ski lifts and people coming down the mountain. My wife and I road the gondola to the top and found this magical place at the top with good food and great service.

Always a good time with great food & drinks. Lots of seasonal offerings. The Grand Colorado Peak 8 gives free drink tokens for each adult. Super convenient situated at the bottom of Peak 8.

This place is an awesome spot to pop in, warm up, and have a bite to eat / have a beer!! This is our go-to spot when we're skiiign at breck! If it's a sunny day and the porch is open, I highly recommend grabbing a beer and watching people come down the hill. I got the Bloody Mary with a side car and it was pretty good! I would've liked a bit spicier but it was still enjoyable. we also got the cheesesteak and it was massive and delicious. Lots of flavor with peppers and onions!

Nice place for a beer or two at the base of Peak 8. We enjoyed some beers, some yummy pretzel sticks, and played some cards on a nice day. There are worse ways to pass a Sunday afternoon.

Me and some of my coworkers grabbed lunch at Robbie's Tavern after taking the gondola up in Breckenridge, and we were lucky enough to get one of the fireplace tables that look straight out over the slopes. The four of us sat there with the fire running through the center of the stone table, watching skiers come down while it was actively snowing, and it really did feel like the best seat in the house. It had to have been in the 20s or 30s, but we were completely warm and comfortable the entire time, which almost felt unreal given how wintery it was outside. I ordered the "Peppermint Patty" drink, and it was exactly what I wanted on a cold ski day, warm peppermint and chocolate. I also got the chili mac and cheese, which was very creamy and way better than what I usually expect from ski hill food. We shared the Bavarian Pretzel Sticks, and those were perfect to snack on while we sat by the fire. The food came out surprisingly fast, the staff was attentive without rushing us, and we were able to sit and relax without feeling pushed out. Between the fireplace seating, the slope views, and the quality of everything we ordered, this is absolutely a place I'd go back to every time I'm in Breck.

Pretty neat place to eat or drink at the base of Peak 8. My friend and I sat on the patio and had cocktails while sharing a pizza. Both were delicious and they have serve yourself water, which is nice. The view was fun to people watch but it was a hot day, and we were seated at the fireplace which the counter is black, so we had to avoid touching it to get burned. Other than that, it was a nice experience. Be prepared for a wait as there are very few places to eat in the area and everyone is hungry from all the adventures! Note: they will not seat incomplete parties, even if they are in the restroom.

Katie and Ryan took good care of us tonight at the boot We were greeted and promptly seated. Katie told us a few of her favorites on the menu they loaded fries with green chili was flavorful and delicious, The gluten-free pizza had nice mushrooms and pepperoni and with a crisp crust. You salad that they brought us with the balsamic vinaigrette on the side was also delicious cucumbers tomatoes sliced fresh Parmesan hit the spot. The Philly cheese steak was delicious as well and came with abundant french fries. Had the grannies upside down apple pie it was delicious. We ordered too much food for two people. We also got two pizzas to go which were very reasonably priced pepperoni and jalapeno. The atmosphere is nice can watch sports and the trees are all around looking out the window. Nice surprise for an onsite restaurant. Not sure why all of the less than five star reviews but this place was great good food and reasonably priced. Super grateful to have good food ask for Katie she's super sweet. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

    Yup, 30 minute wait.

Pros - Right by the end if you run on Peak 8. Excellent green chili cheese fries. Cons - Hostesses try to be jerks on purpose for no reason. There are tons of tables, not one or two, multiple open tables inside and out. But they will still put you on a waitlist. If you inquire why this is happening they will make you feel like the idiot. Good luck getting your waitress to come back too. I will never return. Everyone around Breck is SO nice and accommodating. Never again.

"Let's go on the gondola, let's go on the gondola, let's go on the gondola", the Grandkids clambered. "OK, we're at the top of the gondola, what now?", I responded. A look around and there's like two things to do up here if you are not skiing. Go in the ski shop that really has mostly rental equipment, but nothing to buy, or go get a beer at Robbie's. "let's go get a beer", I holler. Robbie's service team got us 10 seated in two adjacent tables, but had reasonable limitations on how we could divide the bill. "That table and this table separately, or everything all together. I sat at he drinkers table. Our tab was much higher. Then, just as are ready to head out, everyone orders drinks for the road. "Wow!, order two more for us here". "I guess we can walk around with these". Robbie's had a tasty green pork chili that was especially liked by our table as they continually dipped chunks of the optional tasty bread bowl. A lot of people everywhere walking through, around and inside of this very busy stop. A must try. Dicks

Walking in on a cold February day, the mood and ambiance were warm and inviting. The downstairs bar was lively, and the wood ceiling and decor definitely gave off a classic aged lodge feel. Since they're part of the CamelBak and Stanley cup generation, they hadn't seen anything like them before. My son was impressed by the size of the kids' burger, and the fries were great. The rest of us had the NY Strip. I'd say it was good, but not great--though I did appreciate the blackened seasoning and the chimichurri. The grilled asparagus, however, was simply fantastic. The showstopper was the upside-down apple pie with what seemed to be homemade vanilla ice cream. Both were generous portions and kindly comped by our server for my birthday. I ordered my standard Ranch Water, though it unfortunately didn't come in their traditional canteen cup. Overall, it's a great spot. I look forward to visiting again on our next trip to Colorado.

Claire was our favorite team member but everyone on the team does a great job at inviting you to feel welcome. They're amazing. My favorite beer is their coconut porter. It has a hint of fresh coconut and is a lighter side of porter, not too syrupy. It's well balanced and might I dare say--it's perfect. That said, I haven't had a beer here that I didn't like. They have a great layout at the original location, though you wouldn't think it being in a commercial warehouse. There's a big garage door that opens in the back to outdoor seating. It's a more local vibe at the original location than the more touristy accessible location on Main Street. The original location has a super cozy vibe, lots of board games (or bring your own). It's a great place to hangout for a few hours. They also have a shuttle that takes patrons back to Main Street. Just call or ask the crew for more details. Again, favorite brewery in Breck. The food is slightly above average; the real attraction is the great selection of beers on tap. We can say that the Brewer's Mac n Cheese, Rainbow Trout, and Wild Game Meatloaf are worth ordering - well crafted, generous portions, and good tucker after a day of skiing. The burgers are standard pub fare (it's too bad they dropped the elk burger which was a definite winner!) BB has a phenomenal assemblage of beers which cater to a variety of palates. Our go-to's are the Avalanche Amber and Juice Drop Hazy but you really can't go wrong with their rotation. We do want to credit the staff. They really do make the BB experience what it is - they maintain great attitudes and deliver exceptional service while taking care of a full house of thirsty apres skiers. BB has a well-worn atmosphere and could probably use a refresh but is otherwise an inviting environment because of the care and consideration of the servers and bartenders. They have the silver brewery tanks where they brew their beer on site behind the bar area. They had a bunch of unique brews but I am not a beer person. I found a seat at the bar and the bartender came to take my order. I mentioned that I was on a time crunch with having to catch the bus in approximately 35 minutes and just wanted to check to see if the kitchen could accommodate my schedule. I was a bit taken aback when he responded that he couldn't guarantee anything and the electricity could go out.... So I was going to pass on ordering, but then he said we better get my order in then. So I put in an order for fish and chips. Then he said the kitchen should not have a problem accommodating that time window. He brought me some water and I enjoyed watching the football game while I waited for my to-go order. The food was ready in plenty of time for me to make it to the bus stop. It was packed nicely and came in a paper bag. I was able to enjoy it at the bus stop. Fish and Chips with Avalanche Ale battered white fish, fries, tartar. The fish has a nice batter but was a bit bland and could have used more salt or other seasoning. It really needed the tartar sauce to complete the flavor profile. The fries were light and crispy.
