    Great Bloody Maria!!
    Margie F.

What a wonderful experience! We were in town for the memorial service of a dear friend and wanted to grab a quick bite, so we decided to visit one of our old favorites in Breckenridge. We're so glad we did. Aaron -- I'm not sure if he is the manager or owner -- was absolutely wonderful. He seated us, introduced himself, and chatted with us for a bit as he took us to our table. When he realized that I have some hearing difficulties, he immediately went out of his way to find us a quieter table where I would be more comfortable. That small gesture meant so much to me. Later, Aaron came back to check on us and ended up pulling up a chair and visiting with us for a while. We talked about old-time Breckenridge, skiing, snowboarding, and how much the town has changed over the years. It was such a wonderful conversation. His son was our waiter (who was adorable!), and his nephew, who was so sweet, also waited on us. There was just such a warm, family feeling to the whole experience. It is so unique these days to have someone take the time to genuinely visit with you and make you feel so welcome and comfortable. On what was an emotional trip for us, that kindness made our afternoon a little brighter. And the food? Did I mention the pimento cheese? It was honestly the BEST pimento cheese I have ever had! And the Bloody Maria wasn't too shabby either! Great atmosphere, great food, and genuinely friendly people. This is exactly why it has always been one of our favorites. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Breckenridge!

I live in Denver, came up to Breck for work- After a long day of sitting in meetings I decided to take myself out on the town. I checked out a few places online, but went out with no plan of where I wanted to eat. "Rooftop Patio", selling point. The ambiance was inviting with country music setting the tone. The hostess (I didn't catch her name) was welcoming and kind. Taj (sp?) was courteous, friendly, and jovial. I ordered the pork chop, delicious and HUUuGE (not complaining). The pork was cooked well, not dry (I was surprised it wasn't stuffed for the cut), the veggies were sweet and complimentary to the pork. I could've used more heat/spice but I Like hot and sweet. It also came with very tasty veggies; the kale chip looked nice but tasted not as pretty. I found a piece of onion "paper" skin, not edible but didn't deter me from eating the rest. If you're in Breck, lookin' for good food in a great vibe- Horseshoe is it.

Stopped by Horseshoe and had such a great experience! The bartender was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and a fantastic conversationalist, making the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. I ordered the bacon breakfast tacos, and they were absolutely delicious. The fresh, homemade salsa really took them to the next level and added the perfect amount of flavor. You can tell they use quality, fresh ingredients. If you're looking for a place with great food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere, I highly recommend checking out Horseshoe. I'll definitely be back!

Talking about good ol fashioned Midwest hospitality! We stopped in for breakfast and were blown away with the quality service and friendliness! Spencer made great menu recommendations and drinks. This will quickly become one of our staples. Great drinks. Bring your horse on in and get Horseshoed!

Horseshoe was an excellent stop for an early lunch in Breckenridge. A laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and good food. Their rooftop seating was popular on this overcast mild day. My buddies and I were looking for some food while checking out Breckenridge. Breck for short, I have found out. We walked in to a pretty empty place only to find that everyone was on the rooftop patio. Being from Florida, rooftop seating would be empty. Breck offers perfect outdoor seating climates. Our original table was the only large group seating available and it was in the sun. We opted to split our group and sit in a more shaded area. Our server was around quick and got things going for us. She was friendly and detail orientated. Ensuring our orders were complete and precise. Most everyone got waters, a few Red Bulls and a soda were also ordered. We got right to the food. Everything looked good. The Google results from this restaurant say it's a Mexican place. While they do have a large tequila menu and tacos, it doesn't have the feel or vibes of a Mexican place. It feels like a hip, American fare place. A smash burger, biscuits and gravy, a fresh salad with burrata and watermelon and a fried chicken sandwich. Not very Mexican if you ask me. That being said, all the food was good. My smash burger was tasty and filling. A little on the messy side but rather traditional. Nothing made me say this was the best burger I've ever had but it fit the bill. It did boast a smoked brisket beef patty, a signature sauce and house made pickles. All good and tasty but not mind blowing. The tots on the side were good as well. The crunchiest I've ever had. Everyone enjoyed their food and was full. We left with the thought that it was a good stop for lunch. If you're in the area and looking for a solid place for some food, check out Horseshoe.

Came into The Horseshoe and it delivered. Started with the chips and queso (dangerously easy to crush), then had the carne asada, it was cooked perfectly. The flavor was amazing but still solid. Also grabbed the Oaxacan Old Fashioned, which was smoky, balanced, and honestly one of the better cocktails I've had in Breckenridge. The vibes were great, super relaxed but lively, and the staff was genuinely friendly and welcoming without being overbearing. Solid food, strong drinks, and a place that actually feels fun to be in. Definitely recommend and would 100% come back. I have a high bar for 5 . Really this is closer to 4.5 than 4.

The food looks great overall. Since I don't eat beef or pork, I ordered the chicken sandwich. The drinks, however, were absolutely delicious. We also tried a few appetizers--the Brussels sprouts and the egg salad dip with chips--which were tasty. The service was excellent: attentive, friendly, and full of great recommendations. The ambiance really stood out--the "rooftop" is actually indoors, making it cozy and inviting. That said, if you don't eat beef or pork, you may want to consider another spot. The chicken options are very limited and not especially strong.

I was going to be in Breckenridge for a few hours during lunch time, and wanted to get a bite to eat. I googled lunch restaurants in Breckenridge and this was the first one to pop up. I checked out the menu and everything looked good and the restaurant looked big and emphasized not having to wait long for a table basically so we decided to check it out. Upon entering, we were greeted and told we couldn't be sat till our entire table was there. Someone was paying for parking right out front but they still wouldn't seat us. No worries, they came in 2 minutes later and sat us immediately to a table on the first floor in the back corner which was nice and cozy. I will say, they put way too many pillows in the booth to the point I had to stack them up and put them on chairs to make room. Also. The tables on the first floor are so close together that you are squished and touching the persons chair at the table behind you. We had to squeeze into the booth side cause we couldn't fit someone in the chair on the other side cause the persons chair from the other table was too close. Our server was extremely friendly and helped us with everything. The food and drinks came out super quick too. The food was pretty average, but it did the job. One thing to note is that they don't really have lunch here. They have breakfast till 4 and then dinner after that. The only non-breakfast foods were sandwich type things such as burgers and chicken sandwiches. We would have chosen another restaurant if we would have known they didn't have regular food during the day also. When I asked the hostess if they had a non breakfast menu she kind of gave me an attitude about it.

I arrived bleeding and with a wounded hand that got caught in my dogs mouth while playing fetch. I need a napkin and a quick, very potent Long Island. Charming Kylie soon arrived with both. Her excellent nursing/waiting soon had me settled into a table on the upper deck, listening to nice music, and eating fantastic empanadas. The presentation was so beautifully done, I congratulated management! Thank you Queena de la Cocina!

Horseshoe Breckenridge is a must-visit spot for amazing food and atmosphere! We had an incredible experience at Horseshoe Breckenridge. From start to finish, everything about our visit was fantastic. The food was truly exceptional--scratch-made dishes with bold, delicious flavors that catered to a variety of tastes. If you're in Breckenridge and looking for a place that serves high-quality food in a great setting, The tacos were a huge hit, with the carne asada skirt steak and shrimp tacos stealing the show. They were bursting with bold, fresh flavors. My food was great, but I got a bite from each from friends. Service was excellent! Horseshoe Breck is a must-visit. We will be back!

I won't divulge how to find this place because that was half the battle and made it worth the wait. We ultimately were gathered in the hotel lobby to take us back to the speakeasy - the welcome drink was a super nice touch! The speakeasy itself is fairly tiny - seats about 30? It felt super swanky and loved all the wood - felt like we were somewhere back in the 30s. The cocktail connoisseur behind the bar, Danny, makes you a custom made drink based your preferences. They can of course make standard drinks but what fun is that? In their menu, they have a list of the most popular liquors (gin, vodka, whiskey, rum, etc.) and then flavors that typically pair with those liquors. For example, I wanted some sort of whiskey sour and asked to make it with peach or ginger flavors. My husband asked for a gin drink with crème de violet and got a delicious play on an Aviation cocktail with aloe and rosemary simple syrup. Overall, a little bit of a hiccup to find it and get in, but the experience was awesome! Was a little scared when there weren't any prices on the menu, but for the overall experience of getting a custom crafted cocktail, it felt worth it. Follow the canary! I am 56 and my friend is 73. We have been friends for 26 years and we took a girls getaway to Breckenridge. I can't begin to say enough positive things about your establishment! The martinis were absolutely scrumptious. Christian is a dedicated young man, and as I told him he is like "an old soul in a young body". I mean that with the highest regard! He is completely squared away, he was personable, kind, and friendly while still tending to all of the guests that were there. One thing that impressed me the most is how he kept his bar so organized.....he has an incredible attention to detail... before he served any drink, he put a straw in it, pulled it out with his finger held over the top of the straw and sampled a taste of the drink, and then would throw the straw away. I've only seen this done at a few establishments, which I can tell you Cecilia is at the top of the list and the epitome of a wonderful experience! The only thing I would ask in return is that the owner of Cecilia's please recognize Christian for all of his efforts. Too often in life, people are very quick to complain about a negative experience and as a result, no one will take the time to reward positive experiences. I'm hoping as the owner of this establishment will recieve this message and anything else that you can do as an incentive for your employees will trickle down to Christian God Bless, Vicky & Anna

The martini was tasty but half of it was missing like where's the rest of my drink ‍. Second I had to ask for plates, not sure how you forget but remembered to give them to the table next to me ‍. At this point I'm over it and prefer my experience at raticato. Next strike, you ask us to order everything and you'll course it out but instead you interrupt us mid chew and ask to clear the table for our meals, absolutely unacceptable. How do you rush your customers. I get it's 8pm but you're open until 9:30 and if you're in a rush go home and send a server that wants to be there. Service, service, service. It was absolutely non existent and at a restaurant that isn't McDonalds prices, do better. You never came back to our table and asked if the food came out ok or if we needed more drinks. As a matter of fact, my spouse walked to the bar and ordered their own drink, unacceptable. Absolutely ridiculous. We couldn't enjoy our meal because the service was so poor and I'd absolutely not return. We had the Halibut, which was tasty but could do without the ro and the chicken dish, which was prepared well. The steak tartare was just ok and the bread and hummus was a good addition. Nah, wouldn't recommend. Please have a conversation with Olivia Z., if she's having a day she needs to exit and not work that day in hospitality.
