Castaways Cove is a laid back eatery that has a fun tiki theme to it. They claim to be the world's highest tiki bar on their website. We sat at the bar and had a fun bartender that served us. There was also a good crowd on hand that night that added to the fun vibe of this place. The drink menu has a nice variety of tiki themed drinks. I am a big Mezcal guy and ordered the Smuggling Nuts. For food, Castaways Cove has poke bowls and island snacks. The spam musubi was amazing. We loved them so much that we ordered a couple more. Overall, Castways Cove was a good time and ended up being a great way to close out our fun trip to Breckenridge.

There are plenty of beer pubs and wine bars but not that many that make nice cocktails. The feel of the bar has significantly changed in the last year. It's gone from "everyone is drunk here woohoo!" to a nice cocktail bar. I love the concept of this bar. They have super traditional absinthe, absinthe cocktails, and absinthe wash cocktails, but also "normal" cocktails, beer and wine. The vibe is just really nice. It's chill, friendly, clean and comfortable. I love that they have a couch as well as a bar for sitting. There is a dart board and a few bar games you can play. Lisa and Sam, the two bartenders, are lovely. They're friendly and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back!

For entree we went with their Pasta Rotante which for the night was a crazy flavor combo of tomato, pumpkin seeds, crunchy carrot strings, sage and chicken sausage. We have been friends for 26 years and we took a girls getaway to Breckenridge. I can't begin to say enough positive things about your establishment! The martinis were absolutely scrumptious. Christian is a dedicated young man, and as I told him he is like "an old soul in a young body". I mean that with the highest regard! He is completely squared away, he was personable, kind, and friendly while still tending to all of the guests that were there. One thing that impressed me the most is how he kept his bar so organized.....he has an incredible attention to detail... before he served any drink, he put a straw in it, pulled it out with his finger held over the top of the straw and sampled a taste of the drink, and then would throw the straw away. I've only seen this done at a few establishments, which I can tell you Cecilia is at the top of the list and the epitome of a wonderful experience! The only thing I would ask in return is that the owner of Cecilia's please recognize Christian for all of his efforts. Too often in life, people are very quick to complain about a negative experience and as a result, no one will take the time to reward positive experiences. Ironically, after two days of straight blizzard, a couple of the resorts actually had to close on our last day planned for snowboarding because there was too much snow to upkeep. Instead, we pivoted to a fun little day in truckee, and we passed by RMU for a drink. It wasn't too busy and we sat at the bar chatting with the bartender for a bit. I think I had a cider since they didn't have any sour beers (and I'm soft) and it was crisp and delicious. Prices were fair, and it's a pretty "know what you're getting" type of place - there's no pool or shuffleboard etc, just a bar. They had some decent merch too. I didn't even know they had an RMU in Tahoe, I've been to the Breckenridge location and that's what made me want to check this out. Would definitely pass by again if I'm in the area
