Great bar Banter from Hailey et Al. Good music, excellent happy hour special. As always I sat at the bar, and received Best Service. Food, especially the Green Chili Fries, were heavenly and during Happy hour -$3 off the normally outrageous price!

Good spot, in the heart of Dillion. The burgers are massive, wings are solid and nice beer selection.

    Burnt steak sub

My husband and I decided to do takeout from pugs. We are locals-live here. I got a steak sub with beer cheese & salad. Salad is ok, but the steak sub is so overcooked it's actually burnt. Husband said they weren't busy so there's no excuse. The beer cheese has the consistency of water. Horrible! I work at a restaurant and I can't imagine my place sending food out like this. Will not eat at pugs again. Had the same thing last time too. Thought I'd give it another chance and I got burned again.

We have been coming to Keystone for over 20 years and Pug Ryan's has always been a staple. Today, very disappointing. Very very rundown there were 2 to 4 patrons in the restaurant. Normally the outside is flooding with people and dogs. The grass was dead. The wood deck was chipped. The lady at the entrance did not smile or welcome us, gave us a nasty look, did not say hi, or, have a good day or anything. I will never go back.

    Meatball sub. $20.

Mind you this is not a full review of coming in and enjoying dinner. I simply picked up a meatball sub to go and brought it back to my hotel room to eat. The sandwich pictured looks far better than it actually was. Meatballs were overcooked, and the flavor bland. For a $20 price tag your better off heading to the Subway sandwich shop for much higher quality at half the price. This place seems more like a local watering hole then catering to the tourist. Like I said, this was an in and out kind of experience. Should have gone to Scrappy's next door to my hotel.

If memory serves I was at Pug Ryans many years ago but getting an updated experience of their beer I felt was necessary. For Pug Ryans Steve and I both had their version of the Dunkel beer. Not a bad dark lager at all. Flavorful and fun to drink my first impression also says that this is a very popular beer with customers!

We had a really nice lunch and drink here during our visit to the Dillon Reservoir! There was some kind of van-living conference going on in town that day, so it was a busy day in the central part of this beautiful mountain town. We put our name in and the wait was only 20 minutes - enough time for us to go take photos in front of the reservoir and explore the beautiful waterfront. I highly recommend this course of action! I got the text that our table was ready and we headed into the restaurant proper. I wish I would have gotten a flight, but my beer was light and refreshing. My date really enjoyed his as well! We went with the pretzels and I ordered the chicken salad sandwich for my meal. The fries are really good here and my sandwich hit the spot after a day of driving and walking. The vibe is certainly family friendly and there were a LOT of kids here of many different ages. Our server was excellent though the the rest of the staff we encountered were pretty chilly. Worth it for the easy seating process, great beer, and decent food.

Cool vibe! Parking was easy, friendly hostess. We got the Sheppard's Pie and it was perfect for a cool day.

I've been here a few times over the last couple years, and it's become a go-to for me in the area. I'm a sucker for a good Mai Tai. And boy oh boy, they make a great one here. Definitely ones of the standouts on the classic cocktail menu. Flip the menu around and you'll find unique original drinks. For the classics, stick with Mai Tai, Jungle Bird, Saturn, or Piña Colada. We came here after an event where there was appetizers, so we didn't want to commit to entrées. Jungle has a nice selection of tropical appetizers, burgers, chicken tenders, fish tacos, etc. This was my first time eating here. We ordered the ceviche and nachos. Ceviche was very sweet due to the passion fruit (actually way too sweet) but I appreciated the execution of the shrimp, lime, and other ingredients. The nachos were solid with a white queso. A fancier/island take on a bar staple. Wouldn't run back for either personally, just my preference! We sat on the patio and service was prompt and friendly. I would like to sit inside one day, keep in mind close to half the seating is outside the actual bar. But on a beautiful night in Boulder, it's a great place to be. Definitely recommend Jungle. It's not one of those overly pretentious tiki bars. It has a nice neighborhood bar feel, albeit their talent behind the stick. Check them out!

We had spent the…read morebetter part of a week speaking in the specialized, high-altitude jargon of modern educators, and our brains had turned to a substance resembling lukewarm oatmeal. Denver had been baking under a relentless sun all week, but by Tuesday night, the universe repented. A cool breeze moved across the tiny outdoor patio like a formal apology from the atmosphere. The inside of Adrift is a total, unapologetic capitulation to the tiki gods. There is no half-heartedness here. It is a full-throttle environment of tropical greenery, bamboo, and high-proof rum. Naturally, in such surroundings we ordered drinks to stop the psychic bleeding. My eyes landed on a cocktail called The Adrift. The menu warned that it carried a strict limit of two per person, that the ingredients were protected by a non-disclosure agreement, and it featured two tiny skulls drawn next to the name. When a piece of paper warns you that a liquid is a state secret and might compromise your motor skills, it is your duty as a curious mammal to order it. It arrived in a heavy ceramic mug buried under enough foliage to hide a small sniper. It tasted marvelous and dangerously smooth, the sort of beverage that politely informs your frontal lobe that it is no longer in charge of the evening. A coworker ordered a classic Mai Tai, which only had one skull on the menu, a cautious, low-stakes life choice. She took a sip and made the exact face a person makes when they discover their pockets have been picked. Our server, who was hyper-alert to human discomfort, pounced instantly. Instead of hiding behind the ice machine, the bartender actually walked out to our patio table a few minutes later. She explained she had tasted the pour and realized the orange liqueur had been completely left out of the build. She apologized like a real person who had made a real mistake, and fixed it immediately. In a world where most businesses spend millions trying to convince you that their errors are actually your fault, this level of raw, unprompted honesty was impressive. We ordered a small mountain of plates to absorb the alcohol: Hawaiian mac salad, Volcano Fries, Spam musubi, and crab rangoons. This is communal, heavy, satisfying food meant to be stolen off your neighbor's plate while they aren't looking. For the main act, I had the Pirate Smash burger, which hit that strange, perfect note of sweet and spicy without overcomplicating a simple sandwich. There are grander, more expensive dining rooms in Denver where people look very serious and eat tiny portions of expensive foam. But Adrift gives you exactly what you need when adulthood becomes too heavy a burden to carry: large drinks, good grease, a slight breeze, and a room full of people who have temporarily forgotten about their responsibilities.

It's the signature drink that's a blend of tropical fruits, spices, and undisclosed spirits. Mai Tai: Lime, almond, orange, mint, blend of rums. Like most tiki bars, they have various strengths of drinks. Some drinks are so strong you can only have two total. They also have an EXTREMELY long list of rums, agave, gin, brandy, etc. So you could have them make anything as complex and off the menu as you want. They also have food: shrimp, fries, lobster Rangoons, spam musubi, cucumber salad, Hawaiian Mac salad, Hawaiian rolls. So perfect bar/snack food to share. Service is perfect.
