I don't know why the reviews are low on this place. It was super clean, full large bar, varied menu, and sports on TV. Relaxed but elevated and everything was delicious! The fried pickles were some of the best I've ever had and the tots were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The young woman who served us was quick and friendly. She even walked outside to make sure we headed in the right direction for our next stop. If you're in Conifer, this is a great stop to relax, drink a beer (soda good too), watch sports, and have a great quality meal. read more

Started with a spicy bloody Mary, asking for celery and getting it. It was a decent Bloody Mary. Ordered a baha burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, and an aioli sauce with a side of tater tits. The only hiccup in service was something on their end of the order not going through so service lagged. The waygu burger was not my favorite. It was a little overdone and slightly cold. It seemed like it was sitting out for a bit before they served it to us. Got the bill and it includes a "Kitchen Surcharge" and a "PIF" line items. you are a resultant. kitchen is sorta implied and the PIF is bullshit as well. on top that the meal was super expensive and doesn't match the service or the meal. if you want to be a neighborhood pub with pub food then charge for it. if you want to charge a premium then you need to make better food. then PIF and Kitchen Surcharges hidden in the bill should NEVER be a thing. Ground beef, a bag of frozen veggies with mashed instant potatoes on top and no flavor. How hard is it to cook a pot of stew for a holiday? Plus you'd think after 7 years they'd learn your name but that's only for the drunks at the bar I guess. The food we were served would have been good had it been placed on our table 5 -10 minutes prior to sitting in the kitchen under a heat lamp. We ate the semi warm food due to our ravenous appetites and without our server stopping at our table to ask how our meal is. I am not sure what is going on here. The last few times we've been there we see the servers in the middle of the restaurant usually gossiping and complaining about something. We sat down and it took them a good minute to get to our table. It's like it isn't work but social hour for them. Drinks took way too long to get to our table. The food took even longer. I can see if we ordered a steak or something that takes time, but a gyro? Really? They just changed the menu and took off some staples. Not good. Since the server was busy doing who knows what we had to hunt down extra napkins ourselves (no big deal I know, but it wasn't busy and they expect tips. I don't go to a restaurant to serve myself. I would stay home and do that.) We used to frequent this place, but it just isn't a pleasant experience so why? I love supporting locals, but they have to produce good food and service. We called 15 minutes ahead about patio seating after a morning of leaf peeping and were told we'd have no trouble, that no reservations were taken for the patio, so we quickly made our way only to find that there would be a 25-30 minute wait. We got on the list then debated whether to move on. I wandered to the patio and saw that people were finishing up, and in fact a moment later one table was vacated, so I knew it would be fast. Well, 10-15 minutes later, that one table had yet to be bussed, and so we waited. Eventually our name was called again. Again, this was for a table indoors. We still wanted to be on the patio! So, still we waited. Finally the patio table was bussed and we were brought there. Menu QR codes were on the table. We hurriedly selected our drinks and food, hoping to get out of there before the children became anxious. But no waiter came. Another 10 minutes or so and the owner hurried past, dropping off our silverware as an afterthought. Still nobody came to take our order! No drinks, not even water, all we had was silverware wrapped in napkins. Another 10 minutes and we got up and left. A waitress wandered past us, making eye contact, but not a word. I would assume that if there were some trouble with staff, someone would have mentioned it and asked for our patience, at the very least getting our drink order. But no apologies. Nothing to make us appear valuable to them in the least. We wasted over an hour at this place and came away with nothing, still hungry and now disappointed. read more
