A good local restaurant that we frequent often. Burgers are great! The open beef sandwich on mashed pots I would not recommend. The Philly steak is very good but once or twice there were too many peppers and it was a bit too spicy to eat. Always great service and tv's with sports and funny clips illuminate and entertain. Great spot for an Av's game. read more

The servers usually work really hard which I appreciate. We really enjoyed this place the first couple of times, but something has changed. The portions which used to be decent are now a potion size for a child. Literally every meal could be a child's meal at this point. Just a warning - tater tots were freezer burnt to hell and back. It's a cute sports bar with TVs and good beer options, but yet they always seem to be out of so many of the beers eveytime we've went. I'm not saying don't go, but if you do, keep the expectations lower than what you would expect. read more

We stopped in after a hike, just looking for some lunch, and we're so glad we did! We sat at the bar, and it truly felt like Cheers -- everyone seemed to know each other, and the regulars were incredibly welcoming. The bartender was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich, and it was one of the best I've ever had. My husband got the gyro with French fries and loved his meal as well. They also have a great beer selection, including some non-alcoholic options, which was nice to see. If you're in the area, this is definitely a place worth stopping by for good food, great service, and a warm, local atmosphere read more

I have eaten here twice and was very impressed. I would come more often if I lived closer. The quality of the food stands out the most. The service and atmosphere were great also. We have finally found a great restaurant for dinner when returning home from the South Park area. I've had a salmon sandwich and bison meatloaf. My husband had the Rueben sandwich. I would highly recommend this restaurant. read more

Over the years we have been in to Brooks Place multiple times. The food is great for local bar food. We have found the service is a bit off most times. When we were there the other day we got the feeling the server didn't really want to be helping us; everyone has bad days I guess (maybe she found us difficult?). They have a lot of TVs going in there and it's not overly loud or anything. Overall, no big deal breakers, but we always feel like something is missing with this place. We'll probably return randomly in another year or two as we normally do. read more

Started with a spicy bloody Mary, asking for celery and getting it. It was a decent Bloody Mary. Ordered a baha burger with bacon, cheddar cheese, and an aioli sauce with a side of tater tits. The only hiccup in service was something on their end of the order not going through so service lagged. However, they noticed, came and told us the issue, and offered free chips and salsa while we waited. I truly do appreciate staff that admits a snaffu and deals with it. The burger was perfection with that slight charred taste. read more

The water had a funk taste and so did the Big Mac wrap and the burger of the month was rock hard stale and flies everywhere

Super friendly staff. Really nice view. Decorated cute. Nice bar. Food is excellent.

Good place for a casual dinner or lunch. Large selection of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and entrees. Try the bison meatloaf - it was excellent! read more

I don't know why the reviews are low on this place. It was super clean, full large bar, varied menu, and sports on TV. Relaxed but elevated and everything was delicious! The fried pickles were some of the best I've ever had and the tots were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The young woman who served us was quick and friendly. She even walked outside to make sure we headed in the right direction for our next stop. If you're in Conifer, this is a great stop to relax, drink a beer (soda good too), watch sports, and have a great quality meal. read more

Everything At brooks place was fantastic! Would 10/10 return! We got potato soup, gyro, mac wrap, tots- all delicious. Sat at the bar and got incredible service. read more

Three stars is probably accurate. Locals and passersby stop for a place to get out of the cold, hang at the bar and listen to live music. The food is not the draw but not going to keep People away either. The steak dip was good, the tots were shite. The side salad was big for $6.50 and the soda was constantly full The chicken Brooks is best if you add pickled jalapeños and mustard. Haha fries were decent. Service here is great which makes up a bit for so so food. Lots of seating in booths, tables, high tops and a bar. Rustic inside with 13 tv's with every kind of sport to watch. Definitely a sports bar where Trumpers hangout. The live music was really good and I think this is a nice feature. read more

Visited Brooks Tavern for dinner last night and it wasn't the best but also not the worst. For starters, our service was good! I enjoyed the Nachos & spinach dip the most! The waygu burger was not my favorite. It was a little overdone and slightly cold. It seemed like it was sitting out for a bit before they served it to us. Parking is very easy as it's in a plaza with other business' so there are plenty of spaces! This would be a great place to visit to watch a sports game and have a couple of drinks! read more

En route to Buena Vista, and finding ourselves hungry, my husband and I decided to give Brooks Place Tavern a try on our way through Conifer. ++ Brooks Place Tavern is a great place to catch a game! They have tvs and sports banners scattered throughout the large space. ++ We chose a jalapeño popper burger with sweet potato waffle fries and a chicken tender basket for our meals. Everything was cooked well and quenched our hunger. ++ Since I wasn't driving, I chose to sip on a good ol' bloody mary with my meal. It was just what I needed. While everything was "A-OKAY" during our visit, nothing in particular was super memorable. I'd give Brooks Place Tavern another try if we find ourselves in the area. read more

I had this Sammie at the house... a couple of hours after lunch. THE BEST COLD FRIES I HAVE EVER HAD! Crispy-crispy... crunchy perfectly seasoned. I can only imagine what they would be like fresh. Food and service is adequate here esp for a mountain restaurant. Got the bill and it includes a "Kitchen Surcharge" and a "PIF" line items. you are a resultant. kitchen is sorta implied and the PIF is bullshit as well. on top that the meal was super expensive and doesn't match the service or the meal. if you want to be a neighborhood pub with pub food then charge for it. if you want to charge a premium then you need to make better food. then PIF and Kitchen Surcharges hidden in the bill should NEVER be a thing. Get rid of the pandemic and post-pandemic bullshit charges. read more

Don't let "tavern" throw you off because the food here is amazing! I had the portobello burger, my hubby had the brat-mac and cheese, and my papa had the burnt tips with sweet potato fries. Actually, (negative stars). I could not get service as an African American family. We followed Covid-19 guidelines, signed in and waited outside respectfully. I walked in twice within the 15 minutes. The waitperson Jen (if if this is her real name) acknowledged me. Then a different ethnic couple walked in. She served them within milliseconds. I then inquired and stated I had been waiting. She then did the typical "Karen", Oh, I didn't see you " Two waitresses@1240-100 pm. I walk in twice, they see me and acknowledge, and now I'm unseen. Okay Jen, Karen. I see you. And this place was highly recommended by Zipline Tours. Obviously they are unaware of this hidden practice of persons with melanin. Of course, the response will be this is not a practice. Awful experience, terrible server. After 45 minutes the server mumbled something about the order not getting printed, so over 90 minutes to get the check. A simple apology and maybe 10% off would have gone a long way, but no. read more

The service was great, our waitress was very sweet. This is one of the only sports bar type restaurants in the area, which can be fun for game days. The food was very under whelming, bland, and over priced. We had the pretzel bites which came out hot and the cheese sauce was good. These were the star of the meal. The open faced sand which didn't really have much flavor and could really use a side of roasted carrots or some sort of vegetable to compete the dish. It really didn't make sense to me why this single dish didn't come with a side when it's meat, mashed potatoes and a slice of bread. For the price I was really expecting something tasty. While I may come back for a beer to watch games, I don't think I'll order anything other than appetizers again. read more

I've been several times due to proximity. The pork nachos deliver with plenty of actual meat and extras. I highly recommend the "Brooks Place" burger with a swap to the bison patty, although the Baja and Country Western are both good options as well. It's also a good place to catch any game. read more

As a long term customer we come in once a week. The food was just okay but we like having a local spot. Holiday decorations are always good and we can bring our pups to the flowered patio. We're reaching a breaking point though with the food. In 7 years the menu has only mildly changed and isn't great. Patty's day was a joke. Shepard's pie was worse than a frozen entree. Ground beef, a bag of frozen veggies with mashed instant potatoes on top and no flavor. How hard is it to cook a pot of stew for a holiday? Plus you'd think after 7 years they'd learn your name but that's only for the drunks at the bar I guess. If anyone wants to open a conifer bar and grill with good atmosphere, food and friendly staff you won't have much competition. read more

Food is really good here I've been coming here since 2017 and it changes a bit over the years but it's been pretty good and reliable. Service is just fine and I feel like it used to be better for sure. It's cute inside and has plenty of games for kiddos to play. read more

Don't get the sliders!! Just because you call them Waygu beef doesn't mean they should be inedible. We let our waitress know we couldn't eat the sliders because there was a very strange taste. She said they were fine and insisted on charging us despite the fact that they were inedible. Never again! read more

We stopped for dinner here tonight before the weekend crowd. While the service was amazing the food just fell short of expectations. The hummus was flavorless and bland. The entire plate just wasn't appetizing! I understand it's vegetarian but they can definitely use some inspiration to make it delicious. Trust me, I've had some of the best hummus platters where my meat loving husband raved about. Their burger on the other hand was pretty tasty! Topped with guac, cheese and chili. Exactly why my husband keeps on coming here except this time they skimmed on toppings a little and changed the buns. It wasn't as loaded as before. I know this restaurant has the capability to serve consistently good quality of food. After all it's been around for a while and people still come here. Maybe it's time to revamp the menus a bit to keep it fresh and interesting. read more

Living nearby, I have eaten here once every year for the past 6 years and have not had a pleasant meal but once. I'll give it try next year hoping to make it 2 out of 7. This last Saturday we went in quite hungry for a late lunch. We were surprised to hear a talented guitarist/singer. The majority of the patrons were enjoying his performance as well as myself and my party. The food we were served would have been good had it been placed on our table 5 -10 minutes prior to sitting in the kitchen under a heat lamp. We ate the semi warm food due to our ravenous appetites and without our server stopping at our table to ask how our meal is. Both chicken fingers and wings were prepared properly, just not served in a timely manner. Onion rings are frozen from a bag. They were as any frozen product is, so-so. This restaurant is capable of so much more, I unfortunately have had bad luck on my visits. Bon appétit read more
