We were the only ones booked at the chef seating which was four stools at a bar-like space in front of a window into part of the kitchen area. There was a small sign that said Happy Anniversary, which I thought was a nice touch. We were introduced to Ryan who would be our chef host for the evening. Rob, from the bar, came over to greet us with Prosecco. Ryan made us an amuse-bouche. A crostini like toast with seasoned avocado and crisped prosciutto. A perfect bite. We ordered the Olives and the Brandy & Garlic Gamberoni as appetizers. The olives were a mix of Castelvetrano, Cerignola, Taggiasca with garlic, onion, lemon and Calabrian chili. The Brandy & Garlic Gamberoni was jumbo prawns with Calabbrian chili, lemon and focaccia. The olives were a nice salty compliment to the Prosecco. The shrimp was tender and delicious with the focaccia. We continued to have engaging conversation with Ryan. My husband chose the Beef Bolognese as his entree, pappardelle, carrots, celery, onion, garlic, San Marzano tomato and Pecorino Romano. He enjoyed every bite. I chose the Diver Scallop. They were able to leave out the English peas due to my allergy. The scallops were accompanied by risotto, crisped prosciutto and parmesan. The risotto was creamy and complimentary to the tender scallops. My husband is a fan of grappa. He spoke with Rob about it and was able to order as well as see the bottle of the grappa. The brand was Anfora. We decided 32 years deserved dessert as well. We chose the Crème Brûlée. Ryan torched the sugar for us until crunchy. Several of them were things she recommended. we ordered gluten-free bread with roasted garlic oil dipping sauce. One person in our group was gluten-free and we had to ask three times if it was really gluten-free bread, because it was that good. We ordered spaghetti with sausage, rigatoni with sausage, baked, and a Margarita pizza. We all had glasses of wine and the food came out fairly quickly and the plates look spectacular. My Baked Chicken rigatoni was perfect, lots of gooey creamy cheese on top and a fair amount of sausage mixed in with the rigatoni and marinara cream sauce. The spaghetti with sausage also delicious. The Margarita pizza was way too big for a single person to eat and I think we all had a slice. Our server Morgan suggested several desserts, but nobody seem to be ready for that. Maximizing seating versus floor space. The noise level seems average-to-above-average. Probably because the seating is more cramped than spacious. The salad bar has basic options, not too elaborate and the bar itself is definitely on the smaller side. The pizza window is super small for being a "buffet" ... either wait or rub elbows with others. And to get plates, you have to wait for the server to bring them as they do not place plates at the pizza window. The beer cheese soup is good. Add some croutons and it's fairly decent. No like super wow factor, just good. Speaking of waiting... it took about 10 minutes from being seated before we received menus to look at or to even be asked what drinks we wanted. All while several staff were standing around doing nothing but talking. And then wait for the drinks to come and wait and wait. Then feel rushed to make an order. And they are in no hurry to bring plates to be able to go get food. And you are not allowed to reuse plates. So don't be in any hurry to eat. The biggest benefit is IF you can get a place to park, if you are in the super tight and small parking lot (fee-paid parking ONLY) they will give a validation for a very specific time frame for the lot. So you either have to plan to eat fast and get out or plan to still pay for parking. And waiting for the server will definitely cut into the time you have for the limited parking validation they offer. The biggest drawback? Well remember the advice for not going to eat there when there are flying bugs? Well on our visit there were at least a few dozen flies in the pizza prep/cook/serving area. All over the ceiling, the walls, the pizza oven, the pizza racks where they had pizzas waiting, and the pizza serving area. It was nauseating. It was so chilling and disgusting that I got ill from seeing it and literally couldn't even eat anything and had to leave. Now when it comes to service and customer support/satisfaction, they did make it right. They wiped the bill except for certain items we had consumed from the back kitchen where they said they didn't have the same fly issue. They made it right in that regard. And they offered us to return for a free dinner in the future (suggested to come after the freezing weather to avoid flies in the food). They apologized heartily and were understanding about my concerns. The frustrating part at the end was that they had no idea how to mitigate the fly issues in the food prep and serving area... guess they were not aware of the available options for pest control in restaurants and kitchens. I did appreciate their response to the situation. It was a fair and proper way to handle the situation. That is why they got two stars over only one. Would I go back? Not likely. I might consider it in the dead of winter to avoid having bugs in or on my food. But I am not sold on the idea of going back after this experience.

For my entree, I went with the rigatoni, which I'd heard was one of their staples. It was great. The serving size isn't too big, so I didn't get too full, but it was just enough. Overall, a very tasty dish. My fiancée got the cavatelli, a more seasonal item, and I got to try a couple of bites. It was also really good.
