The staff was attentive and nice. The pizza dough was outstanding. Best practice: While our pizza had 3 different toppings, we were charged 1 meat topping and 1/2 additional topping. I really like that they charged VERY fair in the toppings.

Honestly one of the best pizza places in the Denver area. The staff is great and the location great. The dough is made in house with the pizza sauce. This is how pizza should taste. This pizza is really comparable with the better New York City slices in New York.

I've actually been here a handful of times before, but always stuck to the pizza and pasta (which are great). I honestly can't believe I overlooked the sandwiches for this long. I went with the chicken parm sandwich and it was outstanding--crispy, perfectly breaded chicken, rich marinara, and just the right amount of melted cheese on fresh bread that holds everything together without getting soggy. Easily one of the best chicken parms I've had around here. I reluctantly traded half for the sausage and peppers sandwich, and honestly... it was just as good. The sausage had great flavor and snap, the peppers were cooked perfectly, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. It's rare you order two different sandwiches and can't decide which one you liked more, but that was the case here. One of the sneaky best deals: you can add a cup of soup for just $2. I tried the rustic sausage and potato soup and it was excellent--hearty, flavorful, and felt homemade in the best way. What stood out beyond the food is how consistent everything felt with what others say: high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and that authentic, no-frills Italian deli vibe. You can tell they care about doing simple things really well.

They were pretty busy at around 5:30 on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag a table since they also take reservations and some were being held. The service was great, she gave us her recommendations and was very very patient while we all decided what plates to share. They give you some small plain bread knots when you sit down and had no problem, giving us a refill, even a side of marinara sauce for dipping when we asked. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and delicious lightly, garnished with the balsamic glaze that sets the flavor off, not too overpowering. We shared three different pastas - the penne rustica, the shrimp and artichoke, and the pesto tortellini. The rustica was definitely the best, it had such a depth of flavor, and the sauce was a perfect rosé of creamy tomato, with the vegetables helping set off the textures and flavors even more. The other two pastas were good, but I wouldn't prioritize ordering them again, the pesto tortellini was so rich and creamy, but lacked any pesto flavor, which was surprising since it was vivid and green, and so visually appealing. The shrimp and artichoke was good, but didn't allow me, I felt like the artichoke needed more seasoning or something to bring it out a little in the sauce and pasta mix. The owner Nancy was such a sweetheart. She was so attentive and came over to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time I'll be trying the Bolognese :)

The restaurant is pick up only , we pulled up and they ran out the dinner. We ordered the Feast for 6, a spaghetti dinner which comes with sausage or meatballs - a salad, and garlic bread. We ordered meatball but we could have 1/2 & 1/2'ed the meat which was nice. The noodles were just delicious, hardy and flavorful. The sauce tasty and nicely spiced. The meatballs excellent. It is 100% authentic in flavor, which I appreciate. You could taste that the meal is made by an Italian chef. To many downtown restaurants have BS menus they know nothing about - that is NOT the case here. I might suggest they upgrade the salad a bit , it was the typical restaurant bagged salad blend with shredded cheese & covered with sliced pepperoni. Don't get me wrong it was very nice to have with the heavy meal, I just wasn't as excited as I was with everything else. And I am nitpicking !! The meal was excellent. Location is a bit tricky & I hope that doesn't negatively impact this place. Upside it is very close to the new Stack 'em & pack 'em mixed retail so hopefully that will be good for him. The only decent food near that is Vatos ( which is also terrific BTW ) I hope Paulie's works with the Marriot to send business his way. Great meal- will order again and highly recommend you give Paulie's a try.

A special point to highlight is they will cater and adapt to a variety of dietary restrictions. Highly recommend for folks who struggle to find a restaurant who can modify dishes for your needs. Cocktails are great, wine selection is wonderful, service is attentive, and a vibrant environment. Give it a shot! One thing to be aware of, and one recommendation - They do not take reservations. Budget in time to wait for your turn, or send someone ahead to sidle up to the bar after adding your party to the list, who you'll meet later, especially on busy evenings. After entering the building, the hostess approached with a tepid "what's up." Our server acted like taking our order was a favor, and she was so eager to walk away I had to get her attention TWICE to finish ordering what I wanted (hey, can we also get an order of pepperoni rolls, HEY, can I also get an IPA). Zero attention paid to water and drinks that needed replenishing. The manager needs to pay more attention to the level of service and professionalism of the staff, a lot more. This may be why they tack on a mandatory 20% surcharge with a little lecture on the receipt about how it provides a living wage, because I doubt they'd ever get tips at that level with this style of service. Or maybe the service is that way because they don't feel any need to work for a gratuity. Under the circumstances, calling this a "hospitality" charge was just plain tacky. I didn't feel like there was any hospitality, certainly not enough to warrant a 20% fee.

We just made it a few minutes before the end of happy hour and was able to give the Pork Green Chili Cheese Fries and the Fried Pickles a try. Amazing prices for their happy hour too! We had burgers, the salmon risotto and the steak sandwich. Everything was so tasty. If I had to absolutely nitpick, the fried pickle is the chip style that I love but it was way over seasoned. When the Latina in the group tells you it's too salty, that's telling you something. I tried the pickle on the burger and it was already brined salty, then if you bread that and fry it and then season it... it was unbelievably salty.... Overall the salmon was well cooked, the burgers juicy and the steak sandwich super tender. The bar decor was super pretty and the service amazing.... The items on the menu had average prices to them, so there was no sticker shock on that end but, when did restaraunts start charging extra for sides of ranch?! We started with the burrata based on Yelp reviews and they weren't wrong. Super fresh tasting, and the focaccia paired with it perfectly. The sauce was deep and hearty and the pasta was exactly al dente. We split a strawberry guacamole sorbet and glad we did, it was larger than expected and absolutely delicious.
