Hidden gem! Delicious and beautiful food served by friendly staff. This is our second visit to this lovely hidden restaurant. It sits back in the corner of a multilevel strip center in this quaint little town. It is in the same complex as the Stage Door Theatre. And that's why we've come here both times - it's an excellent restaurant and is open at the perfect time for matinee performances at the theater. Both times we've arrived with 4 to 5 people and have been seated by a friendly and helpful lady. The menu was given to us, and we each chose an entrée, knowing that the entrées are large and we needed no appetizer. On our first visit, we had an excellent bottle of red wine, but this time we decided to stick with water. Our orders ranged from glass noodles, Pad Thai, extra hot, Ramen, pot with beef, and a vegetarian dish. Every plate was full of delicious food. One thing to note is that their hot (level 4) is pretty darn hot. The medium (level 3) is fairly hot. My brother-in-law had the Thai hot (level 5) and said it was definitely as hot as he would want it. My sister-in-law ordered level two and was very happy. read more

The employees greet you with a smile and a warm welcome. The seating is abundant and spaced out. The food is served hot and plentiful Vegan options. The Curry options are a personal favorite. However, I have been recommended the glass noodles. Will be back to have more! read more

I would give a zero if I could. The Rainforest beef was gray. The pad Thai was dry AF. And the worst part...my child's fried chicken was RAW. He ate several bites before we noticed. The front desk person called the owner and we were given a refund at least for the RAW chicken. I will never eat here again. read more

Visited Thai 202 as a stop through the mountains. I was impressed. The food and service was very good. The place itself was nice. While it was in a strip mall complex it had its own space and identify. We we the only ones in the place the whole time (summer Friday at noon). The staff member was super attentive. We got the spring rolls which were the standard with two sauces. They arrived immediately after ordering. Then we got the drunken noodles and pad Thai. Both were very good. We ordered 3/5 spicy level. They also gave some chili oil and cayenne pepper flakes to add if you wanted. The drunken noodle was spicer. Other Asian places 3/5 are spicer though. I never write reviews, but this experience was horrible. My boyfriend and I love thai food and tried Thai 202 once before- it was great!! Safe to say this experience was not the same. To begin, there was no server for at least 15 minutes after arriving. Finally, the server came and asked for our order to which we ordered the beef rainforest, potstickers, and pad Thai with beef. The pad Thai came out first and was incredibly bland, and we asked on the status of our potstickers as it was supposed to be an appetizer. The potstickers immediately appeared like it had been sitting in the kitchen waiting to be delivered. To top it all off, the beef rainforest was served 5 minutes later and was completely dry, cold, and GRAY. None of our food had any flavor. Last, no one ever came to check on us after the food was served until my boyfriend took it to the front and asked for it to be comped as I ate nothing. The girl working the registered agreed to comp it as I only ate 1 bite. Safe to say we will NEVER return. Save your time, money and sanity. Completely unprofessional. This place is a solid 4 or even 5 star place. We went out of the city of Denver for a long hike & after we were looking for a good Thai place, surprisingly this place was near! We really enjoyed everything we ordered (Panang Curry & Khao Soi) both were delicious. Perhaps a bit on the pricey side $16-20+ per entree but we were happy. I liked the Panang a lot which is what I ordered & my wife really liked her Khao Soi- both delicious though. The food came out pretty quickly, maybe within 15-20 minutes- however we were the only ones there on a Sunday at lunchtime. The Ambiance and service were somewhat standard, in fact the ambiance maybe lacking a bit. With all that said if you're looking for a good Thai place located 30-60 minutes from Denver you found it! I wouldn't necessarily drive far to specifically go to this place however if you take a hike or are on/in the outskirts of town I would absolutely go. Happy eating!! read more

I really wanted to give this place more stars.....however, I just can't. I will start with saying the staff are super friendly and the restaurant looked very clean and inviting. We got the following: Chicken Pad Thai: the amount of food I did get for this order could have easily fed two people. It looked amazing and I couldn't wait to get it it in my belly. There was a very yummy smell, and there was a lime and real peanuts on top. But I was so surprised with the very first bite to decide that they may have used regular pasta noodles and not rice noodles. So it had a very bizarre taste. And I love chicken pad Thai. But that's not what it was. Fried shrimp rolls: very bland tasting. Shrimp spring rolls: fell apart the second we opened them from the plastic wrap. And not much flavor other. Just very bland. Cheese wontons: small and did not have much filling Chicken Panag: was actually really good, no complaints But overall I don't think we will try this again until later on maybe till they figure some things out our bill was $80. read more

Update: Visited again and eagerly ordered the egg rolls only to bite into them and it was very different. These had a much wetter, cooked soft veggie interior (think Panda Express style). Still obviously homemade, but not at all my personal favorite style. I ordered the lemongrass soup and was incredibly disappointed to find it had large thick chunks of canned mushrooms in it and mixed freshness of the chicken slices. Some tasted fine and some tasted like "old chicken", when there's only 4 things in a soup, the meat especially needs to be consistently fresh tasting. It was also not in a discernibly lemongrass broth, by flavor profile, but I could see lemongrass bits in it, yet the strongest flavor was very very sour and quite salty. I didn't enjoy it at all. I wished the menu reflected that it would be so sour. I was expecting a clear lemongrass chickeny broth type soup, that's on me, I definitely could have asked more about what I was ordering. This tasted like Tom Yum Gai to me, a soup many people love- but isn't one of my favorites. The rice served with it was almost inedible, super dry and hard, not pleasant to eat and not softened by the hot broth. I stopped trying to eat the dish and set it aside. I also ordered the crying tiger entree which was described as "grilled steak seasoned with herbs". That's not at all what I received. I received regular, cheaper cuts of sliced Asian style beef, with not much of any seasoning on them, and a classic dipping sauce. I was very unhappy to see that there was zero steak. I've had crying tiger many times before and it's always a sliced steak served with a dipping sauce and sometimes lettuce. I would never ever order a $20+ dish of cheap Asian style sliced beef. That kind of beef often has a chewy and unpleasant texture to me and indeed still did in this dish. So warning to anyone looking for steak, this isn't it. They got super busy so no one came to ask me how anything was, or I'd have shared that I didn't appreciate the quality of beef labeled as steak and priced more like steak tips. I also tried the Thai tea and it tasted a little "left open in the refrigerator" taste, to me. Not sure that description will make sense to others, but sometimes open containers of tea or milk will seem to pick up a stale flavor I associate with things sitting in the fridge open or maybe too long. It wasn't too strong, but was noticeable. Over all, I was really disappointed by this visit but I'd still go again and try other things. They broke my trust by not labeling the menu effectively with the steak and sour soup but I will ask more questions when ordering next time. Also... Eventually any restaurant that consistently serves mixed fresh and older tasting chicken (or any meat), falls out of favor with me fast, so I really hope that was a bit of a fluke. I still love having Asian offerings on the mountain side and look forward to trying different stir fries and curries next time. read more

We came in for takeout and ordered two pad Thais. When I picked up, the food was fresh and ready on time. The service was friendly and the inside feels like somewhere I would enjoy to eat a meal. The pad Thai tasted great and the ingredients were fresh. It was perfectly acceptable and good Pad Thai. My only complaint is that when asked how spicy, they determined we wanted it "American spicy" which usually means Buffalo sauce level in my experience. We unfortunately didn't think that it was spicy at all, but they may have been trying to play it safe. I recommend this spot and will certainly be back. read more

Very disappointing experience, I have no interest in revisiting this restaurant. To summarize, it's like hospital cafeteria food; a cheap imitation at best. Thin, bland sauce on Panang curry, undercooked rice (seriously...), chicken satay appetizer appeared to be simmered in a bland liquid instead of the traditional grilled, served with a thin, bland sauce. Fried rice entree heavy on the rice, thin on substance. Plan on lowering your expectations, a lot. For a good quality Thai restaurant in the foothills, my personal recommendation would be Nana Sushi Thai in Evergreen. That's the popular concensus as well. read more

Such a cute date night spot. My husband got the Thai basil chicken and liked it but it wasn't the best he's had, I got the tonkatsu ramen and it was really good. Excited to try this place but left very disappointed. The young lady took good care of us and the food arrived quickly but the quality and flavor was far less than expected. No fresh herbs, no colorful pops of flavor Thai food is known for. My fresh spring rolls had no protein and for $7 was overpriced. The chicken wings were not battered (good) but had no flavor other than the bottled sweet sauce on the side. I ordered pad Thai with chicken and it came with pork instead. The noodles were basically a pile of goo. The rainforest beef was flavorless (and no heat even at the requested level 4/5), and mostly pork with a few slices of beef mixed in. Ok. First THAI welcome! My fave. I ordered something that wasn't on the menu and they gladly prepared it. It wasn't quite what I am used to, but pretty close. It needed more vegetables and Thai basil. Plus the Thai 5 hot wasn't even a little hot. That was disappointing so I poured the red pepper flakes on it. The rice was a bit dry and was ok. My husbands dish was soy sauce heavy and overall had a weird flavor, but he liked it. Our table was a bit dirty. I saw them cleaning the tables I think they just needed to put some muscle into it. Haha. The fried banana was good but not executed well. The banana was squashed into egg roll wrappers flattened. And fried. They are working on home-made coconut Ice cream but we got mint for now. Don't get me wrong I like mint ice cream but it didn't go with the dish, nor did the honey on the ice cream nor the cabbage and tomato garnish. This place has hope! The service is ok. The kids are really trying. Super friendly and willing to do the job! Will try it again. b ***Update ordered Masaman Curry - Did not like it. Way too much coconut milk and had hot pineapple. Food was great. We had the panang curry with pork and the Cashew chicken they wre both outstanding. It is very nice to have a Thai restaurant up the mountain. It is a nice casual eat in or take out. So glad to have a local Thai place! We've ordered to-go several times. The staff is really responsive and accommodating to dietary requests. Most of the dishes can be made gluten free - so far we've tried the pad Thai, drunken noodles, fried rice, Massaman Curry, etc. We especially like Thai food to be "Thai Hot" - but this place is pretty light on the spicy-ness. It's getting better and we try to emphasize this when ordering. For vegans there are a lot of choices. read more

Very disapointed. Two dinners, over 40 bucks and they sit on the table uneaten. The cook failed. They have no taste to them, both. They sent it home with the entre mixed with the rice. I had to search through the rice to find the scarce protein. But biggest fail was the lack of any flavor. If the cook prepared any sauce with the protein if was completely soaked up by the rice.
