Pickling should enhance; this just assaulted. The bibimbap was less than memorable as well. Then there were the chopsticks. The cheapest wooden chopsticks imaginable - the kind that snap in unexpected places and in ways that make you question the physics of wood. A small detail, maybe, but it says something about how much a restaurant values the full dining experience. While the service itself was friendly and attentive, the overall experience didn't feel even remotely authentic. Not one of the staff were Asian which should have been an indication from the start.

On this evening I ordered a variety of nigiri pieces, the 5 piece sashimi board, and a chicken gizzard, chicken heart, and pork belly yakitori skewers. The sushi was very good and totally legit. The Sashimi board while good, the pieces were oddly cut. Not a complaint but it looked like the trimmings of the end pieces. The skewers were great, I'm not sure how many order the heart and gizzards but if you are a fan then this place nailed it. The pork belly skewer was probably my favorite. Since I was happy with the sushi, I placed a final order for their fresh uni nigiri, it was very fresh, creamy, and worth it! Overall great place, solid service, easy location, and lots of parking. We'll be back for sure!

Both were delicious but I'd go back for the creamy ramen special if they have it next time. The drinks were nice and cold but my rose glass was less than ideal in terms of cleanliness as it had another lip mark and finger print on it... I would go with the draft beer next time as their glasses looked cold and clean. The restaurant overall could be cleaner but it does appear that they had a rush with lots of uncleaned table. Based on food and service alone, I would give this place a 5 star.

The gyoza came out perfectly pan-seared -- crispy on the bottom, tender on top, and packed with flavor. That dipping sauce had just the right balance of salty, tangy, and savory. You could easily crush two orders without trying. The pork belly steamed buns were next-level. Soft, pillowy buns wrapped around rich, melt-in-your-mouth pork belly. The balance of fat, sweetness, and sauce was perfect. Messy in the best possible way. And then the star -- the Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth was deep, creamy, and packed with flavor -- that slow-simmered richness that tells you it was done right. The noodles had the perfect bite, and the pork was tender and seasoned beautifully. Every spoonful made you slow down just to appreciate it. Hands down one of the best meals I've had in a long time. It's a fairly small restaurant so we did have to wait a bit. Since it is Ramen, it is served fairly quickly. The Ramen broth was super flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. My husband got the traditional Ramen well I decided on the dipping Ramen. I think both were great options. The dipping Ramen had a great sesame and nutty flavor. Overall, I would definitely be back, but unfortunately, we live a bit far.

I will be contacting the restaurant to resolve this, but I strongly advise others to carefully review their receipts and bank statements if they choose to eat here. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place.
