Food: We ordered the egg rolls, Hunan beef, and beef lo mein. The egg rolls were hot, crispy, and filled with pork and vegetables. They came with two sauces: sweet and sour, and a spicy Chinese hot mustard that was fiery but addictive. The Hunan beef arrived hot and flavorful, with broccoli, fresh green onions, and Sichuan peppers. It came with a large side of rice and was easily a shareable portion. The beef lo mein was good as well, though I personally preferred the Hunan beef. I only wish the lo mein had a bit more noodles. Overall, the food was satisfying, and I'd like to return to try some seafood and fried dishes. Service: There were only three groups dining in (including us) on a weeknight, so service was average in pace. Our server was quiet but friendly. The takeout side, however, was very busy, with lots of orders and calls coming in. I noticed some reviews mentioning that staff seemed rude, but in my experience, it wasn't rudeness--just a straightforward communication style that can come off as blunt. That's how Asians typically are. Ambience: Some reviews mentioned that the restaurant could be a little cleaner, and I agree with that point. Overall: I would definitely come back to try other dishes. In my opinion, some of the harsher reviews exaggerate minor issues so it's worth checking it out and experiencing it for yourself. We've been eating here for 20 years. The food is consistently great! I'm so happy that they survived the pandemic. We stopped by for the first time in at least 5 years. When we lived in Evergreen this was our go to place not only for Chinese food but food in general. I have to say that the food tasted exactly as I remembered it and that was a great thing! And Amy is still there and was nice as could be! This was a Togo order direct from their carry out menu. The order came out to $36.50 plus tax per their menu. Picked up our food and the bill was $42.05. Thought it was a price increase due to our menu being a couple month old, so we picked up a new one, the prices had not changed. So for screwing out of $6 they have lost our business! The second we walked they immediately gave us attitude. absolutely did not feel WELCOME. i was incredibly UNCOMFORTABLE with the entire situation. the entire restaurant itself did not look professional once. tables dirty, did not look like a restaurant! it was more like a pig sty. once we got our food, it was awful. definitely FROZEN food. meat was chewy, all of the meat we got was all FAT. tasted like soap. Reading some of the other reviews makes me question if these people were in the right restaurant. CMD is amazing. The food quality and consistency is always spot on. I've yet to have a bad meal. And the Hot & Sour soup is - hands down -the best in any town, anywhere. You can't get chinese-american food this good down the hill - I challenge you to try. I'm not sure why there aren't better reviews, but all my experiences with this restaurant have been excellent. They are reliable, fast, friendly, reasonably priced, very accommodating and their menu is super tasty! our dinner's plans for Christmas Eve fell through, we were able to get a big take-out order from them in less than an hour, and the food was amazing. They recently opened for indoor dining and the atmosphere is calm and pleasant, and the service is great. Highly recommended! read more

First off, I wanted extra veggies and she said if she added extra of each one it would cost ten dollars more Secondly, my husband showed up ten minutes after the time they quoted us and still had to wait another 20 min to get the food because of a long line. Well... we read the reviews and still tried this place as it's the only Chinese in Evergreen. We should have heeded the reviews! We were not greeted when we entered... just stared at. We are the only customers and had to ask if we could sit down. Very rude service throughout the meal. Went in to order take out and left due to the attitude and rudeness of the women who was taking our order. First we stated we wanted to sit down and then order our food Togo. She then proceeded to clear the table next to us but banging all the plates extremely loud and we had to ask twice to get or order in. Was given the lunch menu and then told lunch was no longer being served. She proceeded to give me dirty looks and spilling our drinks all over the table. When told we were leaving due to her bad attitude and terrible service she continued to be rude. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but that women should not work in customer service industry. If another Chinese place opened up near by, this place would have to step up their game. The food is mediocre at best and the prices aren't that great: $12-$14 for an entree dish that only includes rice. The egg rolls are small and lacked much flavor. The entree was spicey (hot), but was drenched in sauce that made it soupy. The "fried rice" was pathetic, hardly any egg and no vegetables at all; it was just brown rice with a random egg bit or two. I guess I am not a connoisseur of Chinese takeout...but I eat it and enjoy it and this place is just as good as most others I've tried. I usually get the szechuan chicken...it's not as spicy as I would like it but it's always loaded with chicken and veggies and has great flavor. Eggs rolls and hot and sour soup are pretty good here too. We've never done delivery so not sure if they do or if it's any good...but we have sat and had some hot sake while waiting for our order...which was pretty darn good sake:) (I know not Chinese...but whatevs) Really love this on a cold snowy day in Evergreen when you just want to get takeout so you can veg out, stuff your face and watch movies. read more

This was our second visit to Evergreen and to this restaurant in 5 years -- and it did not disappoint. First and most important -- NO MSG. I love smart restaurants. We got the Pu Pu Platter appetizers all around and everything was just fantastic. Great fried wontons and skewers of beef, egg rolls, fried shrimp etc. Individually, we got a plate of pork fried rice, a mu shoo pork, and a lemon chicken -- and everything was yummy -- it took 3 boxes to take the leftovers home, and made a great lite supper the next evening. For under $14 a person form soup, an appetizer and an entree, I am not sure you can do much better. The sweet and sour soup was the perfect blend of tart, spicy sour and sweetness, the egg roll was crispy and light and the foil chicken appetizer had a bit of a funky consistency, but a great taste overall. The fried rice and beef and broccoli were typical, nothing to throw a parade in honor of but nothing to turn up one's nose up at either. A solid choice and a great value with appetizers that leave me to wonder if there isn't an entree equally delightful that I just happened to miss and will discover on a future visit.
