My family of five went to Thai Gold last night for my birthday and had an excellent time and a delicious dinner. Thai Gold is located in what appears to be a cozy home, just off the main street. All of our wait staff were excellent. Our waiter promised not to sing, even though it was my birthday. Good! Thai Gold has an extensive menu of appetizers, soups, salads, curry and noodle dishes, and entrees. There were many vegetarian options and most curries and noodle dishes offered tofu as well as meat and shrimp to choose from. The wine list was small, but offered Cupcake Riesling, which is an excellent pairing for Thai cuisine. Our group, consisting of three vegetarians, had Crispy Tofu and Thai Curry crisps as appetizers--both excellent. Our entree choices included Honey Roasted Duck and Red Curry with tofu. My entree of spicy eggplant with tofu was a dish I had never tried before and it was excellent, with a generous amount of tofu. If you are an eggplant lover, this one is for you! AMAZING VEGAN OPTIONS at Thai Gold! We were looking for something yummy & substantial after a hot day of hiking at Clear Creek Canyon Park. We parked at the library (it's free after 5pm) and walked over. We ordered the Cashew Tofu and Spicy Eggplant with tofu (requesting mild spice) and shared. They were both OUTSTANDING! I was in a mood and ordered a virgin Pina Colada (which I haven't done in years). It totally hit the spot on this hot day, and it complemented the dishes perfectly. For dessert, I took home the Mango with Sticky Rice (which is 100% vegan). The mango was slightly tart, but it was the best mango-with-sticky-rice I've had since Thailand. Our server was incredibly kind and attentive. The atmosphere is not as exciting as Sherpa House, of course, but it was clean and calm. Just what I wanted. Service was slow but kind and the interior was interesting and had different seating areas in an older Victorian home... But the food was just absolutely not good. I took a friend here and we ordered 2 entrees to share. One was not well made at all... the Sweet Melody dish. It lacked most veggies mentioned and was essentially Costco frozen chicken tender chunks tossed in a sweetened ketchup sauce. I also got the Panang curry and it was okay. this place used to be my favorite. in recent years they've gone down hill SO much. I have ordered Larb salad at many Thai places whenever I didn't feel like a heavy meal. thisplace gave me a small apatizer plate, 70% ice berg lettuce and a small scoop of the chicken meat. WHAT? For 11$?! Everywhere else I have ever ordered this it has been a meal size, as it's listed as a salad, not an apatizer. This was 100% an apatizer, iand a really small one at that. it was served on an apatizer plate the size of my had. They didn't even tell me when I ordered this, and nothing else, that this was apatizer size and not a meal. I am so disappointed and won't be coming back. The service was phenomenal. As you can see they were dog friendly. We sat out on the outdoor area and it was such a delight. I went with my friend Sam and we tried a few different dishes ! Soups drunken noodles chicken beef tofu and more! Everything had a nice flavor and spice to it and I can't wait to go back and try more. We had a bunch of left overs but we both enjoyed every bite. Located on a quiet street, super close to the Golden downtown. The food quality is great but the flavor-wise is just average. We got a crispy duck, papaya salad, pad Thai and Tum yum soup. Tum Yum soup is my favorite Thai soup. It should be clear color but they gave us a creamy white color soup, I knew they sent us the wrong soup but since they were so busy serving new customers I didn't even want to ask them to switch it. Three things I like: The restaurant is an old fashion house. Feels very homey; The servers are very friendly even though they are so busy but kept smiling at everyone; A lot of options on their menu, good for vegetarians, vegans, and meat lovers. read more

Best place around for thai! We have take-out from Thai Gold almost weekly, as the food is always delicious and it's prepared pretty quickly. The first time I ate in person was on a Friday night when we only had a few minutes' wait for a table for two. The service was very attentive, and when they kindly asked if we could move tables to accommodate a larger group, they even gave us free spring rolls! I had the panang curry and it was delicious. It's always the perfect spice and temperature. The thai beer was great as well. The atmosphere is warm and decorative, a great casual spot. What a great find. I love Thai food and this might go down as some of the best I've ever tasted To start it helped that it was a very beautiful evening and we sat out on the lovely porch. The staff were extremely friendly, well spoken and efficient I ordered the duck salad which was dressed with a very interesting seasoning We then ordered several dished including drunken noodles with beef The noodles were outstanding the seasoning perfect The pad Thai noodles were the best ever. Not pasty but infact almost Al dente Never mushy The green curry with chicken seasoning also just right ! The few negatives.. my hot tea was not really hot , the indoor seating seemed dreary and poorly lit. Also the outdoor seating could have a bit of lighting on the tables so we could see better. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants in the Denver metro area! I have been coming here for years and it is consistently good whether I enjoy eating in the restaurant or taking my meal to go. The restaurant itself is located in an old Victorian home, which is so cool! It is so neat to be seated in a restaurant that has a lot of history. You can tell that they have left a lot of the original structure and decor which is absolutely beautiful. There is not a lot of parking in front of the restaurant, however, you can park in the bank parking lot after hours. There is also a parking garage just a few streets down. The Pad Thai here is so delicious! You get your choice of spiciness from mild to Thai hot. The dinner portions are large and you get a lot for your money! I have always found that the dinner portions are enough to share or at least have leftovers the next day. I have had the Three Flavor Chicken, the Pad Thai, the Crispy Basil Chicken, and the Pad See Ew. Everything I have ever had here has been amazing! What I love about the dishes that have crispy chicken is the fact that the crispiness is not all batter with little meat. They somehow get the chicken perfectly crispy with very little batter at all on the outside. The meat all seems to be white chicken as well. Absolutely delicious! read more

I was so happy to see this menu was full of vegan options and the ability to make most noodle dishes vegan! I ordered the pad see ew with tofu and the cream cheese rangoons and they came out fairly quickly for such a busy night! This is a small location, so if you're in a hurry I recommend ordering take out! The rangoons were crispy and filled with green onions and the tofu was crisp! I do feel that the pad see ew was rather sweet for my liking- so next time I would ask to reduce the sweetness. I ordered a five spice and it definitely had some heat! read more

This place is a gem! We were visiting Golden and didn't want to wait in the massive lines so we jumped onto Yelp and found this fabulous place! They converted an old house into the restaurant, just behind the Main Street. It's got a lot of character (you can tell from the signs outside the house) and the inside is pretty big. Great for big and small parties. Adorable little patio outside. The food was delicious! We got the lunch specials that come with a choice of soup, small appetizer and your entree. The vegetable soup broth was tasty. Loved the egg roll! And the pad Thai was everything built it up to be. The food portions were great for the price! I got a mixed meat and veggies rice place (I forget what the actual dish is called) and it was okay. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I would have liked. Kim alone deserves 5 stars, she's funny and great to talk with. :) My mom and I went ham on the appetizers haha and all three were delicious. I was definitely a big fan of their spring rolls. The restaurant is in an old house, and they have been there for quite awhile but this was my first time going. I'm glad I did! Well it was our first time trying this place and we got it to go. Thai gold..... first things first. I got some drunken noodles although unfortunately I am sober. Someone else said you can really taste the fish sauce here. I found that to be true and personally that's just not my preference but that's not why I removed stars Cream cheese wonton... pretty good? Has some pepper in it , jalapeño I think. Panang curry (my partner ordered this) was thinner liquidy than what I am used to but nice taste. Unfortunately. I was stopped dead in my tracks before I could take more than a few bites. One of my worst fears came true....a hair tangled deep into my drunken noodle. Instantly I feel sick sick sick because this just terrifies me to the bone. I always think oh god I hope there is no hairs in my food. Ever since I was a kid I just hope there is no hair in there please please please. But alas....it does happen, it did happen, and yes I am certain it came with the dish because it was tangled real deep in there and the color doesn't match We did order some other stuff to try but I just couldn't do it sorry So long story short if it weren't for the hair issue....I would've given 4 stars or maybe even a generous 5 since there was no other problem with the food except the fish sauce was just not my preference. The woman who answered the phone was friendly and helpful and the food was done fast as lightning in this summer Rocky Mountain weather. Just tried for the first time today and I'm already trying to figure out when I'm going back. Lunch special today ran until 4pm so my husband and I each got one for a check total of $27.50! I love the fact that there is a a lot of vegetarian options and is also vegan friendly. I always order the same thing "Red Thai Curry" with tofu no peppers. And the hostess who sat us was so polite and welcoming! All of the food was outstanding! We split a lunch entree (since we literally just ate before) and had the red curry. It also came with a soup and spring roll. This soup was tasty! It balanced savory, sweet, sour and spicy so well! And the entree.... the first bite blew my mind! This curry was packed with flavor! The lime leaves, cabbage and other veggies added great texture and flavor! There are no words to really describe how good this curry was... I'm speechless. Was going to go to the Sherpa House but they had some kind of function, so that's when I found this place. I was seated on the patio which was perfect as weather was amazing, I started off with an appetizer Thai Curry Crisp, Savory spiced potato and yellow curry in a crispy pastry. Served with sweet and sour sauce. and had a singha Beer from Thailand, for my entree I had the Spice Eggplant with tofu, if you like Thai food this place is great, the service was fast, prompt and friendly. Lots of great choices, I'm vegetarian and all the dishes can be made to suit vegans. Can't wait to eat here again. read more
