    Fresh soups daily

Everything made in house. Fresh soups daily. Combine with a sandwich or a salad and not only do you have a reasonably priced lunch it is also a healthy one. Homemade breads = delicious. Seating available inside. The grilled BL&T was exceptional. The green chili pork stew delicious. The owner is friendly, helpful and knows how to make hearty and delicious soups. No real ambiance, its just freshly made soups, salads and sandwiches and that equals a good lunch in Fairplay any day. This is my goto lunch place when traveling along Highway 285.

What a perfect lunch joint on our way to Crested Butte! I got a classic grilled cheese (in sourdough) and tomato basil soup, and YUM! My husband got the meatball sub which he also said was really good.

Yummy grilled cheese with delicious Pueblo Pork Green Chili soup and Artichoke Jalapeno Parmesan soup

Great food! I love soup and sandwiches so this is a favorite for lunch to either eat in or get it to go!

The food was delicious. We ordered the broccoli cheddar soup, chili, chicken noodle soup and Italian sandwich. It was all very tasty.

Great local find soup and sandwiches. The homemade bread selection is also top notch. Be sure to check out South Park city museum nearby.

Not only is the food absolutely delicious, but they use premium-quality ingredients that really set them apart. The bread on their sandwiches is fantastic, and they've recently started using beef tallow for their French fries, chicken sandwiches, and wings which takes the flavor to another level. They also offer gluten-free options, making it a great choice for everyone. It's a smaller establishment, so be patient if there's a wait it's 100% worth it. The customer service is beyond what I've experienced at some high-end restaurants. While waiting for my food, I got to witness the teamwork and communication between the kitchen staff and front counter crew. These guys were hustling, working efficiently, and clearly taking pride in what they do. It was genuinely impressive to watch. Whether you're stopping in with friends and family or grabbing a meal solo, the atmosphere is welcoming, the music is great, and the overall vibe is positive and upbeat. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you can thank me later! And whatever you do, don't leave without trying one of their homemade ice cream sandwiches!

The place is small and seemed perpetually busy, so it took a while to get our food. But, there are also lots of interesting things to look at, so it wasn't bad. And the staff was very friendly I ordered the South Carolina BBQ sandwich, and we split an enormous basket of sweet potato fries. We liked that there was frosting to dip them in. My sandwich was good and generous; I only ate half, which meant that I got to enjoy the other half at another time. At first, we were not very impressed with the fries, but we managed to eat them all, so I guess they actually were good!

The main reason was their credit card equipment crashed, several of us had to use the stores ATM (being charged a total of $6ish in fees) and get back in the slow line. The area behind the counter was pretty dirty, not messy, but dirty. While in line people watched flies land repeatedly on our food while it was being made. When someone made a comment to their friend, one of the employees (the one in charge) said, "flies are normal, just like in your own home." There is some truth to that; however, there was little effort to prevent the problem or wave them away. The biggest issue I had was that the employee who prepared my sandwich did not change his gloves enough. I watched as he repeatedly touched not sanitized or non-food prep equipment and went back to making sandwiches. When it was my turn, I asked him if he would please change his gloves; he did.

And in this case, the food turned out to be every but as good as the better Subways I have frequented. I was pleasantly surprised as the kids sat in the back of the SUV chomping away at subs and slurping through plastic straws. No complaints from them means no complaints from me. They even asked the next day if we were going to be driving back through Fairplay so we could stop in at Subway again. That added one star to what I would have offered. Still, I also took off one star off for the overall condition and cleanliness of the gas station - convenience store - Subway combo.
