Seven of us met for lunch on a Thursday at noon. There was only one other customer in the restaurant. The reason? My guess is that the food was mediocre. The brisket was dried out and appeared to be less than fresh. The sandwich bun fell apart in my hands. The atmosphere and ambience is no better than average . The other entrées seemed to be similar to my sandwich. On the positive side, there's more than adequate parking and the business franchise has had a good reputation over many years. Yelp reviews are spot on 3.5 is pretty much it. Don't expect amazing Q...but it will do. I went for the Thursday special of $1.99 a rib and $2.99 for the sliders. Portions are okay and the food tasted okay. Service is great and friendly. Great fries, potato salad, sausage. The rest was nothing to note. We do catered lunches every Thursday. We have never done BBQ because most of the restaurants do not have a good veggie option for our non-meat eaters. We decided to try Brother's BBQ catering as they did offer a veggie option. It was a bit pricy but worth the expenditure. The delivery person set up everything and was super friendly. There was an abundance of food and by there end there was nothing left. We had the bbq chicken, pork and tofu. Then we had the beans (not veggie friendly), mac and cheese and salad. They bought buns if the employees wanted to make a sandwich. We also ordered the corn bread that was super moist and fell apart with a hint of sweetness. The part I treasured the most was the large variety of bbq sauces that each person could use to individualize their meal. I personally liked the sweet sauce and I thought the mustard was a fun change. This place will go into rotation for future meals. read more

There were multiple larger chunks of potatoes that weren't well mashed. The pulled pork was very tender. I got extra sauce, which is just a personal preference. Brothers BBQ came highly recommended, and overall, it did not disappoint. Service was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had the slider sampler, which contained one slider each of beef brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, and hot links. They were all really good, with the BBQ chicken and hot links being my favorites. They also have five different BBQ sauces on the table to try, which had some great flavors as well. The only negatives were that the pulled pork was on the drier side and the mac & cheese sauce was very thin and watery. I'm excited to try the cornbread the next time I'm in, as they were out of it when we were there. I got some banana pudding to-go, which I have yet to try, but I'm very excited. The mashed potatoes were in one of the plastic sample containers they use to give out ketchup, ranch or BBQ sauce. Very small, I felt really ripped off paying $17 for all that. Amending my 1 star review posted after spending $50 on a batch of pulled pork that was so dried out it was inedible without being doused in a bottle of sauce and mixed with 3# of baked beans. Spoke with Mike, who told me he was meeting with the Washington Street restaurant manager and kitchen manager to review their protocols and see what went wrong that day, then mailed me a gift card for the amount I spent which was recently redeemed. Noted a significant improvement, still a bit on the drier side, but was able to eat the pork without modification this time and there was actually grease residue in the pan, unlike last time when the pan was completely dry. Mixed it with beans and sauce again before seperating it into Tupperwares for my work lunches and it's better, no complaints. In years past it was a lot juicer, sometimes maybe a bit too much for most, but that's what I was accustomed to during the years I was down South and had pulled pork at least 3X weekly. I suppose it is healthier this way though. There are a few other BBQ places on my list to try, but as this place is so close to my house I'll give them another try soon. read more

I ordered one and had food for days. I'd say the brisket is my favorite item, though I vow to get the tofu next time. I've only had the tangy vinegar sauce, which is really good. Dinner was great but for 2 people, it was $45 so that seemed a tad too much, but oh well. There is plenty of parking so that was a big perk. We ordered brisket and burnt ends. The brisket was the bomb and the burnt end were good, but they were drowning in sauce which to me was inedible. I came home and wiped them off with a paper towel before I couldn't eat them and then they were delicious! Will definitely come back and I loved the sign out front. My office catered in Brothers for lunch so I got to sample quite a lot of the menu. - Pork Ribs: Tasty, tender, meaty. - Pulled pork: Fine, but not as good as the ribs. - Pulled chicken: The least flavorful of the proteins but not necessarily in a bad way. A nice lighter option. - Sweet BBQ sauce: Mmm. Thick, dark, sweet but not cloying, tangy, spicy. No complaints. - Baked beans: Unremarkable but I'm not much of a beans lady, so. - Mac & Cheese: Good! Not knock-your-socks-off, but perfectly satisfying. - Cornbread: Sooooo delicious. Moist, cake-like, and with a pronounced honey flavor that I really appreciated. - Banana Pudding: Enjoyable but you could totally make it at home on the cheap. Since I didn't pay for this I can't speak to value but I found this to be a hit-the-spot barbecue meal based on taste alone. I love BBQ. Whenever I move to a new city, I try out all the barbecue places. Brothers has been my favorite place for years. I have gone to all three of their locations in the Denver Metro area. My main place has been the original Brothers BBQ at Leetsdale and Monaco since 2000. The original sauce is still my all time favorite. But one time near the end of the pandemic and again this weekend, I was terribly disappointed in the food. I won't be back. We bought 6 pork ribs and a 1/4 pound each of brisket and hot links plus a double order of beans. The hot links were great. The beans were exceptional as always. The rest of the meal was terrible, just like my last order. The brisket was riddled with thick fat. The ribs were terribly fatty, too. We ended up throwing away 1/2 of the meal. We paid about $46 for 1/4 pound of hot links and 4 super fatty ribs and some beans. I have never minded the cost because the meals used to be so delicious. But this was awful. It's really too bad, but this was the last time for us. read more

Brothers BBQ in Cap Hill is a shining star of good food, consistent experience and exceptional staff. Likely a major reason this establishment has thrived and succeeded when others have not - especially in the New Normal. Tonight was just a simple pickup order of two sandwiches, with me being able to do a pickup order using a loyalty reward specific to my patronage through one of the delivery services. I was able to take advantage of a BOGO special and still apply my reward. As always, the order was ready when I arrived, and of course, completely accurate with great tasting food and the requested sauce. Appreciated the complimentary fries, that was a nice touch (Brothers' fries are amazing). Beyond that, just as always such a great customer experience. The food from the ribs and rib tips to the sandwiches and sides, all great. But what makes it great is friendly staff who truly care and have positivity. During the pandemic when distancing was a big deal, this location was my go-to for early evening dinners with friends - awesome outdoor patio. Like I inferred before, a lot of other dining establishments could take a lesson from how exceptionally well run this restaurant is in every way. Very appreciative - for the last few years especially and also tonight. Specific to the latter, I've had a few recent minor health issues and this was kind of an oasis in a good way. I order the pork sandwich with mac-n-cheese sides. Yes I know I have a bit of a mac-n-cheese addiction considering both sides are the same. Lol. Now getting on to the actual review. I have tried to find food BBQ out here that is the equivalent to traditional southern BBQ I'm used to; however, sadly this place has failed at that. I will start with the pork; the meat was not tender, nor held really any juicies in it. It tasted fairly dry and the only way I savored any flavor was because I drowned it in the sauce. The rule to good BBQ is you don't need any sauce for it to be good. Nor should you put more seasoning on it for flavor. However I had to on both accounts. The amount of meat was also a bit saddening. Other places make sure you get a good amount of meat; this place not so much. Now I did not realize you could mess up mac-n-cheese however they proved you can. It seriously had zero and I mean zero flavor. It tasted a bit like well the type of food you get at a cafeteria. The cups are also small for their delivery; although that's not their fualt at all. Its basically same size as all the others. I wasnt able to finish it because honestly it just wasnt that great; although my dog seemed to like it, so it wasnt a total waste. I shall stick to my normal BBQ place I found out here instead that's more similar to what I'm used to in the south. Granted only reason I even ordered from here was because my normal place was closed and it seemed to have okay reviews. Pro- delivery is quick, order correct, dog loves it, decent price Con- dry meat, barely meat, side had zero flavor, had to add more seasoning and sauce to the meat. read more

So so BBQ. Came in on a Sunday afternoon it was pretty dead. After looking over the menu I got pulled pork sandwich and Mac and cheese. The wait was short and the food was disappointing. The holder with all the sauce was not labeled so I didn't know what one was sweet or hot. Only after almost being done with my meal I noticed that the napkin holder had the break down. As for the actual food: the bun was not good it reminded me of the store brand buns that are a few weeks old. The pulled pork was soggy.
