    I have never ordered a Porterhouse steak before but I finally did and wow! You know a steak is good and cooked well when you don't need A1 sauce or to smother it in toppings! As it should be. Great flavor and nice char on the edges. I wish the loaded potato had its cheese melted a little bit more but it melted as I mashed it up. The cactus bloom was also very good! Nia was an excellent server! Super friendly and accommodating. She always made sure our glasses were full and that we had lots of bread!

    Hadn't been to a Texas Roadhouse in years! Wife was craving a steak to celebrate some exciting news and Roadhouse delivered! Service was fast, restaurant was clean, and food was great. From the bloomin onion to my full slab of ribs, everything was well seasoned and tasted fresh. Paying was easy using one the handheld devices. Place was busy for a random Monday night and deserving so as we will likely be back again based on the good experience.

    Me and the boys saddled up for a late night screening of Dune 2. With Texas Roadhouse being a stone's throw from the theater, we said what the hell, let's eat a big fat steak before the movie! Texas Roadhouse on a Sunday night was PACKED. I wasn't expecting to see the entire restaurant filled up. I hadn't been to one in about 5 or 6 years. Even though there was some confusion trying to get a table and sitting at the bar, it all worked out in the end. We ordered beers and appetizers at the bar before being seated at our table. I stuck with Shiner because it's a Texas beer that is reliable. Amber lager that's easy to drink and easy to please. Pair it with some apps and the legendary, freshly baked rolls and you're in a Texas-sized paradise. We filled up on way too many apps and bread. The bread kept coming and it's so difficult to refuse. I still wanted a steak and landed on the Ft. Worth Ribeye (12 oz.) with veggies and a loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked to my liking, fatty and fairly tender. One or two chewy pieces, but other than that I was feeling the meat sweats. Texas Roadhouse fully embraces the "go big or go home" mentality. Turns out they're a pretty well-oiled machine that takes the cake comparatively to similar big chain restaurants. I'm surprisingly looking forward to coming back and enjoying a steak and shiner!

    Our experience was 100% the best we ever had!! Ty was our waitress and she was beyond amazing!! Everything from our drink orders to our food selection. She made every step of our dinner outstanding!!! We will definitely be going back very soon!!

    The Peanuts are back!! Love this Northfield location of TX Roadhouse because the service is always friendly + efficient here. The complimentary Peanuts went missing during the pandemic but I am happy to report that they are back again now.

    The dinner rolls here are sooo good! I got a sirloin steak with green beans and a baked potato and everything came out cooked perfectly. Our server was very attentive even though the restaurant was very busy. It is a loud restaurant and they go over the top to make sure the whole restaurant knows if it's your birthday. If you are looking for a more intimate outing, I probably would choose somewhere else, but if you are looking for a good steak that won't break the bank I would recommend this place.

If I could give a 4.5, I would, I think that's right on the money. The drinks were nice, the food was good, and the service was great! There were some very minor things that could use improvement in the food-- but I'm being VERY critical. The server was bragging about how nice and "not tough" the octopus is, so we made sure to get that for an appetizer. But it came plated a little sloppy, and I felt it to be pretty tough (not chewy), just tough. But the steaks were a highlight! We shared the filet flight. All three were very very good. One person at our table was vegan, and they catered to her very well. Her entree of a vegan risotto was actually the most beautiful plate on the table, and had some excellent flavors! The duck fat fries earn an honorable mention. They have some sugar on them, so they're sweet-- very interesting, but delicious. All in all, I had a great time, and the service pushed it over the edge. And the food was very well done, too. I'll be back here for dinner, annually, but back for happy hour more often. Attentive, professional, and friendly without being intrusive. That set the tone for the whole meal. Most of the food was outstanding. The crispy Brussels sprouts with parmesan were perfectly charred and seasoned. The shrimp cocktail was fresh with plump, well-cooked shrimp. The hamachi crudo was bright and clean with a nice kick. The mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and real comfort food. A couple of small misses: The bread on my French dip was over-toasted and very hard, almost like a crouton, which made the sandwich difficult to eat. And the wait time for food was a little long for a lunch service. Still, the overall experience was terrific. They finished strong with warm chocolate chip cookies topped with sea salt that were truly amazing. I definitely recommend Guard and Grace. Despite two small issues, the quality of the service and most of the dishes make it worth a visit. I will be back.

They truly have some of the best cheeses ever. For the mains, I got the lobster tagliatelle and my partner got the lamb rigatoni. We also got smashed potatoes to share with cheese. I was hesitant to get the lobster dish because it's such a low chance that a lobster dish is actually going to taste as good because it's a very difficult dish to perfect but I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones I've had. The tomato base sauce with celery and chile with the lobster is the perfect combination. I do have to say a DISCLAIMER if you're not good with spicy food it's not for you. It has a pretty strong kick throughout the eating process so do not get it if you can't handle spice. Other than that, it's one of the most flavorful seafood pasta dishes I've ever had. I tried my partners lamb rigatoni and they truly perfected the rendering of it in the sauce and it's such a perfect overall dish with a good serving for rigatoni in general. If you're extra hungry, I would get the cheesy potatoes, they are perfectly crispy on the outside and nice and warm on the inside with the perfect amount of cheese and salt flakes. To close the night, we, of course, got the tiramisu which was very well made. Now, I have been to Paris and actually had it with the best cream on earth so it won't top that. However, it is a close second and probably the best I've had in America. I highly highly highly recommend you try it out. Bastien's ended up being exactly what we were looking for. The atmosphere is very old-school and welcoming. We weren't very sure how dressed up we needed to be, so I went with a casual button down and she wore a long skirt which made us over dressed compared to most in the restaurant. We saw everything from button-down shirts to T-shirts, shorts, hats, and flip-flops, so you can feel comfortable showing up however you want. We were seated upstairs, which ended up being a really cool space. With the string lights overhead and the circular room overlooking the dining room below. We started with a bottle of Oregon Cabernet Sauvignon, which was surprisingly reasonably priced for a steakhouse. It paired perfectly with our meal and was a great way to kick off the evening. For an appetizer, we ordered the roasted Brussels sprouts. They were prepared with an elote-inspired twist, featuring corn, onion, cotija cheese, and lime crema. I normally love Brussels sprouts, but this was probably the only miss of the evening for me. They weren't bad, just not something I'd order again. Every table also gets complimentary bread and butter. Nothing fancy, but it's always a welcome steakhouse tradition while you're waiting for your meal. For our entrées, my fiancée ordered the filet, and it was solid - perfectly cooked, tender, and probably my favorite steak of the night. Since it was my first visit, I wanted to try Bastien's signature 10-ounce New York strip with the famous sugar rub. I'm usually a filet person, but I wanted the full Bastien's experience. The sugar rub was fun to try. That said, if I had to choose between the two, I'd still take the filet next time. One thing that really sets Bastien's apart is the value. Every steak comes with vegetables (very small portion), your choice of potato, and your choice of soup or salad--all included in the price. That's almost unheard of at steakhouses these days. I had the loaded baked potato, which was excellent, while my fiancée ordered the mashed potatoes, and they were incredibly buttery and delicious. The value here is honestly second to none. Five stars for value alone. To top off the evening, the staff surprised us with a complimentary cheesecake for our anniversary. It was a really thoughtful gesture. Cheesecake isn't usually my first choice for dessert, and my fiancée isn't much of a cheesecake fan, so I ended up eating most of it--but I certainly wasn't complaining. It was delicious. If cheesecake isn't your thing, they also have other desserts available on the menu, but this one was a complimentary gift from the restaurant. Overall, Bastien's delivers exactly what it promises: a relaxed, old-school steakhouse serving quality food at prices that are becoming harder and harder to find. While we'll probably continue choosing some of Denver's more upscale steakhouses for milestone celebrations, Bastien's has earned a future visit from us. My steak was cooked to the correct temp (I ordered it rare), the broccoli was good, as was the baked potato. Overall, a delicious meal, I would absolutely come back (and maybe try one of their other steak preparations).
