This is about my third time at this location. Came in for lunch after watching The Last Rodeo movie at Harkin Northfield Movie Theatre which is walking distance (one minute). We were greeted and assisted by Stacey E. She was professional, super-friendly, attentive and efficient. She knows this business very well and gave us great recommendations and am glad she gave my friends the gluten-specific bowls and the gluten-free soy sauce (I didn't even know that existed). Also each Veteran in the group gets a military discount and it is a good idea to join their Loyalty Program for specials and discounts. It is so easy to choose all the meats, vegetables and sauces and it is easier to get two bowls instead of trying to fill one up with all the goodies. This is what I call fun food! Picture a salad bar. You walk in and pay one price for your meal. You could also order extras, such as appetizers and different desserts for an additional fee. I didn't do that. So I just ordered the standard meal and it was a bit pricey, to be honest. After paying, you go to the food bar take a bowl and tray and then start filling your bowl with all the good stuff. They have noodles, vegetables and various meats in the first bar. And then you move onto the second bar where you create your own sauce. They have a huge selection of various sauces and oils and herbs and spices. There is a menu at the top telling you how many ladles to use of each different ingredient to create various sauces. Or you could just go rogue and create your own. Fun, right?! I enjoyed that! The bowls are kind of small, in my opinion. But you can keep going back and creating new bowls as much as you want. So after fitting all your ingredients into your bowl, you take it to the Mongolian grill. The servers there grill your food and place it onto a plate. That's your dish! My mix was yummy! We love going to Hu Hot. This location has always been great for us. The staff is always really friendly and we tend to go on the weekend for lunch. They are great at re-filling any missing items. My husband and I came to this location for the first time today. We have visited other HuHot and had 5 star experiences, we were hoping for the same today, but we were also so wrong. To start off, we ordered wontons as an appetizer, in which I saw one of the workers running around the store to locate us. I tried to stop him to let him know where our table was and with his frustration, he just set them on the front registers where people are ordering their food. Gross. We then proceeded to collect our food and head to the grill, my favorite part of this experience are the eggs. I even double checked and looked at all of the options online, and eggs were still clearly an option. My husband asked if he could get 3 eggs please, and the young gentleman at the grill told us we don't have them anymore, they are not allowing us to order them. You would have to go to a breakfast place like Denny's. We're not sure what he was even talking about. Huge disappointment, I should've turned around there. The steak was so tuff, it's couldn't be broken and swallowed, the ham was turning gray??. I was scared to try any of the other meat options. I do have to say the vegetables were the only good thing today. They were fresh and the veggie bar looked great. We did complain to the lady at the register who came by to grab our plates. She said, Is everything going ok, I told her, "Honestly no, we are extremely disappointed and would leave, but we have already paid and need to eat." We are seeing a movie across the way in 30 minutes. I also asked her if the wontons were always burnt like that, is this normal. I pointed to them and she proceeded to tell me that she's told the cooks to turn it down on the cooking time, but they refuse to, she said they get sent back constantly.. Maybe someone should look into that? She didn't offer to re-cook or refund them for me. I have worked in the restaurant industry and if nothing else, I would have hoped she would've sent the managers over to speak with me. I wouldn't want my customers leaving unhappy. Almost feels like she was afraid. We figured we'd let it go, and just not return to this location. We were hoping to enjoy at least dessert before heading out, but that wasn't the case, your ice cream cones are left out in a big container all unwrapped where folks can rummage through them with there hands, no tongs, gloves or sanitary way of collecting one, Yuck...it looked exactly like that. I really hope these things can change, this location is a lot closer to our home, it could be fantastic with the right care.. They had a large variety of veggies, proteins, aromatics and sauces. There were 4 types of starches: chow mein noodles, yakisoba, pad thai noodles, and rice. I felt like I was being my own cook and deciding from my pantry on what I wanted in my dish and decided to do chow mein on my first round. I selected most of the veggies, and mixed imitation crab and pollock slices as my protein. Their house sauce before was full of flavor. The cooks stir fried it to perfection. They were quick and kept the line moving for others to place their concoctions on the grill too. The ambiance was loud and full of energy because it was out last day in Denver and we were travelling with a bunch of kids and parents who were excited to fly back home. It was entertaining to watch the cooks stirfry the dishes on a large, round flat iron grill, then clean the spot where your dish was cooked, and a new dish placed on the newly clean spot to be grilled. The chefs were efficient in moving the line of customers with their bowls to be cooked. I used the same sized bowl for the stirfry to fill up their soft served ice cream and topped it off with crushed peanuts and a cone for my dessert. Overall, the food was average. The guys at the grill were cooking patron meals too close together so half of my fresh egg got scooped away into another patrons' meal, and I got some veg and fish proteins from theirs. The four meals + one fountain drink we ordered were $76 (the total we got for our rewards in our HuHot app) yet noticed that they billed our credit card $95.05! My sis in law ordered a Mongolian meal plus fountain drink and yet was charged for a dessert she didn't get (again showing up in app so that we could double-check). We went yesterday for my nephew's birthday. He loves the place. Our food was good as usual. Place was clean and not too crowded. There were 9 of us and love that they have accommodations for us to sit without going through a whole process of pushing tables together. Our table assistant was Victor and he was GREAT. Very helpful and attentive. He was pleasant and fun. Cleared our dishes right away so that we had room to enjoy ourselves. He was on top of it! He offered to help take a group photo when he saw us posing and snapping selfies. Very friendly and made our experience better. I gave the trip a 4 out of 5 because I still miss having shrimp on the lunch menu. It's been a while but you used to have it. I still like the mussels and other seafood selections. My family and I were in the mood for mongolian food and had heard of Hu Hot, but had never eaten at one. So we decided to try it and it was, to say the least, a disappointing experience. The establishment wasn't too busy so we got seated immediately. The waitress came and took our drink order and then told us that we could go and get our food whenever we were ready. This restaurant is a buffet and had plenty of food options. You just stack on whatever you want and then hand it to the cook, where he will "cook" your food on a mongolian grill. Mind you, there was only one cook and he was cooking about ten peoples meals at the same time. I think this is where everything went wrong. I noticed my food was sticking to the grill and by the end he was having to scrape it off just to get it in the bowl. Remnants of my food was left on the grill. Once, I got back to my table the food was already cold and my group hadn't even gotten our drinks yet. As I ate more and more the noodles were sticky and chewy and the vegetables I got were hard. Overall, the meal was pretty bad. I understand that this is a buffet, but the price I paid for the outcome of my food is unacceptable. Maybe I'll try a different location later on. read more

I called ahead for a party of 12 and they said they could accommodate. They did. The issue was they didn't tell the lady up front where you pay. She didn't seem to know how to handle a large party. She rung myself, my girlfriend, my brother and his girlfriend up and led us to a table, leaving the rest of my party to wait and wonder what to do. I helped her move tables and chairs around. None of the other workers helped this small woman. She finally got the rest of my group sat down after about 10 minutes. The restaurant itself isn't anything special. Dull colors, and low ambience. The highlight of the restaurant itself is when they cook the food in front of you and that's only about five minutes of the whole time we're there. The line was short and the food was good. My cousin was especially disappointed because she told me when you yell "how hot?" They're supposed to yell "HuHot!" But only one lady (who was amazing) yelled it out. My cousin was embarrassed because the guy she asked didn't even yell it out. The cooks who make the food in front of us had a lot of attitude so we didn't tip like we usually would, plus the cook who she told she was going to yell "how hot?" Didn't say anything when she did. My wife and I had lunch at HuHot today and the staff was amazing! We were greeted at the door by Candi, who was smiling, energetic, and enthusiastic. She made us feel welcome and at home. It was very refreshing!!! When we got to the grill, Matthew, the certified trainer in the red shirt, also provided great service. He noticed the yellow allergen bowls my wife and I had and went to great lengths to ensure a safe dining experience for us. He too was smiling, energetic and enthusiastic. The overall experience here is a little confusing. There are lots of options to add to your bowl, but exactly how much of each to add is actually quite a science. Because the food you add obviously shrinks while it's cooked. Some of the foods shrink considerably. Some of the foods don't shrink at all so that's where the science part comes in or more than likely just visiting a few times. My suggestion is to add meat, seafood, etc. and as much of a quantity if not more than you want. I thought I added a considerable amount of meat and once cooked there is really nothing left in my bowl. I ended up with a lot more of the vegetables that i like but in large quantities. And what to do with the food and where to take it to be cooked and how you want cooked was a little difficult because the chef did not speak English. Well, that is fine, they should have signs that direct you where to place your food, where to pick it up, etc. Overall the food was good and I'll probably try it again with a better understanding of the restaurant and what to put in my bowl. The food itself was actually very good, it was all fresh prior to being cooked and cooked well. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff were hola what did you get? This was my first time here and I wasn't sure what to expect. Good news is they have a limited alcohol selection of beers and a few mini wines. You prepay for your meal and beverages. Then you are let loose to choose what is in your meal. You choose different noodles or rice, meats, veggies, etc. then you add sauces like ginger, spicy, soy, etc. They suggest minimum of six scoops of sấu because it tends to dry out on the grill. If you have allergies you get special bowls so they they recognize what you need. You walk up to the cooking area and they take all of your toppings and prepare them in the grill. It takes a few mins to get done but you critiques your own mixture and can make as many trips back as you like to get the meal you want. No highly accessible hand sanitizer or hand wash stations for before and after touching raw foods. I prefer more individual flavor to pre-mixed combo sauces. Potstickers were not good as an add on. We didn't see any salad bars or sides to accompany to stir fry which has been available other places like this. Barely missed the 2 for $25 special. That might be worth it, but at $25 per person... The manager Kadesha only refunds the portion with the hair in it. I never caused a scene just politely left. I submitted a review and got a call back that same day from the regional 303 877 2778. Who at first was very understanding and apologetic. He said he was out of town and to return the next day but text him my receipt. Well 5 days later after calling him and texting several times.
