Red Lobster has definitely stepped up their game since the last time I've been and since their new CEO took over (...it's been several years). I usually don't dine in at chain restaurants and try to stick to local spots, however, I was in serious need of a seafood boil. This southerner struggles with finding GOOD seafood and flavor out here in Colorado. I was very pleasantly surprised that the seafood boil and the drinks were incredible. We stopped in last night for the endless shrimp deal going on right now. I am a sucker for this deal every year. I love shrimp so much and this is such a great deal even though the price has increased each year. We waited a bit at the front for the host (which we found out they actually didn't have one) to seat us. Each server or the manager is basically seating people without a host. We were sat by the manager at the only open table that was bussed. he apologized and mentioned they don't have a busser. Our server Alyssa (I think that is how you spell her name) greeted us with a smile and great attitude. She took our order and was quick with refills on drinks and shrimp orders. Even while she is bussing the other tables, making drinks and pouring beers behind the bar and serving, she always had a smile on her face. Great employee and she was killing it even as understaffed as they were. The shrimp were good as always. I get shrimp scampi and more shrimp scampi. They have some new choices this time around to pick from. My husband tried them all and said they were good but the coconut shrimp is a great staple. I do think it sucks a bit that the endless shrimp used to come with a salad AND a side. Now you get 1 side and it can be a salad. Kind of surprising because you would think the sides are cheaper and fill people up more so they eat less shrimp. Lol, but I could be wrong. Overall good experience. I have visited this Red Lobster for many years. Recently, I was saddened to learn that a bartender, Israel, who had been there for 12 years was so frustrated to have walked out and never come back. The restaurant has many issues, including blank spots in the ceiling where stained ceiling tiles have been removed, but never replaced. I don't know what ALL of the issues are, but you know they are bad when a bartender who took care of me for 12 years walks out! I know they were struggling financially, but seem to have turned that around enough that no additional closures have been announced. So stop taking away things that people LIKE! Recently I learned that they completely discontinued their Mussels appetizer, which was a main draw for me once or twice a year. Their mussels were always a good size, and the sauce they were servied in DELISH. Very sad that they are no longer offered. The rest of the seafood on the menu is OK. Shrimp, lobster, and crab cooked adequately, and an OK value if not a great one. I usually go in alone, and sit at the bar to eat, and the service is usually good. read more

Okay first off the server waiter was rude and very disrespectful to me and my girlfriend in a big way. He respected father in law and brother in law but not me or my girlfriend. He made us wait 20 minutes for refills on our drinks and treated us very poorly. The food was good but the lobster that we had ordered was a rip off in a big way for they cut half the lobster meat off my order and got a flat piece of lobster meat that was cooked beautifully but no substance to it. They gave us a ton of shrimp and a good amount of crab legs but really felt unwelcome at this location. This has become a favorite neighborhood restaurant since so many others have closed. The food at this restaurant is great, and the prices are fair. The service team is outstanding; pleasant, caring and helpful. The manager is on-site and making sure things run smoothly. They even have a large room for big groups. This is my first visit to this location in Aurora. The outside of the restaurant was clean. Inside soft music was playing. It's Lobsterfest! They offer a large selection of lobster centered entrees plus other seafoods + salads, handhelds, pasta. They have good choices of wines and beers. This time I had a Triple Berry sangria, a jumbo shrimp cocktail with cocktail sauce, a caesar salad with their very tasty crunchy outside/soft inside Cheddar Bay biscuits. For my entree, I tried their new Stuffed Flounder with a buerre blanc cream and topped with Maine & langostino lobster. The sangria was great and the food fulfilled my urge for seafood. The only flaw was that the only way to enter the location is east bound on Alameda Ave (just east of Havana). Because of a road berm, you have to go east on Alameda to leave and find another way to go west. read more

Called back and they asked me to hold and hung up on me. Called a 3rd time and FINALLY they brought out the food. Came home (less than 5 minutes away) and the bottom of the bag was saturated. I'm shocked it didn't give out while bringing it in the house. The food was cold, got zero cheddar biscuits and my husband had a "pinch" of fries. Asked for no tomatoes on my side salad and I'm pretty sure I had a half of a tomato chopped in there. Not a positive experience at all. After heating up the food was good. Went to Red Lobster today for Two for One Meals for Teachers The Waitress, Diana, was phenomenal with her suggestions on food. I had the Salmon with a baked potato, a Caesar salad and Clam Chowder. The Salmon was Tender, Moist and Extremely Delicious Highly Recommend it! I couldn't even finish it. I also ordered the fried shrimp to take home. if I could give a zero or a -5 I would. Let's start with the food. The coleslaw was very spoiled. not just a day (little bit spoile) but rancid spoiled. The waitress didn't seem to care or feel bad. She was just going to get me another one. I was completely grossed out and didn't want a replacement so I got a backed potato instead. The waitress from the very beginning was absent. It took forever to get one and then after our drinks came it took forever to order our meals. When I tasted my coleslaw it took forever to let her know it was spoiled I was charged fully for everything and again it took the waitress to forever to stop out our table to question the fee and to pay. I went to the host who sent me to the manager. The mama said he would take care of it. He too took forever and only took the cost of iced tea off which was a slap in my face. Again they didn't care that their food was spoiled. If it was dinner time and if the restaurant was busy I could understand the wait but there was one 3 other tables and one of the waiters was always seen and taking care of his tables. Is it possible to give a 0? I am a very nice person and don't like to write mean things because I do work in customer service. We ordered from Red Lobster at 7:30 pm on Saturday, May 4 and I received confirmation that my order was being prepared and would arrive between 8:05-8:15 pm. I waited all day for a big dinner because my boyfriend works on the weekends and he gets home around 7 pm. He worked a 13 hour shift or so and came home and then I placed the order on Grubhub with my information and my money. We kept receiving notifications that the order is just being delayed and will arrive 15 minutes later and then another 15 minutes later. I am a very patient person so I'm reading these notifications on my phone like oh okay. I'm okay with it being late. I understand. We were at the dog park to kill time. We spent a good hour at the dog park. It was about 9 pm. I called Grubhub to ask about the notifications. I also asked if I can get my tip back because I tipped 20%. The Grubhub rep put me on hold to check and then a minute later I get an email that the restaurant cancelled my order. Wow so now I'm not getting any food! Lol. I thought they were just super late! The Grubhub rep comes back on the line and says the restaurant was having some issues... I couldn't be mad at the Grubhub rep Randy though because he was just the middle man. In fact, I took a survey for him after the call and gave him a 5/5 because I know what it's like to work in customer service and to be the bearer of bad news. I definitely put my number in the notes so there was a way for Red Lobster to contact me. We were very disappointed that this happened with Red Lobster. I used to respect it as some high end or fancy seafood place. Nah it's far from that. They could've cancelled the order right after I placed it and it would've been fine. They waited 1 hour and 30 minutes to cancel the order with Grubhub. I've never had a failed order with Grubhub. All other restaurants have always been smart enough to understand my orders and always on time or early! The other restaurants never missed any detail. Never order from Red Lobster. read more

I was visiting my friend in Denver, and we'd talked earlier in the week about wanting to get seafood. We were out running errands when we passed by Red Lobster, so we decided to go in. We decided to share the Admiral's Feast. It looked great, with the different kinds of shrimp, lobster tail and crab legs. However, we found that it was all very salty. The crab legs (always a personal favorite of mine) were overcooked or something; the cracker didn't crack the shells as sharply as it should have, and the meat inside seemed a bit rubbery. The shrimp scampi was just overly salty. Not much more can be said about that. The fried shrimp was ok -- just ok. The server was ok, but she gave much better service to her friends who were sitting across from us, spending lots of time visiting at their table. I would't come back to this location, but I won't rule out others in the chain. read more

Early supper for us and the restaurant is full of senior citizens. So sweet! Our server was Nathan and he was prompt, courteous and pleasant. We ordered our meals and some decent Cabernet and our crisp salads were brought out swiftly in chilled bowls. The nominal basket of hot, fresh cheddar biscuits were garlicky and delicious. Our plates came out a little later than expected, but it was worth the wait!!! We both ordered the salmon, lobster and shrimp with broccoli and one side so hubby had potatoes and I chose green beans. OH MY LORD! Everything was cooked to absolute perfection and garnished with big, chunky garlic pieces and herbs in a butter sauce. I was so blown away by how wonderful everything was prepared and tasted, I felt I was in a 5-star hotel in Vegas or New York. The salmon and shellfish were grilled over wood fire and not chewy or overcooked as is usual at many chain restaurants. The salmon was succulent and I ate everything with extreme pleasure. Oh, I forgot to mention the broccoli was bright green and hot and crispy, just the way it should be and the green beans were haricot verts sautéed excellently with roasted tomatoes and were crispy and heavenly!!! I am a absolute sea food lover !! I've dined in here recently and my experience was great. There were variety of options to eat. Lobster fest is what was going on when we visited and enjoyed their seafood stuffed mushrooms, lobster bisque it was so delicious. Moving to the entree we had Wood-Grilled Lobster, Shrimp, and Salmon and Dragon Shrimps both the dishes were too good. Dragon shrimp has become one of my favorites in Red Lobster and i would come back for it again. Sea food was well cooked the portions were generous. All their items were rich in taste and truly appetizing. Ambiance and atmosphere was pleasant, service was really great, server was friendly, prompt and pleasant. They have large parking area. The only reason not to give 5 stars is - while we were having food, rest of their staff was cleaning and sweeping the restaurant around our table which i really didn't like. I think they should have waited till we could have left the restaurant. hence this improvement is much needed as no one will like staff cleaning the restaurant while someone is having food. What can I say? This has always been me and my son's favorite restaurant for their food and their drinks and this location was no exception. This is a great location with lots of parking. Our server, Isreal, was awesome! Very friendly, professional and attentive. Our favorite drink, Sunset Passion Colada, was delicious as well as the food.
