Uprating to 5 stars. We've gone back multiple times with wonderful experiences. Thursdays are lobster taco night and my husband loves the carne asada plate on Wednesday nights!

Love the atmosphere at North County. You've got a cute little spot for outdoor seating and an open indoor space. Food is fantastic. It's been a while since I've had tamales and if this is what I've been missing out on then shame on me because they had me drooling. There was no crumb left behind. Service was great and attentive until we were trying to leave. Took a while for the check and to pay, but overall was pleased with our experience.

We had a fine time at North County. We were seated really quickly and the waiter had no problem with our party showing up at different times. We had items from the late Night menu which included items for $3. The $3 margaritas packed a punch! The food was average. Good, but not over the top. I'd suggest this place if you are in the Lowry area meeting up with friends for a quick meal. The ambiance is fun and light. We enjoyed our experience. The service was the best overall in our experience.

This place has a great happy hour and solid food! We have been several times and have tried many of the appetizers on the happy hour menu, all of which have been good. This visit, we had -Nachos ($7.25 during happy hour): they come loaded with toppings and are layered to distribute the toppings nicely. We tried them with roasted chicken on one and chicken tinga on the other, and the tinga was slightly better. -Charcoal grilled oyster: just okay, would skip this next time. It had a lot of poblanos on it but still managed to be a bit bland -Baja chicken sandwich: this was great. The breading was very light but crispy, and the spicy slaw and creamy aioli worked very well together. The fries that came with it were also very crispy and were pretty good. -Build-your-own burger with pepperjack cheese, pickled onions, and candied bacon: the patty was cooked to medium and was well-seasoned. The service was quick, and they have a cute patio area. Overall, the food was good and the prices were very reasonable. They have daily seafood specials, which we plan to try next time.

An unassuming taco spot, in the seemingly middle of nowhere, almost thought we were in the wrong place ... though it's basically around the corner from Wings over the Rockies. I cannot say enough about this place. Great atmosphere with thoughtful decor. Wonderful and knowledgeable servers, drinks on point and oh the food! I'm still dreaming about the ceviche. I've had a lot of tacos in my day, but this place is really special. Don't skip the dessert, the Fried Plantains & Ice Cream are a perfect ending! I hope we get the chance to go again someday.

North County has great Happy Hours throughout the week! One of my favorite places to meet friends for good food and a fun atmosphere. The prices are on point and friendly service. If you need a casual and easy spot to hang out, consider North County. There is plenty of parking as well.

I've always wanted to check out this revamped area of the AFB I used to work at years ago. I passed by the establishments when i went to other establishments there and I was in the neighborhood last night and i finally made the plunge to try the food. It was a pleasant experience. I had their big bowl with carne asada and was definitely determined to eat it all and it was so good i achieved my self style challenge. The margaritas I had were tasty as well. The only thing I didn't like was i initially wanted their enchiladas dish with carne asada but they said the beef will be put on top of the enchiladas and not inside. I couldn't fathom eating it like that but I'll guess I'll try it next time. The service was great and questions answered without attitude. Also a great spot for Pokémon.

Overall, a good experience. We were seated fairly quickly but once the food came our waitress didn't come back for a long time. Hubby tried to order a local beer on draft but she advised us that they didn't have any as they were leaning more towards "California" cuisine. Their Saturday special was crab and shrimp enchiladas and they were very creamy and cheesy. Very little crab meat inside. Ahi tuna bowl - was good. Tasted like any other. Kid nachos consist of just cheese Nacho appetizer are a good portion for one or a shareable appetizer. A pro is that they have EV chargers.

Coming on a Wednesday night for date night and we didn't need a reservation. Being from Southern California this is very decent California Mexican food (not traditional Mexican food). Love the theme of the restaurant - very beachy and reminds me of home!! They have indoor and outdoor patio seating, we were seating almost immediately. Our server was on top of it! Bringing out our drinks and food very quickly! It all tasted quick good and had delicious flavor. I did take off one star because of the the strange fees along with the lack of chips and salsa. That is pretty standard for a Mexican restaurant. Overall I would come back! 4/5 stars

North County is in Lowry in a plaza next to other restaurants and a nice area. It's a restaurant based out of San Diego. I came on a Monday night and it was pretty empty. I heard about their late night menu and was excited to try! Service was good. I felt like we were taken care of well. Our waitress was attentive and kind. We started off with the Queso Fondido without the chorizo since my company is vegetarian. It was fine, I liked the burnt cheese that was at the bottom. However, it didn't feel like it was anything special. It was a bit plain. We got the three dollar margaritas off of their late night menu. Although they're small portions they do pack a punch. The value for what you get it pretty great. I got two tacos. The birria taco and the mahi mahi taco. The birria taco was fine, again, nothing special and I've had better at plenty other places. The mahi mahi was better though. It had a good sauce that compliments the fish well. Overall, it was fine. Nothing that would make me want to return other than the $3 margaritas.

Our gym is right across the street so we popped in for lunch last Saturday and it was delicious! Quiet and kinda tucked in the corner, this place had a fun SoCal beachy vibe to it. The service was great and our waiter was super nice. We each got a taco platter. I had calabasitas, fish, and pastor. My husband had birria and I can't remember what else. All of it was super tasty except the pastor. I found that to be very dry and not enough pineapple. The birria was yummy and cheesy. I think I had snapper. It was delicious as well. We will definitely be coming back

I came with a few friends and it was a fun experience to try. You start off by ordering with the waitress and then the subsequent rounds, you order off the QR code that's at the table. The restaurant was pretty busy so we had to wait longer than we wanted to place an order. As far as the food, it felt more like baos and dumplings, not so much the classic dim sum styled foods. Another con was that the menu had so many non available items-items that would have completed the dim sum experience a little better. If you want actual dim sum, go somewhere else. It was fun for the experience and value, so I was glad we came once.

Table next to us says they only come for lunch and feel like they only serve the more wanted items for dinner and just say they are "out" because they've NEVER had it. If that is true, it is highly disappointing. AYCE is 18.99 per person. Here is what we were able to order: 1. Scallion Pancake- good crisp! I liked how light and delicious this bite was 2. Crab Cheese Wonton- these were HOT in terms of temp, but 99% cream cheese so it was okay. 3. Chili Oil Wonton: loved the flavor, however skin was a bit tough, didnt steam long enough. 4. Chicken Wing- very very dry, comes without any sauce or seasoning so its on the side. 5. Pork Bun- a bit dry, but it had a savory flavor too it, not as sweet. 5. Chasu Bun- loved this one more than the 6. Pork Dumpling (did not have Beef)- it was okay, filling was decent, but again the wrapper had a weird bite to it. 7. Soup Dumplings: definitely better than the other dimpling, however they all stuck to the bottom so the wrapper ripped and I never tried the soup. 8. Chicken Feet: i normally love chicken feet but the braised sauce was underwhelming and not very...good? flavorful? 9. House Noodles: the noodles tasted a bit off. Green beans tasted and looked can to me. It just wasn't a favorite. Desserts: 1. Mango was very artificial. 2. Mocha was good, nice chocolatey taste Overall...I dont know if I would be back. I had such high hopes to try the spareribs, taro buns, golden lava buns, beef dumplings, lotus bun, sticky rice, etc. But they were all "out". Again...for an AYCE place at lunch it was $42 before tip and it would've been nice to have the full menu array. The ambiance is very bright and large screens, so it can definitely capture your attention. There was only one main server and she was doing her best.

Our group tried a number of different things at his advice, and it was all so good. It's really hard to find good oysters Rockefeller in this area being so far from the ocean, but water Grill has it down! We ended up ordering an additional plate of them because they went so fast. We also got the raw oyster platter with a few from different coasts, and Matt gave us the full rundown of where each one could be traced to and what the differences were generally. And within the last few years they redid their dessert menu which upped their game even more. Specifically my husband, daughter and I went here for my husband's birthday recently and it was as good as ever. I always get the blackened catfish. They used to serve it with dirty rice, so I like to add an extra side of this. The red beans and rice that they currently serve it with are delicious, but I don't feel the flavors pair as nicely with the blackened catfish. My husband always orders the chopped salad with fried crawfish. He likes it with the creamy vinaigrette it comes with AND blue cheese dressing. Our waiter accidentally put in an order for a Cobb Salad instead of the Chopped, so when he brought it out we were confused at first. Then we all realized the mistake. He let my husband keep the Cobb while the kitchen hurried to make him his Chopped that he ordered. I've never had their Cobb Salad before but it was really good! The dressing they serve it with tastes a little like a Russian or Catalina dressing, but leveled up--it is delicious. I still prefer the Chopped salad, but the Cobb was still very good. My main complaint is that it's served deconstructed. My daughter got the Pasta Mardi Gras. It was very good too. She realized half way through that there was a lot more sauce on the bottom, so make sure to mix it up well to get all the flavor. My daughter ordered a strawberry lemonade and it was very tasty. HOWEVER, they filled the glass to the brim with ice, so there wasn't a lot of strawberry lemonade in the glass. When she ordered a refill (which you pay a discounted price for) we commented on how much ice there was in the first one and the waiter agreed there was too much and ordered light ice for the refill. I suggest you do this from the beginning. For my husband's complimentary birthday dessert, he ordered the crème brûlée and it was honestly one of the best I've had anywhere. I usually order the key lime pie for dessert here, which is amazing. The one thing I feel they should improve on is the complimentary bread they serve as an appetizer. It tastes like the bread you pay a dollar a loaf for at Walmart. Come on Pappadeaux, you can do better than that! How about bread and dipping sauce along the lines of Carrabbas? Maybe with a Cajun bent to the dipping sauce? That would be more in line with the quality of your food.
