WOW!!! Amazing food top tier customer service. We came in later into the evening and they were not busy so we had the chance to talk to the owner Chef TK himself. He is amazing and passionate! Hands down best seafood I have had in a very long time. I live in Texas and came to this location solely off the reviews on Yelp. I highly recommend giving this place a try, it lives up to the hype. I spent 40% of my visit encouraging TK to bring business to Texas !!! Hopefully he opens a location in DFW SOON!!! read more

I cannot believe it took me so long to come and try their food. Everything was so delicious! This will be my go to "soul food" place, but really I only eat the chicken Alfredo and spicy mac n cheese. A lot of people are saying it was over seasoned but I'm from down south and their food was perfectly seasoned, I just think yall not use to the flavor. I will definitely be back! read more

here's a shoutout to one of my absolute favorites: Tk's surf and turf which is Denver's first Black-owned seafood restaurant. And let me tell you... it hits every time. From their secret sauce to their many banana pudding flavors, this place is always a win. PLUS, their customer service? 15/10. The team is so welcoming, they make you feel like family! What I tried (over three visits this year ): Top Sirloin Steak Lobster Tail Crab Clusters Lamb Chops Garlic Mashed Potatoes Spicy Mac & Cheese Broccoli Strawberry Banana Pudding Cookies & Cream Banana Pudding Caramel Apple Banana Pudding Several flavors of Calypso Lemonade Best Bites: Get the secret sauce! Use it to dip your steak, crab, lobster, shrimp... it takes everything to the next level. The spicy mac & cheese? SPICY. But SO SO SO SO good. (Four "so's" feel necessary.) The banana pudding? Specifically the cookies & cream is to die for. Honestly, everything is packed with so much seasoning. My tastebuds go on a full journey with every bite. If you haven't been yet... GO. GO. GO. GO. Oh my GAWD what a great place! Wifey and I got the Works plate and it was stacked w goodies: 1 lobster tail, shrimp, sausages, and a crab cluster. The seasoning was excellent. Also took home apple and caramel pudding as well as strawberry pudding and kids loved it. The place also has feel good, social justice vibes to it. Owner was very friendly and we saw her visit every table. The young man behind the counter was terrific - friendly and patient with our order. read more

What's there to say! This place is great!! Food is absolutely delicious. The staff were so kind and patient with us. It's an order at the counter place, md the space is very small. Not the best for large groups. The drinks are all bottled from the fridge and for purchase, so understand you won't be able to just get a cup of soda or free water cup. Definitely hoping to come again! read more

I would go to TKs every day if I could. From the seafood, to the sides, to the deserts, not a single thing left us disappointed. Don't leave without getting yourself some Banana pudding! Everything was fresh, seasoned perfectly and obvious it was cooked to perfection. The staff was enthusiastic and extremely inviting, making it so obvious that this is a family run business. Good food obviously comes at a price, but I wonder if they could appeal to more crowds if their prices were a bit more fair. read more

The staff is absolutely phenomenal here. The nicest and most organized people. The shrimp, lobster, spicy mac and cheese, and rice are to die for. They season their food super well and I don't think it's too spicy but my in laws did. Their secret sauce on the side goes well with everything. It's always very very clean and the inside is super cool too. A local business that I respect their mission and visit whenever I have a shellfish craving. I'm gf and can't have the banana pudding but my partner and my mom have said it's ridiculously good too. The only thing I wish is if they'd source a gluten free bun from Blue Hummingbird Bakery for their lobster roll like a few other places around the Denver metro do. read more

These are hands down the best crab legs I've had in Colorado! The TK's special sauce really takes them to another level. It's absolutely magnificent, packed with bold, rich flavors that complement the crab perfectly. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and you can tell they know exactly what they're doing when it comes to seafood. I also tried the Alfredo, and it was super tasty and flavorful as well. The sauce was creamy and delicious, although it was a bit on the oily side. Still, it didn't take away from how much I enjoyed the dish. For dessert, I had the banana pudding. It was good, especially if you have a serious sweet tooth. For me personally, it was a little too sweet, but I still think it's definitely worth trying if you love sweet desserts. The owners are really great people, you can tell they care about their customers and the quality of their food. They provide excellent service and made the whole experience even better. My only complaint is that the place was packed and really hot inside. It's great to see them doing so much business, and they absolutely deserve it, but there were far too many people for comfort, and it was hard for some customers to find seating. That said, it's a small issue compared to how amazing the food and service were. Overall, if you're looking for incredible seafood and a welcoming atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

I love tk's! I've went with my friends one time just because we were in the area, but have since been back 3 times and even took my parents! The food is just so damn good. Visited TK's Surf & Turf Kitchen while in Denver and really enjoyed it. The food came out steaming hot and fresh, and full of flavor. The first time I went to this restaurant which was around the time they originally opened, I was pleased and excited. I've brought a few family members here who came in from out of town on a few different occasions. In the past I ordered the shrimp, steak, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. The shrimp Alfredo was also good. I've been back at least five different times since they first opened and I have to admit the quality of the food has changed a whole lot. I noticed things changed but I continued to come back to support the business. The last three times I went the food was a little too salty to my taste which made it not enjoyable and I wasn't able to complete my meal. This time I ordered the lamb chop alfredo and my son had the shrimp alfredo, both meals were salty. After this recent visit, I decided that I probably wouldn't return. Customer service was good read more

5 stars for the taste and friendly staff! My daughter and I had shrimp Alfredo and steak and crab. Huge portions! Alfredo was so rich and flavorful. Crab was cooked to perfection with awesome seasoning. Steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli were so good! It is somewhat of a different setup that I wasn't expecting. You don't have a waiter, plastic utensils, not very spacious, but it seemed like they do a lot of takeout. The food was good enough to give 5 stars in my opinion! read more

Definitely has the potential for a 5 star! The corn was absolutely delicious with the spices and butter. I couldn't really tell if the garlic mashed potatoes were like half from a packet and half real but they were good nonetheless. The lobster and crab - loved the flavoring, just maybe cooked a bit better because when it's cooked perfect, as soon as you crack them, the meat comes right out. Wasn't the case this round but will definitely try again! Fair prices for what seafood is going for nowadays. Friendly service! Good amount of seating. Chill vibe. read more

Treated myself to TK's signature plate, "The Works" for my birthday which came complete with shrimp, lobster, 2 crab clusters, & beef sausage. I chose the mashed potatoes and corn for my sides. While crab is usually my favorite, it was the lobster that stole the show here. It was so good! The mashed potatoes were pretty standard, and the corn was really good, just be ready for some spice. I finished the meal with their strawberry banana pudding which was perfection. The service... the staff was so friendly that I'll definitely be back! read more

Food is delicious, it sucks that I can't really eat here anymore, do to a health condition I can't really do spicy foods !! I am from Alabama, and I know good . This place was always my go to when I didn't feel like cooking . Only advise ( note, I'm being selfish) can we get a non spicy version of the Mack and cheese !! . Again the Mack and cheese is really good, and it's not crazy spicy, I just can't eat spicy foods anymore! read more

I brought my cousins here to try it and see how good it is compared to juicy seafood. Now, juicy seafood is definitely bigger on the inside compared to this place. Juicy also brings your seafood out in bags.. but let me tell you!!! This place right here... TK's is definitely filling and the food just MMM MM MMMMM!! The chef definitely puts his heart in it. Outstanding flavors of seafood, great portions, and it comes in a pan! Another seafood spot that doesn't treat you like a pig by spilling on the table! I have to also say, their desserts are just yumm!! A great way to finish the mean fr! We couldn't finish our food but we did take it home and finished it later! I kinda wanted to gate keep this place but it's already been on TikTok so it's impossible to do so. read more

Unassuming first off! Hospitality reminds me of the deep South US. I chose the Lobster and Crab with mashed potatoes, and broccoli. Others in the party Salmon and crab and chicken Alfredo. We were offered bibs luckily!! The service was great and TK's mom came over to greet us! Bonus! We brought a friend from Atlanta who loved the chicken Alfredo which I tasted and it was well seasoned and full of chicken and a penne pasta. I also enjoyed the potatoes and what was broccolini! Yum! The crab, lobster and salmon left us nearly speechless! Run don't walk to this spot! read more

Our total came out to be $78. We ordered the works and a side of corn and rice. The rice was an additional charge. It was very spicyyyy. It said it would be ready at 5:30pm but we ended up getting to the place earlier and received the food at 5:25pm instead. Not crowded when we went. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. I was greeted right away when I walked in. Not sure why they asked for my identification card tho when I already input my card when I placed the order online. It was quite expensive read more

Great homestyle welcoming (everyone greats you as soon as you walk in the door), it's clean, staff explains the menus to you which has your mouth watering. Will definitely be returning. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Did an amazing job. Ordered the steak and shrimp with Mashed Potatoes and Broccoi. Hearty, yet healthy. The steak and shrimp were cooked perfectly and was a solid portion that left enough for take home dining. Definitely a spot you don't wanna miss when in Denver, and it's Black owned and family ran. This is the kind of place that you want to go to when you have an appetite! Servings are large and most of the entrees are pretty big. I got the crab and lobster, jolof rice, and asparagus. All really yummy! The secret sauce they have was definitely one of my favorite parts of it all. I don't know what they put in there, but it's delicious. In addition to this, this place is expensive for obvious reasons. Seafood in Colorado should always be taken with a grain of salt, haha. The food was good though, friends said that quality of seafood could have been better, which I agree with. The best part of this place was the service! Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful. I have a feeling that TK's is going to need to find a second location or find a bigger space with all the customers that they've been getting. read more

We will be back. My husband and I do a double date night with friends and this was the pick for this month, October '25. The food was delicious! It was seasoned well (hope you like butter) with generous portions. We tried the crab roll, lobster roll, King Crab legs, and the steak. Both rolls were stuffed with meat and the rolls were nicely toasted. My friend devoured her 2 clusters of legs in no time. For sides we got the spicy mac, jollof rice, and corn. There was plenty to share, the jollof rice was good but a little spicy if you are sensitive to that. The inside was very clean and looks well maintained. It did look small from the outside but there were plenty of seats once you stepped inside. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. Overall it was a great experience and this place will be going on my recommendation list. read more

A REAL REVIEW: I'll start by saying this review is for my fellow black ppl WHO ARE NOT FROM DENVER because I'm afraid that these reviews are fluffed with ppl who are either not black or from Denver. This is the most average food I have ever had. If you went into your kitchen with the exact same ingredients you would get what they provided me today. Steak-chewy and they used the exact same flavor profile as they do for their seafood. That's a choice. Lobster-overcooked. Corn-average tasting corn. heavy butter and paprika Jollof rice-Dry. Spicy but not rich in flavor like jollof is supposed to be. I took 2 bites and knew I was done. Not worth the up charge and I would never get it again quite frankly. Broccoli-steamed with absolutely nothing on it. Not even a punch of salt. I tried to rub it around in the seafood sauce and it tasted like oily broccoli. No flavor picked up only the butter??? That's not how it's supposed to be. I'm used to seafood sauce being an actual sauce blend. When i eat theirs it's like I'm tasting the butter and seasonings separately like they don't cook them together or something. Never knew that was possible Crab-didn't even waste my time trying because everything else was so average I knew it would be too Secret sauce?? Once again it's butter. I paid $3 extra for butter Now assuming this is a black owned joint I'll end by saying still support them. But go in with average expectations and also order with your gut. I'm so glad I didn't try the Mac n cheese. Everyone with sense knows Caribbean joints have the worst Mac & cheese and the pictures alone are proof. This is typical of Denver. The food here is largely unappetizing so when there's a restaurant that offers the slightest sense of flavor ppl go nuts and swear it's the best thing since sliced cake. But you have been warned. This place would get talked about bad in Chicago. 3 stars is the highest I could give with a good conscience. read more

Drove 45 minutes after reading the reviews. Was absolutely worth it. Every dish was amazing. Highly recommend.

I've been tipping employees on my card for months thinking they were getting the full amount, but apparently they don't receive the credit card tips--only cash and I'm very sure that's illegal to withhold credit tips from the employees. That feels super unfair. If you eat here, I recommend tipping in cash so the people actually serving you get what they earned. read more

My wife and I have had meals from TK's many times since 2022. She is a life-long seafood lover from Maryland. Her standards are high. Colorado being a land-locked state doesn't make it easy to satisfy her tastebuds. You had better believe that TK's meets--even exceeds--her expectations. The food is prepared well and is endlessly rich with flavor. Better yet, the recipes seem to be refined and improved, so it just keeps getting better. Other reviewers claim that it is over-seasoned, and I can only assume that they routinely devour mayonnaise on Wonderbread. I found the atmosphere to be wonderfully convivial, even while waiting in line. I would strongly dispute any claim that the restaurant feels unfinished or seems unwelcoming. Now, I am just a white guy from lowa, so I don't have a refined palette when it comes to seafood. We lowans subsist on corn-fed corn. My wife is a Black Marylander. This is the first seafood restaurant not physically located within sight of an ocean that she has approved in all the years we have been together. It gets her official Maryland Seal of Approval. read more
