5-Star Service, 2-Star Salmon, 3-Star Math We rolled into Bonefish at 6 PM on a Saturday and the place was jumping--well, half of it was. The dining room was packed to the gills, yet the bar area was strangely deserted, looking like a ghost town in the middle of a party. We started with some cocktails (the wine list is a bit of a short read, by the way) and the legendary Bang Bang Shrimp. Sadly, it was more of a 'Whimper Whimper Shrimp' this time--smaller and less crunchy than the glory days. Our server, Christophe, was the MVP of the evening. Friendly, efficient, and professional--honestly, he's the only reason this isn't a one-star review. He was great; the kitchen, however, seemed to be having a rough Saturday night. My wife and our friend both ordered the salmon, which arrived looking like it had spent a bit too much time under the heat lamp. It was overdone and definitely didn't taste 'fresh off the boat.' Our friend Bill had a seafood pasta dish that looked... well, let's just say it didn't inspire envy. I opted for the Butterfish, which was cooked nicely, but was remarkably flavorless despite being bathed in an Asian sauce. Overall, a solid 3-star experience. Came in for Happy Hour and it was top-notch from start to finish! On Wednesdays, for a limited time, the delicious Bang-Bang Shrimp is only $7! We were immediately seated and our server, Breonna T., was very friendly, attentive and efficient. We ordered from the Happy Hour menu and started with the cocktail menu first. We ordered the Mango Bourbon Sour, Blueberry Lemon Drop, Coconut Crush, Jefferson's Ocean "Aged at Sea" Old-Fashioned and all were well-prepared and delicious (we all had to try each others drinks). For the bites we picked the Creamy Salmon Dip, Ahí Tuna Wonton Crisps, Shrimp Toast, Crispy Cauliflower, and Beef & Cheese Sliders. All were very yummy but our favorites were the Crispy Cauliflower, Beef & Cheese Sliders and the Creamy Salmon Dip and of course, the Bang-Bang Shrimp! Wow- what a decline. This restaurant and other Bonefish locations were excellent for years; today's lunch was just awful. First, about the service. It was fine.. the problem was the food quality. The dip provided with the bread-- way too salty and poor. It used to be delicious. We had 3 different meals, a salmon dish with salmon that tasted awful. I eat salmon at least once a week.. this was the worst. The second lunch was a seafood fettuccine with recently thawed small shrimp and scallops. NOT GOOD. Poor quality. The third meal was a grilled trout, terribly overcooked. The broccoli served with the trout was overcooked, extremely salty and not edible. We would have returned each of the dishes (which we almost never do) but we needed to leave for a flight. But make no mistake, it was a terrible meal and we won't be back. Also- I tried to send this note to the restaurant directly- I prefer to contact them directly instead of a post here. But I couldn't find a way to email directly them through their website. Every once in a while I like to go to bonefish Grill for an after work drink and appetizer. The one in the DTC is closest to my job so I enjoy that location due to it being near my home as well. I really like the bar at this place. The bartenders are friendly. The atmosphere is nice. It's lit well, but not too dark to set the tone. It's extremely clean and it doesn't have a hard-core fish smell since they mostly serve seafood. I like the pricing of the drinks. I get the Cosmopolitan Every time I go. I got the Crab Topped Bang Fries, which are regular French fries with crab meat on top of aïoli sauce drizzled over the fries. It's really tasty. I ate pretty much the entire appetizer in one sitting. I do that with all seafood, it is not good as a leftover. I enjoy Bonefish Grill. The pricing is great and the seafood is tasty. read more

We were seated quickly and offered options for our preferred style of table which was greatly appreciated. Staff was kind and courteous. Waiter was friendly and informative. Provided assistance with the menu and steered me away from the item I ordered stating it was "the worst item on the menu since corporate changed the fish to two small filets which we almost always overcook". I appreciated the warning although a brutal takedown of corporate and the kitchen might have been overkill. Struggled with the menu which was heavy on rice and fishes covered with sauces but fairly limited in classic seafood dishes. The calamari was hot, but drowning in oil so perhaps a little longer on the drip tray, which proved true for the fish and chips with fries and popcorn shrimp. Fried well and given time to drain a bit all might have been a pretty good appetizer and meal but instead we're sitting in pools of oil that was oozing off of the food. The condiment cub of slaw was certainly not a side dish and if that's what they give they should just forget about it. The lobster stuffed shrimp were middle of the road; typical chain seafood fare so nothing special. The mashed potatoes were definitely from a box and had dried out so had an unpleasant taste and texture. I couldn't stomach the amount of oil the cod, fries, and shrimp were swimming in and had to set it aside. I was pleasantly surprised that the waiter noticed and took the plate off of the bill. Again, great people and service in the front of the house., but a few tweaks to the menu and kitchen would help tremendously. Mid-priced ordinary corporate chain food and ambiance in the line of Olive Garden, Red Lobster, and Outback. For upscale dining look elsewhere, for a quick "ok-ish" meal that isn't fast food and is close to the house this might do, but we aren't likely to try again due to the deficiencies in the food preparation. read more

Halloween happy hour couldn't have been better! We arrived around 4 p.m. when it was still quiet, and it felt like stepping into a whole new space since my last visit. The remodel is fantastic--it's much brighter and more open now. We kicked off with their special "Wicked Martinis," which lived up to the hype as "fantabulous and thrillifying" (their words!). Both were vodka and coconut rum-based: one with cranberry and mango, and the other with pineapple and apple flavors. They were on the sweeter side but absolutely delicious. Next, we ordered the happy hour Bang Bang Shrimp, Mussels Josephine, and Tuna Poke. The Bang Bang Shrimp is always a favorite, and it didn't disappoint--the happy hour portion is actually 1.5 times bigger than usual for just $17! The mussels and poke came in smaller bowls, with the mussels served alongside some bread and the poke with tortilla strips. Both were generous portions for $8 and oh-so-yummy. So this was the anti Denver Restaurant week meal.....they aren't a participating establishment....and why should they?? Their prices are very reasonable for what you get ( ahem unlike some of the so called deals for restaurant week). Great fresh fish prepared as asked. Loved the Mahi Mahi perfectly cooked with a simple pan-asian sauce. Salmon was great as was the special of the day Rockefeller Butterfish. Sides were great. We enjoy coming to Bonefish Grill in Greenwood Village for a nice weekend dinner. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere in the dining area is usually relaxing. One thing I don't love, however, is always hearing music coming from the kitchen. For example, tonight at 7:30, their kitchen music was already playing. I'm Latina and love lively music, but having the restaurant's background music and the kitchen's music going at the same time can feel a bit overwhelming. I ended up ordering one of their signature dishes named Lily's Chicken. I do not exaggerate when I say this was simply the best chicken I'd had in a very long time. Lemony and stuffed with goat cheese and spinach, it was tasty, tender, and perfectly cooked. My sides did not disappoint either. I highly recommend the Kung Pow Brussels sprouts and the garlic-whipped potatoes. In just a few minutes, I had cleared everything on my plate and was left wanting more. I recommend making reservations if you come on a weeknight; otherwise, be prepared to sit at the bar, which wasn't bad at all. I've been going to Bonefish Grill for many years and it really hasn't changed too much. It really could use an update. I'm not a seafood fan and I don't eat much fish but they've always had options for me. Tonight I tried the chicken marsala and it was fine. I upgraded to a side of the seasonal pumpkin ravioli and that was the highlight of my meal. The veggie was green beans and they were cooked nicely but could have used some seasoning. The birthday boy that I was taking to dinner had the Cod Imperial. He orders that frequent and this was the first time it was filled with bones. I tried one bite and it was way too chewy and fishy for my taste. Our server was Mackenzie and she was great. We had a drink in the bar before dinner and it was quite the challenge to get the bartender's attention. For dessert Mackenzie brought us the macadamia nut brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was delicious. I will probably go back to Bonefish Grill because lots of my friends and family like seafood - but it wouldn't be my first choice. read more

My wife and I decided to have our Valentine's Day dinner at the Bonefish. This is one of the busiest nights of the year for any restaurant, and these guys were slammed. I'm not complaining about that at all; I wanted to compliment the entire staff at the restaurant. I have never seen staff work so hard in my life. The most impressive part was that they did it with a smile and treated everyone with the highest level of respect. You could hear people asking the staff questions, and they could have easily chimed in with a negative comment or complaint; it never happened. Some customers were rude and disrespectful, but the staff was very professional. What a professional group that works there. My companion ordered the snow crab and it was so overcooked and dry you couldn't get any meat out of the shell. Came here for lunch with a co-worker in the middle of the week. They weren't busy and were immediately sat with a selection to pretty much any table we wanted. The server was kind and prompt with greeting us as well as getting drinks and our food order. The menu has many offerings from starters, salads, plates, etc. we both went with the New Poke bowl. We wanted to have a nice Valentine's Date and chose Bonefish Grill for the evening experience. I'm glad we had reservations as other guest had decided to enjoy a wonderful Valentine's Date. We were seated immediately and our server Ryan brought fresh bread, and olive oil with fresh herb to dip our bread in. After reviewing the menu we decided on the following. 1. Lobster Bisque served with another toasted olive oil season. However the toast with hard as a rock and not very appealing. 2. We ordered the buttery fish with crab and two sides - fresh steamed asparagus and coleslaw. We asked if they could split the order as we don't eat very much. We received our order within a few minutes and we were surprised as to the excellent taste of the fish. It had a outstanding buttery flavor with the right amount of season. The two sides were prepared properly. The asparagus was steamed to the correct doneness. The coleslaw had an excellent light balsamic flavor that enhanced the coleslaw. I am pleasantly surprised to find a Bonefish outside of Florida. Stumbled upon it by mistake while searching for something else on Yelp. Tucked out of the way in Greenwood Village and conveniently located neat Tech Center. Service was impeccable. Everyone I encountered was so kind and friendly and made me feel welcome. Such a rare thing these days, so it has to be commended up front. I would further call out Amanda as an extraordinarily sweet person that treats all her guests like royalty. Let's talk food and value. Bang bang shrimp appetizer was excellent as it is at every Bonefish. The filet mignon was fantastic and perfect med/rare. Expertly made cocktails, decent draft beer, and a unique wine list round out a very satisfying dining experience. Walking out of here with a $56 bill I felt like I was stealing from them! Bonefish Grill's catering served up market-fresh seafood & savory wood-grilled specialties that kept us out of the kitchen and enjoying each other's company all night long. Highlights of their extensive catering menu crafted for up to 10 guests includes dishes like their famous Bang Bang Shrimp and Creamy Cajun Pasta. I ordered our catering from the Bonefish location in Greenwood Village and picked it up the same day of the party. The Bonefish staff were so friendly and my order was right on time. All catering orders must be placed a minimum of five days' in advance prior to pick-up. Bonefish's catering orders include ready to serve packaging, serving utensils, plates, silverware & napkins. Our catering order included the Bang Bang Shrimp, Creamy Cajun Pasta, Ahi Tuna Sashimi, Beef & Ginger Potstickers and Fresh Bread with Pesto. Everything came with sauces in separate containers so the food stayed fresh until served. The Bang Bang Shrimp were crispy shrimp served with Bonefish's signature creamy, spicy sauce. So good. The Creamy Cajun Pasta was made with wood-grilled chicken red peppers & artichokes tossed in a creamy creole sauce finished over linguine. The creamy Alfredo-style sauce had sautéed veggies in it and was packed with warm spicy flavor from the Cajun seasoning. This was a lot of the girls' favorite dish of the night. The Ahi Tuna Sashimi was made with premium sushi-grade sesame tuna, seared rare with wasabi and pickled ginger. The ahi tuna was beautiful in color and had a mild, sweet flavor with a firm, meaty texture. The Beef & Ginger Potstickers were fried with green onions and soy sauce. The crispy fried dumplings had great umami flavor from the tender beef & aromatic ginger. The Fresh Bread came with a large thing of pesto. The bread was crunchy on the outside and nice and fluffy on the inside. Everyone loved dinner & couldn't say enough good things about the food! Seated promptly with reservations at a large, softly lit booth. Restaurant was quiet, so conversations were easier even though almost full on a Wednesday night. Older crowd. Excellent and competent waiter who was very attentive to wife's allergies which preclude most choices at most restaurants. Wait staff seemed well trained and happy to be there. Wife had lobster tails, I had dorado with mango- both happy with our meals. Drinks were well done. All in all a pleasant dinner. read more
