Not the best meal I've had. The red beans and rice were sub-par Very watery and lacking flavor. The fries taste as though they were fried in the same oil as everything else. The fried chicken was very bland I tried to power through and eat it with ranch and Tabasco. Unfortunately this did not help. My oldest got the pasta and marinara Which basically after trying to add extra sauce turned it into red water and noodles. My wife didn't finish her meal as well. The staff was all really nice and we got seated quickly. But I will probably not return.

The fried mushrooms are so tasty! Chicken fried steak with jalapeño gravy is a must try, I've never had a bad meal here.

Nice place with a homey vibe. Service was good and the meal was tasty. We both ordered the grilled salmon with lemon herb sauce.

First time in one of Jessie's Smokin' NOLA brick and mortar location, but I have had food off their food truck many years ago. Had the taste of NOLA, which comes with jambalaya, red beans and rice, fried shrimp and fried catfish. It's all delicious, well seasoned and flavors that not many other cajun places have. The fried shrimp and seafood are the standouts. No clue how they get the breading to stick on so thin, yet crispy and perfectly cooked. Shrimp was bouncy, not rubbery. The catfish filet was steaming hot when I took my first bite and very moist. One of the complaints I heard from other friends is that service is slow. They probably only had 2 people working when we went there, so maybe they're just running their staff very lean. You go up to the counter to order, but still had to wait a few minutes for the bartender (who was running around delivering food and bussing tables) to get to the register. The food is absolutely worth the wait and will visit for their other dishes when I'm on that side of town.

We were immediately sat on the patio around 5:45 PM. We were greeted and given "welcome bubbles". What a nice touch. After about 5 minutes, we were finally given menus. Other people were sat around us, so we waited to ask for the happy hour menu. We ordered the chef's choice charcuterie, a cocktail, and a glass of wine. The drinks and board were yum, but not quite a wine bar as there were very limited option by the glass. Also, we had to ask for plates and silverware where this is a basic item. While deciding on dinner, we were approached a couple times by the 2 servers in the section. One was friendly, the other, not so much, rather indifferent and made us feel a little uncomfortable and not very welcome. This kind of set the tone for the rest of our night. We ordered the "family share" chateaubriand. We realize this is an expensive cut, but the portion is definitely not a sharing cut, around 4 oz. It is closer to a single entree. When it arrived, the plate was cold, like the meat was lukewarm and the cauliflower was ice cold. Again, we had to ask for silverware and plates for this "family style shareable" plate. We brought the cauliflower temperature up with the server and got new cauliflower after we were done with the rest of the meal. Also, I sat with an empty wine glass and no one stopped to ask if I needed another glass. When the servers did stop by, it was a short interaction and we never even had a chance to ask before they were already walking away. We saw so many people come in and out that they must be doing something right, but for us, our experience was mediocre. If our meal would have been the correct temperature (it was well prepared, just cold) and better execution on the service, we may have had a better experience.

We've had similar celebrations at other restaurants over the years and 90% have met our expectations, but last Saturday at Eddie V's was by far the most amazing of them all! The food was unforgettable and our server, Nas, was very polite, professional and attentive but not intrusive. And, of course, it's an absolutely beautiful restaurant. We're looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend Eddie V's for any special occasion or just an awesome date night!

We arrived at 6 PM for our reservation, got seated around 6:15 PM, and didn't get dessert served until about 9:15 PM. Be prepared to spend at least 3 hours here. The complimentary bread was actually really good -- soft on the inside with a crispy exterior. For appetizers, we ordered the crab and spinach dip and the roasted oysters. Both were flavorful, filling, and probably the best part of the meal. For my entree, I got the Pasta Mardi Gras. The portion size was generous, but the dish was SO salty. The shrimp tasted heavily coated in salt, and the sausage was honestly too salty to eat. I drank 3 glasses of water during dinner because of how salty the food was. We finished with the turtle fudge brownie dessert. The chocolate flavor was rich, but the brownie itself was very dense and hard to spoon through. What also stood out was that the table next to us made a scene about the long wait and ended up receiving a discount. Considering everyone seemed to be waiting just as long, it would've been fair if all tables that night had received some kind of accommodation. Overall, I don't think the quality of the dining experience, service and food reflects the cost of the bill.
