The sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, and orange chicken are all flawless- each one perfectly crispy with sauces that are bold, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. It's a true mom-and-pop spot with that classic hole-in-the-wall Asian decor, nonchalant staff, and zero frills, but the food speaks for itself. Unassuming little place in a strip mall off of County Line and Quebec. The staff is extremely friendly, I often see them greeting folks as regulars. You really get a close neighborhood feel from them. It's a small interior, but quaint. We usually do takeout. The Chicken entrees are my go-to. The batter is light and crispy, and I never have an issue with soggy chicken! Today, the chicken was so fresh that is was still piping hot - perfection. The general chicken is my favorite sauce, but I like the orange as well. Though, my orange chicken has less sauce than usual would like, it was still delicious and I appreciated that they made sure nothing would soak up the moisture and get soggy - I don't need something drenched in sauce. The fried rice is good, flavorful, but it would be nice to have some eggs, scallions or veggies in it. Still flavorful and nice, regardless. We usually add on a vegetable egg roll or crab Rangoon to complete it! So overall, very happy with this location and I would go as far to say it's my favorite Chinese takeout in the area. read more

Horrible food horribly overpriced! We ordered dumplings, garlic chicken and beef with snow peas it was inedible, all of it! None of the food tasted good and we couldn't finish it. The dumplings were like paste and even after my wife fried them up they sucked! No amount of soy sauce could help the food. I picked it up and the "hostess" who was a woman about 19 and obviously hung over or sick greeted me and didn't know what I was talking about when I gave my name. We've ordered delivery from Egg Roll King two or three times a year for the last decade and a half, and always on Thanksgiving Eve. The delivery times are consistently faster than what they state on the phone, the drivers are always very pleasant, and the food is fantastic every time. My wife and I invariably get the "Family Style Dinner" with each one's choice of entree, an appetizer sampler, hot and sour soup and extra mustard for dipping our appetizers in. Sometimes we'll add some sushi. The portion sizes are large enough that we have leftover Chinese food to rotate with the leftover Thanksgiving fixings every year. I've only ever eaten in the restaurant once, many years ago. I remember it being pleasant with good service. I'm sure we'll continue to get delivery on occasion from this great little place as long as we live in the area and the restaurant remains open. read more

Do not get delivery from here. Ordered over $200 worth of food, scheduled the delivery way in advance, and waited 2 hours past scheduled delivery for the food. The owner kept lying saying that the food would be there in an hour then when complained it was over 1 hour late said it would be there in 30 mins (this happened multiple times). They told us it was our fault because we used 3rd party but it was the delivery through their website. They also started to ignore calls associated to order and had to call off another phone to get answered. read more

We've been looking for good Chinese food in Colorado for 7 years and still haven't found it. It was ok, not great. I don't like the "egg rolls" in Colorado. These are actually spring rolls. First time customer here. I was not disappointed. I was a walk in customer and placed a to go food order. My food was ready within 8-10 minutes, well packaged and included a menu for future use. The staff was efficient. Highlights: the hot-n-sour spicy soup was delicious; the sweet and sour chicken entree was great and the vegetable egg rolls were warm and tasty. It's always a hit or miss with take out from Asian restaurants. This one however to me is the worst I have had. We got the orange chicken and sesame beef with white and fried rice. The orange chicken had no flavor and was nothing but breading and the beef was dry and again had no flavor to it at all. We also got the crab wontons and they were so greasy that is all you could taste with them. The only decent thing about the meal was the fried rice. It was actually very good compared to other places I have been and gotten take out from. I would be willing to go into the restaurant to give them another shot though. read more

I tried them again tonight with different menu items and I have to say it's some of the worst Chinese food I've ever had. So disappointing.. The wrapper on the egg rolls and crab/cheese wontons are horrible. They taste like starchy cardboard and the filling isn't much better. I tried the beef and the chicken and I would pick the chicken because the beef was mushy. Either way nothing tastes fresh at all. The apps taste like they have been sitting in the freezer for months. Since moving here a little over 1.5 years ago, I had never really found a true Chinese restaurant, so we decided to try and find one. That's how I found Egg Roll King, and I am glad I did! Everything from the phone call in, to picking it up and the food itself was excellent! Ordered egg rolls (got a free order too, thanks guys!), dumplings, Hot & Sour soup, and Pork LoMein. Coming from the restaurant industry, I could tell immediately that they used fresh oil to fry their egg rolls and their free crispy noodles, definitely a plus! The dumplings tasted very light and fresh, not the filling dumplings I've had before. The filling was excellent, well mixed and tasted very fresh, the oil was crisp and clean, and the dipping sauce was sweet with a hint of tart, A++++! The Pork LoMein.....WOW! It was definitely the best I've had outside of Chinatown in Philly, even better than the place I used to order from back in NJ. It's a definite go-to! Egg Roll King had a wonderful menu, and they even offered Japanese cuisine. I find the beef here to be on the rare side but they have some incredible walnut shrimp and sesame chicken. Love the egg rolls and all the soups are great. Kind and friendly customer service from the owner and her crew. They also deliver and that's great too. I'd come here any time and it's by far the best Chinese food in the area. This is my 2nd time ordering here and it was delicious again! Their lo mein is really great and the portion size is HUGE. One serving size could easily feed 3-4 people if eaten with sides. Lots of veggies and chicken in it as well! Their crab cheese wontons are perfectly filled and cooked! Dipped in a little spicy mustard and they are a nice crunchy appetizer. Last but not least, their egg rolls....I could eat these by themselves for dinner they are so good! Really crunchy and not at all soggy! This place has been here forever and lots of take out orders. Came to try the dinner menu with complete dinner for two. Includes soup and appetizers. The hot and sour soup is really good different than most other restaurants'. More richer in taste and not too sweet. The appetizer place includes egg rolls,dumplings and crab Rangoons. I really like the chicken lo mein dish the noodle is perfectly cooked with the sauce. The Shrimp and lobster dish is a bit on the salty side good to accompany the rice. Server was nice, food was good until we got a beef dish - and I don't know what it was but it was rubbery plastic and it did not taste like meat... we each took one bite and told her it was inedible but she charged for it.
