My wife ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken and I ordered Thai Basil Chicken. Surprisingly to us the chicken for the Sweet & Sour was deep fried. Admittedly it was nicely deep fried but our experience is more of a stir fried chicken. The S&S sauce was just okay. My Thai Basil was disappointing. It was labeled as spicy it it totally wasn't. So good! They renovated the place so it's so much more open and brighter now. The service is great, very friendly and takes care of their customers. Most of all, the food is amazing! I know I'm probably speaking from a non-Asian food expert. But I am speaking from someone who loves good food... and healthy food! Food is so good. I'll be honest - I'm not that much of a fan of chinese fast food. BUT i do love Mongolian Beef. I enjoyed my dish. I ordered the lunch special of the General Tsao and Mongolian Beef and they were ready rather quick. The employee that took my order was really nice also. The food was a bit salty for my taste. Typically, I like more scallions in my Mongo Beef, but overall the dishes were prepared well. Price was good for the portion size. I liked it. Food: 3.75/5 (Sesame chicken 3.5/5, Combo Lo Mein 4/5): Rounding this up to overall 4/5 due to how hot and well the dishes stayed with takeout too. Combo lo mein was by far our favorite and the sesame chicken was fine but nothing special. Would get a different dish next time. Parking: 5/5 can't complain. They have good deal on Lunch specials which come with an entree, fried rice, soup, crunchy noodles, dipping sauce and either crab Rangoon or fried spring roll (they call it egg roll but it has the thin wrapper). Food arrives fast so it's a great lunch option. Also saw they had FREE lunch delivery. In a world with $6 grub hub deliver, I like free ;) I really like their hot and sour soup, it's not that spicy or sour per se and lacks wood ear mushrooms but I never eat them anyway. Instead, it has a more homemade and "clean" flavor which I enjoyed. Egg drop soup has little corn bits in it and has a strong chicken broth flavor. My little bro enjoyed it a lot. Definitely as good as it gets for Chinese in our area. I love Asian food and have sampled the majority of our local Asian cuisine restaurants over the years and just stumbled onto He-Xing Garden last week. I almost didn't go inside due to the mixed reviews but decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I will be returning often to explore their menu further. Service was pleasant and helpful. The food was yummy, flavorful, presented well and was pretty fresh tasting. I've only ordered fried dishes here and look forward to trying their stir fries next. Just received their menu in the mail and read a few good reviews. We ordered the Mu Shu Pork and I didn't like it at all. First of all they forgot the pancakes. The to go container was filled with way more gloppy liquid than there should have been. It came with a very dark cornstarchy sauce that was not right. And I felt like there could have been more vegetables. Tried the BBQ ribs...pretty tasty but very small. Got some egg drop soup and it was good. Also tried the shrimp and broccoli. I ordered from this place on a whim, and am so glad I did. I've been ordering from here for almost a year. The food is always good, fresh, and fast. My favorite are the Vietnams egg rolls, happy to find them at a Chinese restaurant. They are a meal on there own. The only thing I've ordered I didn't like was the egg foo young. Read some positive reviews on Yelp and decided to give it a try. This was the most pedestrian Chinese food I've ever had. I spent 59 dollars including a 20% tip on Two orders of sesame chicken, fried rice, two spring rolls, and one order of crab cheese wontons. The food was delivered quickly and was warm when it arrived. The portion size was decent but it just was very bland and uninspired. My wife could not even finish her order and stated that it tasted like it was previously frozen. We ended up disposing of the leftovers and felt very disappointed in the money we had spent. I generally like the food from here at the Centennial location. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and was very disappointed. The crab cheese wontons were great though. 1) Kung Pao sauce is not watered down like chicken soup. It's supposed to be thick and sticky/pasty, (Cornstarch, soy sauce or tamari, granulated sugar, Sichuan peppercorns, Chinese black vinegar, Chinese rice wine/dry sherry, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, whole dried red chilies, peanuts, ginger and veggies) 2) My KP-Chix was so watery, it leaked out into the paper bag causing the bag to tear open when I lifted it up and out to take it inside. Now its all over my seat and shoes leaving me a huge mess to clean up plus my time. 3) This KP sauce had no spice what so ever in it. It literally tastes like slightly sweetened soy sauce. Not to mention, I paid $13.95 for this entree. REALLY??? I know that COVID has messed up a lot of things, but businesses should take in consideration how many restaurants have closed. A friend and I tried this restaurant on Saturday for lunch. Our experience couldn't have been more different than most of the other reviews. The restaurant has a very elegant ambiance to it, and wasn't too crowded or noisy, with fast and friendly service. Lunch specials range from about $7.50 to $9, and you get soup, crispy noodles, an entree, an egg roll, and fried rice. I had Happy Family and the sauce was particularly tasty, along with a good mix of chicken, shrimp, and beef. My friend had sesame chicken and she enjoyed it a lot. We ordered 4 entrees and all of us had enough for leftovers the next day (and then some). So, when you divide the cost by 8 meals, it was very reasonably priced. When I got my food it was cold and I was missing one of the things I ordered, then I had to wait for that to be delivered and was not offered any compensation.
