It took an extra moment before I was greeted but thereafter, the service was on par. Since breakfast is served all day, I went with the Cinnamon Apple French Toast, sans whipped cream. Today, it was made with fresh sourdough, dipped in a cinnamon vanilla custard. The vanilla is slight in flavor and the cinnamon is more noticeable in the apple compote.....which is IMHO the best part of the entree. The entree was a good portion without needing extra sides (but don't hold back if you are famished). The seating area was clean and the diner overall was nicely decorated...not overly cluttered like most diners. The tables are closely placed and best for solo, duo, or family dining. Darling place. Our server was very helpful and friendly. The menu choices looked amazing. Heard about the wonderful apple pie and cinnamon rolls, but they were sold out. Our group of three ordered a sausage biscuits and eggs meal and two Monte Cristo sandwich meals. All three of our meals were luke warm when we received them. The frys, everything was not fresh. The cristo sandwiches were not dipped in any batter and were not crispy at all. You could see where one side had been grilled for awhile. Very disappointed with the food! We were so excited about the place until we received our food. They were not that busy so we are not sure why our food was not fresh, and why our cristo sandwiches were not crispy like we expected. My daughter and I came here at 7PM on a Friday after a school event. My daughter had the cheeseburger, which was as cooked perfectly. I had the hot beef sandwich, which you can't find many places in the Denver area. My food was delicious. I had wine, my daughter had iced tea. The service was great, very attentive. Plenty of street parking and there's a lot in the back. We showed up around the morning time. And the ere was a line outside the door. We ended up sitting at the bar since t ere was room. We've been here a handful of times and this was busiest I've seen. Even after being seated there was a line so we came at peak time. Last time I ordered the breakfast potatoes comes with eggs and bacon and a side of sour cream. It was pretty starchy but edible. They also don't have milk alternatives so I won't order coffee here. I noticed at the bar they do have a few alcohol options . Although I didn't have a drink this time. The bar seemed clean a few glasses sitting out but all and all clean. The wait wasn't too bad to sit and we didn't feel rushed to leave. So if you have a small party I suggest sitting at the bar. read more

Such a find in a lovely historical neighborhood of Parker. This diner is a perfect mix of nostalgia and GREAT food! I had a BLAT sandwich with no less than 7 pieces of bacon!! I love the bright, cheery, old-timey vibe of this place. We were seated quickly. We chose Rory's on the recommendation of one of BF's favorite IG food bloggers. The food was good, flavorful, and arrived hot. Portions are smallish, though. I had the Parker Porker omelette with home fries and gluten-free flatbread. The omelette came smothered in pork green chile, which wasn't strongly flavored. The home fries were delicious, and the gluten-free flatbread was buttery and herby. But there's only two little triangles. BF had the chicken-fried chicken with gravy. There were two smallish pieces. He said usually it's pounded thin and the size of the plate, or there's three pieces. He loved the mashed potatoes. We shared the Colorado Cheesesteak, which lacked jalapeños (because they were out), and it was quite good, but not great. We had small pieces of pie for dessert, which arrived on doll-sized plates. The Key Lime was delicious, with a buttery crust. BF liked his blueberry pie. This is the good, and why four stars. Now for the not-so-great and why I considered three stars. I ordered a side Caesar salad. It never arrived, even though it was on the bill. It did get taken off. We were not offered or given water. I had a hot tea, which arrived as a mug of hot water and a box of tea bags. No refill offered. BF asked for a refill of his lemonade, and was told there would be an upcharge. He said fine. It never arrived, and neither did the water that he requested. Our server was friendly enough, but sloppy in that she never brought the salad, but left it on the bill. I don't know if BF was charged for the second lemonade that he never received. So...cute place, decent food, but we won't be returning. read more

After not having eaten here since my review from four years ago and seeing a lot of positive reviews, I decided to try it again. In a nutshell, no thanks! Could I have possibly come here on an 'off' day both times? I looked at some of the other one and two star reviews and they sound similar to my experiences, so I don't think this was a 'one-off' (or a 'two-off', in this case). Me and The Hubs were in this area recently at breakfast time and I suggested that we try it (he had never been before). After sitting down we ordered two coffees and water and perused the menu. The Hubs ordered the Veg Omelet (Onion, tomato, spinach, mushroom, and green pepper omelet with Swiss cheese) and 'upgraded' from toast to a biscuit. I ordered the Farmer's Omelet (Sausage, tomato, spinach, and mushroom omelet with cheddar cheese) and also 'upgraded' from toast to a biscuit plus sausage gravy. Overall it wasn't a positive experience, but I'll break it down. Starting with the positives: - The omelets were large and full of the fillings listed on the menu. - The side of potatoes was generous. - The coffee here is better than most places where we have breakfast. - The sausage gravy was tasty. - The service was very good, even though the place was mobbed (mid-week)! Orders were taken promptly, coffees and waters were kept refilled. Server was friendly! - Restaurant is very 'diner-cute'. The negatives: - Greasy. Everything was greasy. The potatoes had a weird 'off' flavor from whatever they cook them in and were greasy. The omelets WOULD have been good if there hadn't been a significant amount of oil on the plate underneath them. - My biscuit was hard. I swapped with The Hubs since his was uncut and mine came out already cut in half, buttered, and griddled (how they do it if you're getting gravy to go with it). He didn't mind a buttered, griddled one. I struggled to cut the whole one in half in order to put some gravy on it. The top third of it was sort of soft but the bottom was hard as a rock. I put gravy on that top part and it was OK - but only because of the gravy. - NOISY!! If the place is packed, the decibel level in here is off the charts! Maybe the day we went was one of those 'one-off' kind of days but I couldn't wait to get out of there. The noise in the restaurant is the minor part of things, but ambiance is important to me. Mainly, not only was the amount of grease/oil on everything off-putting but the flavor was weird. In my opinion, there are better places to eat. And I'll continue to go to those places. read more

Had brunch today for the first time at Rory's diner. Bridget was an absolute delight and recommended their drink special of a cranberry sage Mimosa. It tasted just like Thanksgiving. The service is nice and welcoming. I always love the decor and music, it always makes me feel like I'm in grease haha but seriously I love diners and Rory's is definitely one of my favorites. However, the reason why I gave it 4 stars is because it seems like the times I've gone the milkshake machine is broken! I'm always so disappointed because it one of the main reasons I go but that doesn't stop me from eating there and having a good time!
