Stopped by for dinner reading all the great reviews. Be sure to make a reservation as they are very busy. They have an expansive menu with everything from sandwiches, steaks, and other meals. Almost everything is homemade. They start you off with homeade pretzel bread which was delicious. We had the chicken fried steak, burgers and pork chops. The steak was great, hand breaded in house. The pork chops had great flavor. The only exception was the white gravy was a little old and very heavy. The burgers were excellent. Perfectly cooked medium with plenty of toppings. Duke's is the neighborhood Cheers restaurant and bar. Unpretentious in a neighborhood whose zip code holds the biggest income earners. You cannot beat consistency every time. The drinks are strong, the food is always good, and service is nothing but smiles. I am bummed the sliders fell off menu but the steak salad and burgers make up the protein craving if you're not having the prime rib. It's never not busy and definitely the spot to be for prime rib night, steak salad or football. Happy hour is awesome because their martinis are killer! The dining area is great if you want to escape the bustling energy in the bar. We prefer the high tops and there's usually one available. Parking can be nuts in this shopping area but the walk isn't far and worth it. Pull up a chair and my friends will most likely chat off your ears while cheering another round of martinis and wine! read more

Easy five stars here! Place had a good. I w and obviously a number of people there were regulars. Looking at the various plates ordered at the different tables it is clear that making a decision is hard! I really enjoyed what I ordered but the fried Walleye looked amazing and the waitress said it was. Desserts were amazing! My daughter and I stopped in for lunch as we waited for her car to get an oil change. To say disappointment is an understatement. The best part of my lunch were the French fries. I got the shaved beef sandwich with au ju sauce and a side of queso. Which was supposed to be on the sandwich. The beef was as dry as jerky. The au ju flavorless. My queso had a chunk of plastic bag in it. The beef was unseasoned dry pieces. Nothing else but a bun. Her salad was meh. The service slow but friendly. I probably won't be back for lunch. I have been wanting to come here for a long time. Finally had a day off and had lunch here. First time, won't be the last. Sat at the bar, the bartender was very cordial. She told me that the lunch special was a Popper Burger. Say no more! I ordered a beer and the burger. The burger was HUGE! It came with 2 poppers on top with pepperjack cheese. As you can see from the picture I took, the veggies come on the side so you can use as much or as little as you like. I pulled the poppers off and ate them separately, delicious. The burger, well it is one of the best burgers I have had for some time. Sure, we go to a few of the regular burger places that do smash type burger, this more like a char burger. Just so fricking good. The fries were the battered type and were so good. I was able to power through and eat the entire burger, left some of the veggies and a couple fries and I was so full. A good kind of full! So much more to try, and will be trying to find an evening to go have dinner. read more

For a Friday night, I was surprised it wasn't busy. I chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be perfect--no wait for a table and a great atmosphere. Initially, I planned on having just one drink and ordering takeout, but I decided to dine in instead. And wow, I'm so glad I did! The filet and scallops special, topped with lobster sauce, was absolutely incredible. The filet was cooked to perfection--so tender I only needed my fork. The lobster bisque-style sauce added a rich, flavorful twist that elevated the dish, even though I usually prefer my steak simply with salt and pepper. My bartender, Alden, was fantastic. He was the first (and only) one to greet me right away, checked in often, and made sure I had everything I needed. His attentiveness really stood out. I'm fairly certain this meal wasn't gluten-free, but it was worth every bite--that's how good it was. Having traveled a lot this year, I can honestly say this deserves a 5-star rating, even for the seafood, which I usually only find exceptional back home on the East Coast. Busy Saturday night, we were a party of 5 dining at 7:30 (I called 2 hours before and made the reservation). The restaurant was packed and it took a while to get our order in and food out, but the manager and our server were attentive. The staff at Duke's were kind, the atmosphere was typical Colorado steakhouse ( some people dressed up, others in hoodies and hats.) I'm Celiac so I ordered a gluten free Top Sirloin with veggies and sweet potato. My kids got the Mac and cheese, and kids shrimp. Others got steak, too. Kind of mediocre overall on a Sunday night. We found an empty four top in the bar, sat, and waited. About the time I was going to walk over to the restaurant side to see if service might've been faster over there, a waitress finally came by to help. For the most part moving forward, she wasn't the reason for the lower review than I usually give. Drinks were refilled, and offers were regularly made for more wine or anything else. My wife and I both had the sirloins, and even though they were cooked fine, they were both rather dry and tasteless. My wife always says this about their sirloin, but I found it worse on this night than usual. Mashed potatoes are the star for me. Mixed veggies don't taste like much, and my wife just got broccoli instead. Side Caesar salads, which are usually impressive, didn't impress me on this night. One daughter got her regular chicken Parmesan, which she again liked. The other got the pork chop for the first time and liked it. Guessing she'll get it again. And of course the French onion soup. The big issue on this night was how slow everything was coming from the kitchen. Long wait for soup and salads, and a really long wait for food. Borderline comically long. Not sure if they were short staffed -- they weren't that busy at 7:00 on a Sunday night -- but it really threw off the whole meal. I'm sure we'll be back, as there just aren't that many decent restaurants around; however, with prices like these, maybe it'll be awhile. read more

Every time we've dined, this place is BUSY! The first time we dined in the dining room and honestly the atmosphere was interesting. They present an intimate setting but a lot of families dine so not quite the same. (We have opted to not bring our toddler yet.) Each return trip we have chosen to eat in the bar area where the booths are tucked back. We would prefer to dine here every time! The prime rib is great and our go-to. I also enjoy the jalapeño popper appetizer with its raspberry jam for dipping. I had The Wedge Salad and my husband had the Steak and Cheese sandwich. I enjoyed the homemade dressing and loaded toppings of my salad. I had read how people had ordered. Burger there and it didn't measure up to their specifications, but I thought i would gi e it a try, as a good friend f of mine, who frequently eats there, had highly recommended their burgers. So I went and inquired as to "How the Chef Cooks, either more on the fine dude or less done?" I was told the Medium had a tiny bit of pink in the middle and Medium Rare more pink and some red. Do I decided to go Medium Rare, as I like more Pink, just not Bloody. When it came, it was no where near Medium Rate, more Medium on the Dine side. My waitress asked if I wanted to "send it back" and I said no :-(. But I was very disappointed. I ate half of it. At No Time during my meal did my waitress come and "Check on me" to see if I wanted anything or any other questions. I was not Impressed, at sll!!! Will I be back, probably not. A nice feel to the place, kinda like an English Pub in the 40's. Staff was nice but busy as she was alone in the bar so it took awhile to get refills on drinks. The food was okay but it reminded me of the type of food you would find at the upscale buffets in the 80's and 90's. The crowd was older which makes sense because that is who it feels they are appealing to. I have eaten here twice. The first time I had a filet mignon. It was perfectly cooked and excellent. The second time I had a burger and it was good, but not as good as the steak. The only complaint I have with Duke's is their beer. Their beer is undercarbonated and/or beer lines are dirty. To me this is a big deal. Food was good, beer was bad. For me, I need both to be good. Been coming to Dukes about 15 years now. Love the simplicity of this steakhouse EXCEPT - it's time to retire the soggy side veggies that come with the steak. We used to love this place. I even would tell my clients moving to Castle Pines about it. Our experience yesterday was so bad, we may never go back. We were sat at our table. Nobody greeted us or got our drink order for close to 10 minutes. We finally pulled a server over and asked for help. Several minutes later, our sloppy server finally came over. Instead of greeting us, she seriously sad, "excuse me, I want to tell this lady I love goodbye." Then when she finally comes back I ask for a glass of wine and a hot green tea with honey. When she finally brings my green tea she asks if I want honey, even though I blatantly just ordered it with honey. My husband ordered a Swiss and avocado burger medium rare. I ordered the wedge salad with extra bacon and clue cheese crumbles and a cup of French onion soup. My husband was delivered a totally different burger with mushrooms and my salad looked gross and did not have extra blue cheese crumbles or bacon. His burger was taken back. It was obvious they just scraped the toppings off his burger when they te-delivered it. And guess what it was medium well to well done. When he showed it to sloppy Leah, she argued with him and was combative. Telling him it was medium rare, despite the fact it wasn't pink, red or medium rare at any capacity. My husband pretty much only ate his side of coke slaw and nothing else. I was so furious I didn't even finish my glass of wine. The manager offered a weaksauce attempt to act like she cared by taking the totally uneaten burger off the check, when she should have paid for our entire bill. We won't be back for a very long time, if ever. This place is super filthy too and really needs a deep clean and safety inspection. read more

Super friendly and attentive. Food came out great and tasty. We ended up enjoying ourselves so much we came back for their brunch on Sunday! Bummer. Was there last night and 3 weeks ago. Ordered it he same food (wedge salad, large ribeye with mashed potatoes). The first time it was really good - portion size, flavor, tenderness. Yummy. But this time the steak flavor was just ok, and the meat was full of gristle, so ha d to cut, chew and swallow. Different circumstances I would have sent it back, it was that disappointing. The salad was lackluster compared to my previous visit. The service was quite good on both visits and the atmosphere is pretty nice. So when it's a big hit, it's really wonderful- when it's not, it's kinda sorta 'awful'. Bummer cause I thought I'd found my new go to steak place. I would really like to give them 2 1/2 stars. When I walked in, I thought it was going to be just okay. I kept an open mind though but my prediction was correct. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't great. I wouldn't fight people if they insisted we go but I also wouldn't ever recommend returning. It is super loud inside. The mushrooms I ordered on the side, were either canned or jarred. That was a let down. Then the bearnaise sauce was so greasy, I did not eat it. Best part of the meal was the sweet potato fries. The steaks had good flavor but mine had a fair amount of fat. OMG! We went to Dukes for an early Sunday night family dinner to try their weekend prime rib and it was exactly what I've been missing in my life. The hubs & I both ordered the 20 oz bc I was planning ahead for prime rib & eggs the for breakfast (YUM for that too). Our waitress was amazing. So friendly, knowledgeable and so attentive our entire meal & when it started getting busy. The dinner comes with a baked or garlic mashed potato and steamed vegetable side. And they serve pretzel bread basket. Everything was so good and such reasonable prices. The prime rib is only served on the weekends and starts at 4pm. Don't skip on this place. read more
