We don't go here enough. The food and drinks are great, along with outdoor seating. Service has never been an issue and in fact, when compared to the prior Vines restaurant, it is much better. Brussels, Drum Sticks, Mussels, seared Ahi, Blackened Caesar Salad, Pear and Beet Salad, Hot Italian Sandwich and Bolognese are the go-to's for us. We miss the Ginger Salmon dish which was replaced with the Creamy Dill Salmon and not a fan. Fridays and Saturdays are busy and suggest a reservation. read more

Time for a review update because while I like the Black + Haus for the location and the drinks, the food was not very good this time around. While it was a busy Saturday night, our group of 4 was seated right away. Service was quick and our waitress was very friendly. Even sitting in the back room, the dining area was loud so it was hard to have a nice conversation. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and I was so disappointed. The sandwich lacked any spice, the chicken was chewy and the bun very dry. I did however like the salad (substitute for fries) as the lemon balsamic dressing was very delicious. Our server name Anthony was fantastic. It was 2 days after Christmas so they were very busy. Anthony did a great job serving us and talking to us about the food and drinks. This was my first time at the Black Haus. I sat outside and the vibe was nice with a band playing across the street. The food, however, left a lot to be desired. It was warm outside so I ordered a "Pistachio lager" that was warm when delivered. For dinner I ordered the bison burger which was extremely well done (I ordered "medium"). I upgraded to the parmesan fries for an extra $2 which got me a barely noticeable coat of garlic and parmesan on the fries . I most likely won't return. read more

I always say chase your dreams...in high heels of course and dine at Black Haus as your reward. I'm here for lunch, happy hour and dinner. So that's A LOT!!!! The service is always consistently happy and friendly. Food comes out so quick that I don't even have time to graze over my appetizers. One of the best restaurants in town that offers delicious food and gluten free options. There's like 7 main entree choices. Phenomenal. Why it is a favorite with the babe. I love their rotating cocktail features. I am waiting for them to bring back this one coconut martini that I've been dreaming off but until then, I drink lots of wine here. Our favorite choices are the shrimp creole, short ribs and the salmon. Parmesan fries are my favorite along with the Brussel sprouts and shishito peppers. Come here for a good time. Got the BH burger that came with fries for $19 and upcharge for dipping sauce. I will definitely skip that. Burger was smash type and was delicious. However, arugula and lettuce was inedible, stringy. The chef needs to check the burger and change to crispy iceburg or serve on the side. Overall, it was nice place to dine. Went to the venue after class with a few of my classmates and I ordered the chicken wrap sandwich based on the suggestion of the waitress and thank you - it was quite tasty! I had the chicken wrap with fries and the only sad thing was how can you serve fries and not Heins ketchup? That's like a New York streak and no A- 1 sauce, I might as well not have the steak. First time there last night, when asked if we had reservations, we didn't. The death stare from the blonde host was uncomfortable and odd. Restaurant was steady in business - chick pot pie was slightly above room temperature, dessert order was incorrect, and the restroom appeared to have been used in a scene of Titanic with water everywhere. Our server was spot on, polite, sharp and pleasant - we typically don't bring issues up at the table simply because of the added hassle. Other dishes in the dinner were good, burgers and salads. Don't know what happened with this place but but as of January 2026, the food and service has gone considerably down the portions are very small and it just doesn't have the same vibe. I don't know if this place was sold and it's under new ownershiip and they're trying to get into their groove. But I wouldn't recommend this place to eat any longer. It's really not good. read more

My husband and I have been here twice. The first time was a couple of years ago and we got the Brussel sprouts, a burger and chicken sandwich and it was just okay, so I didn't leave a review. We decided to give it another try. The atmosphere is great and the service was A+, but the food was just once again okay. We got the mussels and a lot of them were closed so we couldn't eat them. My husband got the crab cakes and the flavor was okay, but they were very mushy, and I got the southwestern salad and I was disappointed that it was very much like a salad from a grocery refrigerator section. The chicken was cold and dry, it wasn't a fresh piece of grilled chicken it was refrigerated chicken, the lettuce was wilted, I didn't care for the dressing, and overall it just wasn't that good. We started with the crispy cauliflower which were light but flavorful with an aoli that was a bit spicy. We ended up getting the blackened shrimp Caesar salad and the Cuban with the Parmesan fries. We loved the Parmesan fries and the Cuban. I'd highly recommend both. The blackened Caesar wasn't as good as I expected it to be because I'm very picky about my Caesar dressings. My husband and I came across this spot and decided to pop in for a quick brunch/snack and drink. Unfortunately, we experienced quite awful service. The place was fairly empty compared to the other restaurants around the area so we didn't figure there was a reason for such slow and inattentive service. It took over 10 minutes for someone to greet us at our table and about 20 minutes for us to receive our drinks. I am pregnant so I ordered a non alcoholic mimosa and my husband ordered a cocktail. When the waitress finally brought our drinks she asked me if I had the regular mimosa. I expressed "no, I ordered the non alcoholic" and she responded with a "oh yeah, yeah, right" not convincing me at all that the drink did not contain alcohol. Though we smelled the drink and we both tasted it, I was not convinced or confidently able to drink the drink I ordered. Another strike and an unfortunate waste of money. My husband drank the beverage and noted that the cocktail he ordered for himself was very weak and just plain not worth it. Next, they got one of our orders incorrect by the time our food finally came out and we had to wait another 10+ minutes for the flatbread to come out. (They gave us sliders instead of a Cheese Flatbread for our child.) The flatbread was quite yucky and extremely heavy on the garlic and soggy. Would not order it again or recommend it in the slightest. It took another 20minutes or so to get us the check once we were done and at that point we were just ready to leave. The only positive things I have to say about this experience was the fried pickles were decent and the busboy who delivered the flatbread was kind. read more

Their other food is probably better, but the fish tacos are a WRECK. I don't know how this is possible, but not a single element worked. The batter wasn't fully cooked. The salsa didn't taste very fresh. There wasn't enough crema. Every taco fell apart because there's damp slaw at the bottom. By the time I got to the third taco (because I couldn't hold the first two anymore), it immediately split when I picked it up. Then a giant fly landed on all our food. I had incredible tacos in Cabo a few months ago. Part of me was hoping these would match them, even though we're landlocked. WOW that was a hopeless endeavor. Took them a while to come take our order. Then appetizers came after 10 mins, and entrees came after another 20. Then it took them a while to check on us / bring the check. At the end of the meal, I noticed my cloth napkin wasn't even properly clean in the first place. Sunkissed mocktail was okay. Idek why I'm giving 3 stars. Unfortunately Black+Haus Tavern did not hit the mark for us. It had a great atmosphere that feels perfect for a date night, but feels like it tries to be fine dining and just isn't. At the prices they are charging the kitchen cannot miss the mark and unfortunately it did on both of our meals. My burger was seriously overcooked and tastes like charcoal on the edges, and my partners food just didn't taste good. I don't have an issue with paying a premium price for food that is exceptional but this simply wasn't. Our server was great, but started to make us feel like we needed to hurry up and vacate at around 7:00PM so they could close at 8:00 which happened to be right after we received our food. If it was closer to closing time I would get it, but an hour before? TL:DR - overpriced subpar food, mediocre service but a great ambiance. This place exceeded my expectations for brunch. The menu was pretty limited and I was not sure what sounded good. However, I decided on the short rib skillet and was impressed. It was super flavorful, I loved the gravel on it, but it could have had more meat in it. My eggs were also not over easy as requested, but it was still great. And the drink I ordered (not sure of the name, but it included an egg white) was delicious! Meh. If there's ever a classic 3-3.5 star place, this may be it. We realized it's almost exactly a year to the day we came here the first time when we were visiting from Texas and considering Parker as a potential move site. Today, we sat on the patio, and the woman who seated us ended up being our waitress as well. We only had to wait 10-15 mins between when she seated us and when she came back to finally greet us as our waitress. They don't have a great beer menu, but we decided on one we both liked from Downhill Brewing, so we got two of them. I had the spicy chicken sandwich, and honestly, it tasted like how you fear every grilled chicken sandwich might taste if you order it. Dry, tough, kind of tasteless. The sauce helped a bit, but not much. I fought through it because I was starving, but I wouldn't get it again. My wife has raved about the steak sandwich for the past year, so of course, she got it again. And of course, this one didn't compare. Kind of tough, she fought through it, because again, we were starving, but she said the one she had last year was definitely better. The star of both visits was the crispy cauliflower. Whether you get it as an app or a side (as we both did on this visit), you won't be disappointed. After the initial long wait, service was fine the rest of the way. Not the best, but not the worst.
